I was so excited to listen to this audiobook. I read the ebook when it first came out and I loved the characters and the story. The narrators made the book come to life even more for me and I absolutely loved every second of it.
Parker and Logan bring us the start of the Appies. This is a clean, dual pov romance. It is kind of the start of 2 series (sweater weather series and Appies Hockey Romance series). I love fake relationship tropes and the fact that these two have a history make it even better. If you love a sweet hockey romance this story is for you.
Absolutely love this story! Perfect amount of tension and sweet moments! The narrators are fabulous. So much fun to read!
I read this book when it originally came out and was excited to also listen to the audio. The narrator’s were perfect and I loved listening to one of my favorite stories by Emma.
If you love sports romances… this is for you!!! This steamy CLOSED DOOR romance was the perfect listen for the summer!! I enjoyed the banter between the main characters and the a-ha moment of falling in love.
This book is the ultimate receipe for a book hangover. I listened to the audiobook, but I will first review on content. The main characters Logan and Parker just amazing. They are SO cute together. I immensely loved their romance. Logan is so misunderstood but also just so kind. What I loved about him is that he is real. He reacts real to his trauma. However, he isn't a jerk to people. He may be a grump, but he is genuinely kind to people. I loved his relationship with Felix. It was adorable. Felix is just the golden retriever and I cannot wait to read this book in the later series. However, Logan was just there for Parker and that was amazing. He is the best book boyfriend in a while. I also really enjoyed Parker. She is so kind. I love that she is patient towards Logan and doesn't take any crap from him. But is incredibly kind. Her relationship with her family is interesting but the way she reacts is so mature.
OMG the romance. is everything. it was the beautiful slow burn. I love that the first kiss doesn't happen until 86% of the book. That sizzle was so worth it. I loved those "almost" kisses and those "fake" kisses. I love that Parker even though she has never been kissed she is so real and embraces it. She isn't embrassed. I love the date scenes. Just this book is so good. I loved it.
The narrators are phenomenal. I loved how both brough each character to life. Jay Meyers was fantastic as Logan. You could see the depth in the voice and I can only imagine how exactly Logan did. Emily ask Parker was so good. I loved the dual narration it. It felt super unique.
This is such a great book and series. I previously read this book but really wanted to listen to the audiobook and I'm glad that I did. I had such a great time listening to Emily Ellet & Jay Myers. Their voices kept me entertained through the entire book. I absolutely loved Logan and Parker. The characters were so enjoyable together and on their own. This is a slow burn, fake romance that will have you falling in love. This is a perfect sweater weather read but it is enjoyable at anytime of the year. I had many laugh out loud moments and smiled through out this book. The characters. and story are well written. I highly recommend this book and this series!
Thank you NetGalley and Audio ARC provided by Victory Editing NetGalley Co-op for allowing me to listen to this ARC for my honest opinion.
Perfectly cute with sass hockey romance. Adored the characters and it was super quick and easy to read. Adding this author to my must read list!
Thank you NetGalley and Victory Editing NetGalley Co-op for sending this book for review consideration. All opinions are my own.
Logan has dreaded this day – his return to his hometown and the minor league team after an injury and a few bad news cycles. Sitting through introductions to the team coaches and front office staff, he is surprised to find out his new contract involves…. dancing?? Logan is also surprised to find his ex-best friend’s little sister sitting at the table and she’s all grown up. As the social media manager, she’s got the tough job of wrangling Logan’s media presence and capturing all those dance moves on video. Will their work rekindle an old crush neither has acknowledged, or will their years-long family feud do them in?
Emma St. Clair is back with another romcom series with Just Don’t Fall, the start of the new Sweater Weather series. Following a long list of sports-based romance novels release recently, St. Clair’s works bring her signature humor and chemistry while “keeping the bedroom door closed” as her website describes. This is a book about reigniting old crushes and learning to move beyond past hurts. With great dialogue between the teammates without slipping into the “bro code world”, this book merges passion and sports in a beautiful way.
I give Just Don’t Fall 5 out of 5 stars. I loved the behind-the-scenes look at the sports world and how the players are managed. I also enjoyed the easy banter between the various characters and the family drama throughout. I would not be surprised to find this story on the screen in the near future, but it is not your typical Hallmark movie. I do wish there was a little more unpredictability in the development of the romance, but this was such a cute story that had me laughing the entire time!
If you enjoyed Fan Girl Down or Same Time Next Year by Tessa Bailey, you are going to love this one! With romance and illusions to more, this book would be best directed to more mature readers over 16. This was a quick read for me and would be perfect for a weekend getaway read, or a girlfriend read along choice!
I was excited to see this available through NetGalley this month! Many of Emma St. Clair’s books are notorious among my literary groups and I was interested in reading my first choice from her works – I weas not disappointed! Just Don’t Fall released in December 2023 and is the start of both the Sweater Weather and Appies series, with more books already released in both groups since. If you’re looking for a good series to binge – this would be my first recommendation!
Parker and Logan’ have known each other forever. When Logan is reassigned to the Appies, they naturally gravitate towards each other. What starts out as a fake romance doe Parker’s dad’s birthday gala morphs into rekindling their love.
I loved this storyline and the clean romance.
Parker and Logan were perfect and sweet! This was such an amazing closed door romance. I really enjoy sports romance so I am so happy I had the chance to listen to this one! The perfect break from spicy sports romances or for a reader who enjoys lighter, closed door romance!
This book was cute, a classic Emma st. Clair, clean cutesy hockey romance. I enjoyed it, it was a fun light fluffy read but I do feel like I have read this story before. Regardless i gave it 2.75 stars rounded up! If you're looking for a cute, clean hockey romance, pick this one up.
Thanks to netgalley, the author and publisher for an E-ARC of this book in exchange for my honest opinions.

Overall: 4
Narration: 4
Spice: 1
Excellent for fans of sports romances without the spice.
As a huge fan of sports romances, even those with some intense spicy scenes, I was initially a bit skeptical of this book. It quickly proved me wrong as the writing and story pulled me right in. It was fun and funny and thoughtful. Perfect for when you want a romance, but need a break from the spicy parts. I’ll definitely be seeking out more books by Emma St. Clair.
I couldn’t resist a hockey romance and I’m glad I was able to listen to this one. I love a good closed door romance and this did not disappoint. Parker and Logan were so refreshing and so sweet. It was a quick listen and worth the listen for sure. Thank you Net Galley and Victory Editing Net Galley Co-op fir the advanced copy of the audiobook
This audiobook was soooooo good!
I didn’t want to pause it and ended up listening to it through the day! It made me feel so many different emotions, and the narrators were so good it felt like I was with a bunch of friends.
Such a great story! So light, so easy to read and to fall in love with.
I listened to the audiobook for this one and I am glad I did. I really enjoyed how the FMC’s narrator portrayed Parkers personality. I loved her internal monologue when it came to Logan. She was really good at acting like her crush didn’t affect her on the outside while freaking out internally. Their banter was cute, the way Logan started doing little things for her and their nicknames for one another. For them both having feelings towards one another I think it took a little too long for them to finally express those feelings but I thought it was done in a sweet way. I love the hockey team and how they are like a family. The way they protect Parker and just their banter with one another had me smiling just as much as the romance did. I have already read the fourth book in this series, but I can’t wait to read the next two.
Thank you @victoryeditingngc and @netgalley for the gifted audio.
This is my first book by this author and it’s not my last! I am a huge romance fan but I love a book that pulls you in with the characters and the plot. This book is what some would call clean and I am not mad about that because I loved our hero and heroine and how they found their way back to each other.
This book was full of hilarious moments and Chapter 9 had me doing extra minutes on the treadmill because I needed to focus and didn’t want to stop the audio! so much angst and build up, I LOVED IT ALL!
I have to say that the narrators did a fantastic job bringing the characters to life. I always worry when a female has to imitate a male and vice versa but the narrators did fabulous and I didn’t find anything cringy or irritating.
A definite must read for anyone who wants a light and hilarious hockey romance!

Just Don't Fall - @kikimojo
Thank you to @netgalley for allowing me to receive a copy of this audio book.
This has been on my list to read for a good while now and I'm annoyed it's taken me so long to get round to. However, in my defence there are so many good books going around.
The narrators really brought this book to life and I could picture the characters so vividly.
I love the tropes of brother's best friend and fake dating, but we get so much in this book and it was so sweet and romantic.
The big broody hockey player, Logan has returned to town after recovering from an injury and has joined the Appies hockey team in the AHL. But what he doesn't expect to happen is to see Parker working there.
Parker has always had a crush on Logan but when he suddenly left so abruptly and without warning she was completely ghosted but seeing him again has confirmed the crush hasn't gone away. If anything it's came back with a vengeance.
It was so fun watching these characters get to know each other again especially as they were vulnerable and could really be themselves with each other. It was so romantic and I loved every part of this book. Logan made me swoon but Parker had my respect. She stuck to her boundaries and wouldn't change her stance and I loved that about her. This is a great book whether listened to or read. I'm excited there's also more books in the series. More hockey book boyfriends ❤️
⭐️⭐️⭐️.5/5
Very sweet and cute hockey romance!!
This was my first book from this author, but I will definitely go back for more.
This is a clean cute romance, so there is no spice, but even though I love a spicy hockey story, Logan was so hot and sweet I really didn´t feel the need for it.
The book is splendidly narrated, and both the voice actors did an amazing job voicing Parker and Logan.
I loved Parker´s internal monologues had me smiling more than once, because me too girl, me too!
I didn´t give the book 4 stars just because it had some deeper themes that were never really solved properly, and I feel I would have made even a stronger connection with the characters if they had been.
Overall I will definitely suggest it to my friends if they are in the mood for something cute and wholesome!
This slow burn winter warmer of a book is a nice read. It did not connect with me but I can see more of a YA vibe.
Have you ever read a book that makes your smile grow larger and larger and, at the conclusion, if someone were to walk by and see you, they’d wonder what was making you SO happy? That was *this* book for me, and it was made even better by listening to it, as the narrators did an outstanding job portraying Logan, a hockey player and Parker, the social media specialist for the Appies hockey team. This closed-door romance was everything, not lacking in anything…fake dating, chemistry and a ton of banter as the two main characters-once childhood friends, reconnect. I absolutely adore the Appies, and all the people involved with this team. Plus, I was introduced to the word “smurg” and I will never forget this word when I see the expression used so often.
