A beautiful book, definitely one to read with a tissue in hand as it navigates a rollercoaster ride of emotions. The idea of a found family is wonderful. A really enjoyable read.

A nice story, but saccharine sweet, overly so. I think this was the worst of the three in the series for being schmaltzy. It got a bit much at times to be honest. And the author does like to make a drama where there is none. Isla pushing Reuben away. The female protagonists in the first two books are the same. It's reading as formulaic. That said, I was really touched by Aidan and his partner's story. With thanks to NetGalley for an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Lovely story

I enjoyed this addition to the Cornish Country Hospital series. While characters from the earlier books appear, the focus of this story is Isla, and her decision to donate eggs to Aidan, a fellow nurse, and his husband. Isla is doing this to honor her father, who due to illness followed a similar route to create his family. At least that’s the plan until Isla gets unexpected news, then decisions must be made by everyone.

I loved Isla’s selflessness and courage. Her “found family “, the people she works with and their families are a fantastic support system. This is a clean, sweet story and I recommend it.

Thanks to the author, publisher and NetGalley for the opportunity to read and review this book, but my opinions are my own.

"A Found Family at the Cornish Country Hospital" by Jo Bartlett is a heartwarming and uplifting read. Set in the Cornish countryside, the story follows the lives of the staff at a small hospital as they navigate personal and professional challenges. This feel-good novel is perfect for anyone looking for a comforting story about finding family in the most unexpected places.

Great to be back at St Pilans the Cornish country hospital and to catch up with all the characters.
Isla is stil reeling from the death of their beloved father and wants to do something to honour his memory. She’s got a precious gift she wants to share with the right people.
Aiden and Jase are wanting to have a baby but they need and egg donor and a surrogate when Isla says she wants to donate eggs to them they are so blessed.
Then Isla receives devastating news while undergoing tests.
Great reading into the journey of Isla and the boys and can’t wait for further instalments.

"A Found Family at the Cornish Country Hospital" by Jo Bartlett is a heartwarming addition to her series, blending tragedy with hope and love. Isla Marlowe's journey to honor her father's memory intertwines with Aidan and Jase's quest to start a family, offering a touching exploration of friendship and chosen family. Bartlett's storytelling shines in this emotional tale set against the backdrop of community and compassion. Perfect for fans of feel-good romance and heartfelt narratives.

If Jo Bartlett has ever written a bad book I have yet to come across it. This is another great story that is so much more than a romance (although there is a little of that here as well). Having an IVF story partly from the perspective of the egg donor was really interesting. And Isla's reasoning is really well thought-out and makes perfect sense. And I liked that there was a lot of discussion between Isla & Aidan and Aidan & Jase about the egg donation - it wasn't a spur-of-the-moment decision on anyone's part and when Isla's health takes a turn more discussions were had. I only wish that Aidan had been upfront and very clear on what he was thinking and that Isla had been able to approach him when she thought he was having second thoughts. One simple conversation could have prevented a lot of stress and upset on both their parts. It was so great to get to know more about Aidan - we've met him in the previous books as a supporting character and I enjoyed learning more about what was under the surface. It was good that Jase's family took him in the way they did (as they also did with Isla) as his family was pretty much of a letdown. I'm happy that Aidan was finally at a place where he could be upfront with his family, especially his father, but I'm not sure I totally bought how quickly everyone seemed to come around. And I'm still not sure I believed that his father would show that newly found support on an online forum - but I'm happy for Aidan because he deserved to have his family be a part of his life, so I can overlook that. The romance for Isla was also really sweet. I thought the pacing for her and Reuben's story was perfect. there's an obvious attraction right away, but their relationship really forms over time as part of the family group chats and dinners. I'm glad that she realized the mistake she was making in pushing him away. And, as always, I love how this author incorporates the characters from the previous books in a natural way so that we get to know what's going on with them without their part taking over the story.

I loved this book the next in the series from a Cornish Country Hospital.

This time the story centers around Isla. After loosing her dad to Huntington's disease and few years ago, she wants to honor his up coming 60th birthday with something special and close to her heart. She decides on gifting her eggs to her friends Aiden and Jase so that they can have a much wanted baby of their own.

This decision is providing harder than they all thought, due to a leukemia diagnosis, finding a surrogate and repairing the strained relationship with Aiden's father.

Love and support comes in many different ways and that friends are the family we choose, helps show the way.

I loved this story and can't wait to find out what happens in the next book!

A Found Family.
St Piran's Hospital Cornwall.
Isla a A&E Nurse dreams of becoming an egg donor in memory of her late father.
Aiden a A&E nurse along with his husband Jase are looking for a surrogate to complete their family and would have giving up, then Isla spoke "I'll be your donor" now to get things rolling and there's a long way to go for them all.
This book is touching and heart-warming right through, that will have you pulling into the next chapter, such a joy to read full of family and friendships

I hate the sad bit with Isla but I'm so glad she's going to be ok.
What a revelation some of the story was I only hope the research that went into this book wasn't to heart breaking

Family are the people you find not the people you are born into. Once again we are back in an and e with the familiar faces in Port Kara. Aidan and Jase want nothing more than a child of their own but will it happen?
Isla is coming to terms with a lot of things and wants to give something back.

Really enjoyed being back in Port Kara but buckle in for an emotional rollercoaster.

I absolutely loved being back at the Cornish hospital. This series is fabulous and I highly recommend if you loved the Cornish midwife series. This could be read as a standalone but I highly recommend starting at the beginning to experience this delightful series set in the beautiful St Pirans and with relatable characters and storylines.

This story introduced us to Isla story and we also got to follow Aidan and jase on their journey too. This instalment covered a lot of relatable and hard hitting issues in a very sensitive way and brought them out into the open. It was a heartbreaking and heartwarming roller coaster of a read.

I can’t wait to be back at the Cornish hospital for the next instalment.

Jo is quickly becoming one of my most read authors and I'm loving the third book in the gorgeous Cornish Country Hospital series. Isla, wow she's a girl who been through so much but has the biggest heart. Her story is so moving, battling against a horrible disease but still giving the most amazing gift. She's instantly likeable and I wanted to keep on turning the pages to read more about her. It was also great to Adrian, to get to read his story and I hope Jo gives us an update to wither or not they get those babies in their arms.

Jo manages to touch on subjects that are hard to read about or may have affected you personally. She does in such a way and to see MND mention when its been in the news in the UK so much is wonderful to see. She brings highlights to diseases or things we might not have heard about in a way that is touching, moving and respectable.

I hope there are more books in this wonderful series. Thank you Boldwood for letting me to continue to read this wonderful series in advance.

Another great visit to St Piran’s and the cast of characters there. A slightly different take as it focuses on a new character but it was every bit as enjoyable as the previous books. It can be read as a standalone over but is better read as part of the series. A nice. Wholesome read which once again visits some hard hitting issues.

The BRAND NEW Instalment of bestselling author Jo Bartlett's Cornish Country Hospital Series. Outstanding. I'll be sorry to not have it to read tonight, but couldn't put the book down! I was fully immersed in this from the start…

Another story in this series, this time focused on Isla, Jase and Aidan. A bit slow at times but overall I enjoyed this story as these three navigate health issues and surrogacy .

A fantastic read. You meet old and new characters.. Can read as a stand-alone . Following Aidan and Jase ‘s journey to becoming parents was moving and made you think. They were an ace couple. As for parents who can’t support their children sexuality makes me so cross. You also had Isla’s moving story. One of the patients story in the hospital was so sad No spoilers. It is one of those books you think about when you are not reading it . I loved it.
