This comic is beautiful ! I will forever love Purpah’s art style. I had started reading this series even when it was on webtoons canvas! Seeing it get a physical release is fantastic and well earned! The format of the ebook is nice and easy to read. The story is fun and exciting to read (well technically a reread for me but fun regardless ).
ADORABLE!
Huggable, lovable and absolutely adorable. Suitor Armor... I don't even know where to start. The art is gorgeous- there are a few panels in particular that I'd love to have prints of. The story is engaging and immersive I have so many questions and cannot wait for the next volume. I really like the world and magic system that we are being introduced to. I loved all the characters and the dialogue I laughed out loud several times.
There are themes of love and acceptance as well as several plot points setting up for so much story to come and I cannot wait to see where it goes. Lucia is a beautiful character- I'm looking forword to more moments with her and Modeus. As well as seeing Modeus' character development. My only complaint is that I feel like this volume ended really abruptly and at a weird spot?
This graphic novel is adorable and I loved it so much. Suitor Armor is cozy, witty, funny and addictive. I literally couldn't put it down once I started reading. I cannot wait until I can buy a physical copy of this one!
It's a cozy cute story - quick & light read. Since it's just volume 1 (& a super abrupt ending at that), I feel like I was missing the real "meat" of the story, and might have rated higher otherwise. I do not follow the webtoon so I don't already know the full story. I also do not know the age of the author, but this had more of a juvenile feel than my usual reads...and not because it's webtoon based (I think some people automatically give webtoon/graphic novels a bad slant before they have read them & they shouldn't). Thanks to NetGalley & the publisher for the ARC.
4.5 Thank you NetGalley for the ARC of this work in exchange for an honest review.
Adorable and witty. Unlike most other graphic novels I’ve read; in terms of the webtoon art style and the cheeky personalities that shine through for the entirety each character is on page. Perfect length for the first part of a series.
My only qualm was the ending! It felt like an appropriate place for the story to conclude… but there was no neat conclusion?! It sort of just felt like the characters walked off the page to continue talking and left me there without a “to be continued”, “the end” or anything of the like. That being said, I absolutely ✨adored✨ every other aspect. Can’t wait to run and get a physical copy when it releases!
I loved this webtoon and I'm so excited to see it's getting published. The art is stunning and story is amazing. I can't wait for more!
WebToon always has such great comics! I really enjoyed this first installment of Suitor Armor. I think the premise is fun and the Armor Knight reminds me so much of Full Metal Alchemist! The art work is engaging and the panels are easy to follow. I'm excited to learn more about the Fairy Wars in future volumes!
This book has everything: cute romance, lessons about not judging people by how they look, fantasy and magic, beautiful art, and just overall, so many cute interactions between Lucia and Modeus. The white rose that he gave her after winning made my heart swoon. It was so cute. And then, when he was protecting her, he gently moved her hair to check the rose to make sure it was just the cherry on top because Modeus protects and he cares. And also his first word is her name! I love the cast of characters and the world. This was an amazing graphic novel and it was so cozy to read.
This was so cute.
The way Modeus will protect Lucia at all costs 🛐🛐
Peres origin story 🥹🥹.
Can't wait for volume 2
Loved this! I thought the story was amazing and I loved the characters! Can’t wait for the next one!
In a world where fae and humans are at war, one fae girl is taken in by a human family and forced to hide her identity... yet as she becomes the lady in waiting to the king's fiancee and falls for a mysterious magically enchanted armor... truths about her kind are unleashed and she begins to question who she truly is and where she belongs. This is the first book in a series and it is utterly adorable while also being heartwrenching. The story follows Lucia, a fae girl who was taken in by a human family when she was younger. All her life she has kept her identity a secret, forced to hide her wings and ears...yet it will become harder to hide when she is taken to court to help with the marriage of her Lady to the king. There Lucia meets Modeus, a magically animated suit of armour brought to life by Norrrix, the court mage.... who is much more sentient and alive than anyone could have thought. Lucia falls for Modeus but with people barely even accepting that Modeus might be anything more than a suit of armor, despite the fact that he talks, thinks, and acts....Lucia has her work cut out for her it also doesn't help that when she encounters a fairy she is exposed to some dark truths about the whole human kingdom and a desire to find out who and what she truly is is awakened. Lucia will have to find out her own powers and abilities, and who she can truly trust with her identity all the while facing betrayal, romance, and heartbreak. This is such a great story and the world really sucks you in. The romance was just charming and sweet and I can't wait to read more!
