I listened to the audiobook for this one and I am glad I did. I really enjoyed how the FMC’s narrator portrayed Parkers personality. I loved her internal monologue when it came to Logan. She was really good at acting like her crush didn’t affect her on the outside while freaking out internally. Their banter was cute, the way Logan started doing little things for her and their nicknames for one another. For them both having feelings towards one another I think it took a little too long for them to finally express those feelings but I thought it was done in a sweet way. I love the hockey team and how they are like a family. The way they protect Parker and just their banter with one another had me smiling just as much as the romance did. I have already read the fourth book in this series, but I can’t wait to read the next two.
Thank you @victoryeditingngc and @netgalley for the gifted audio.

This is my first book by this author and it’s not my last! I am a huge romance fan but I love a book that pulls you in with the characters and the plot. This book is what some would call clean and I am not mad about that because I loved our hero and heroine and how they found their way back to each other.
This book was full of hilarious moments and Chapter 9 had me doing extra minutes on the treadmill because I needed to focus and didn’t want to stop the audio! so much angst and build up, I LOVED IT ALL!
I have to say that the narrators did a fantastic job bringing the characters to life. I always worry when a female has to imitate a male and vice versa but the narrators did fabulous and I didn’t find anything cringy or irritating.
A definite must read for anyone who wants a light and hilarious hockey romance!

Just Don't Fall - @kikimojo
Thank you to @netgalley for allowing me to receive a copy of this audio book.
This has been on my list to read for a good while now and I'm annoyed it's taken me so long to get round to. However, in my defence there are so many good books going around.
The narrators really brought this book to life and I could picture the characters so vividly.
I love the tropes of brother's best friend and fake dating, but we get so much in this book and it was so sweet and romantic.
The big broody hockey player, Logan has returned to town after recovering from an injury and has joined the Appies hockey team in the AHL. But what he doesn't expect to happen is to see Parker working there.
Parker has always had a crush on Logan but when he suddenly left so abruptly and without warning she was completely ghosted but seeing him again has confirmed the crush hasn't gone away. If anything it's came back with a vengeance.
It was so fun watching these characters get to know each other again especially as they were vulnerable and could really be themselves with each other. It was so romantic and I loved every part of this book. Logan made me swoon but Parker had my respect. She stuck to her boundaries and wouldn't change her stance and I loved that about her. This is a great book whether listened to or read. I'm excited there's also more books in the series. More hockey book boyfriends ❤️

⭐️⭐️⭐️.5/5
Very sweet and cute hockey romance!!
This was my first book from this author, but I will definitely go back for more.
This is a clean cute romance, so there is no spice, but even though I love a spicy hockey story, Logan was so hot and sweet I really didn´t feel the need for it.
The book is splendidly narrated, and both the voice actors did an amazing job voicing Parker and Logan.
I loved Parker´s internal monologues had me smiling more than once, because me too girl, me too!
I didn´t give the book 4 stars just because it had some deeper themes that were never really solved properly, and I feel I would have made even a stronger connection with the characters if they had been.
Overall I will definitely suggest it to my friends if they are in the mood for something cute and wholesome!

This slow burn winter warmer of a book is a nice read. It did not connect with me but I can see more of a YA vibe.

Have you ever read a book that makes your smile grow larger and larger and, at the conclusion, if someone were to walk by and see you, they’d wonder what was making you SO happy? That was *this* book for me, and it was made even better by listening to it, as the narrators did an outstanding job portraying Logan, a hockey player and Parker, the social media specialist for the Appies hockey team. This closed-door romance was everything, not lacking in anything…fake dating, chemistry and a ton of banter as the two main characters-once childhood friends, reconnect. I absolutely adore the Appies, and all the people involved with this team. Plus, I was introduced to the word “smurg” and I will never forget this word when I see the expression used so often.

I already read this book last fall when it first came out but I loved it so much I already wanted to read it again. But audiobooks are a plus especially during the summer when I don't have as much free time to sit down and read.
This is a hockey romance at it's best. The narration was great and I enjoyed every minute of this book. I love this series and am excited to read even more about the Applies hockey team and Harvest Hallow.
This has Gilmore girls meets never been kissed vibes. Definitely give it a listen!

Just perfection. The voices were spot on to what I envisioned for the characters. That doesn’t even begin to describe the plot. LoVeD it. Grumpy sunshine is one of my ultimate faves! Emma St. Clair really nailed it on this book.

Logan did NOT break Parker’s heart when they were teens — there was a 5 (?) year age gap between them as teenagers which is gross which is why he never liked her. He “ghosted” a minor. To make this seem like a second chance romance from the cover is weird. It was a one sided crush that apparently she still hasnt gotten over in 10 years? And she’s never kissed anyone? I’m scared for Logan!
‘
The book praises Parker for waiting until she’s 25 to kiss, which is whatever, but then they contrast her to women who wear certain clothes and makes statements like “while other girls were” intimate sooner than Parker decided to kiss. She gives self-aware “pick me”. Sooo quirky! BUT THEN they praise Logan for “never dating anyone” yet it’s alluded that he has casual sex. Double standards are icky.
Every cliche in the book. “I like her better with sweatpants and a dingy tee” type.
A low spice romance means that they don’t kiss until the end apparently!
I have yet to read an adult book that promises low spice that doesn’t feel like a book made for teens. I promise you we can have romance without spice that doesn’t feel juvenile. AND I PROMISE YOU we can have a brothers-best-friend trope without referring to “she felt like a sister to me!”
The characters were well written and had depth to them. That’s the only reason I finished the book.
Anyway, he audio quality were great and i loved the voice actors voices and execution of the characters. I don’t think I could have gotten through this book in paper format.
Thanks for this NetGalley and Victory Editing Co-op for this audiobook in exchange for an honest review.

I listened to this as an audiobook and I loved the narrators! As always I love this series, if you’re looking for sweet, closed door romance, brother’s best friend, hockey romance…then this is the book for you! Seriously I always get through these books so fast!

This audiobook was SO cute. This is one of my favorite tropes- I can't seem to get enough of brother's best friend. I love when a grand gesture includes everyone in her life.

Fun clean romance book! If your looking for lots of spice this isn't for you but if you enjoy clean good hearted love story you wont regret reading.

3.5 stars. I think my expectations were a little off for this book. It's the first in the Sweater Weather series and I expected a very fall themed book. Thats not what this is. However, it is a really cute brother's best friend, hockey romance between Parker and Logan. Logan was Parker's brother's best friend growing up and despite a 4 year age difference, Parker had an intense crush because Logan showed her a lot of kindness. Now many years later, she is the social media manager for a minor league hockey team. He is a hockey player that played for the NHL but got sent down after he was in a fight. He's really grumpy and reserved, but when the 2 have to fake date, he starts to soften toward her. Of course the fake romance becomes real. It's sweet and fun but there are minimal fall vibes to be seen.

I loved this book! The whole series is amazing but this book is perfect for anyone who wants a clean sports romance with amazing banter and so many cute moments!

I listened to this in ONE night. Yes, I stayed up until 3:00 am listening. Yes, it was worth it.
I have never in my life thought I would read such a hot no kissing scene! WOAHAHHHHH hot isn't even the word. There wasn't any spice like I'm used to but the steam was a 5/5. The whole fake dating your brothers ex-best friend pulled me in from the very start.
I absolutely loved both Parker and Logan. I loved the growth in both of them both separately and together. They were meant to be without a doubt.
The narrators did a really good job. They brought out the raw emotion in every single character.
Posted to Goodreads and Amazon.

I adored this story! I've read a few books by this author before, but not a lot. Since this was a hockey book, I didn't hesitate, I love a good sports romance. I had a smile on my face thru practically the whole book. It was so cute and sweet and honestly I almost didn't notice that it was clean. There was plenty of chemistry, and I swear, the buildup to the first kiss was so memorable and so different than other books. I enjoyed this one a lot, so cute and fun and a perfect light, happy read. The narrators both did a great job, I loved the female. She was so good woth showing emotions, and actually laughed, and she has the cutest giggle. I would listen to both of them anytime.

This was a great start to this series! It was a fun brothers best friend love story. The Appies hockey was a great backdrop and fun getting to know the players.

Thankyou Netgalley and victory editing for an ARC audio copy of this book for an honest review.
10 years ago Parker's heart was broken when Logan Barnes unexplainably left her and her brothers life's. Now as an infamous NHL player with a bad boy reputation, he is getting over an injury, playing in the minor leagues. The Team that parker is now the social media manager of. They immediately recognise each other and rekindle their friendship.
Then they make a deal. Logan will pretend to be Parkers fake boyfriend at her fathers birthday gala, if Parker agrees to give him less social media exposure.
But how fake is this relationship? To Parker, who Logan likes to call Pete (*cute*), the relationship feels real, her feelings are definitely real but are the signals he's sending real?
This is a lovely cushy contemporary sports romance. Has all the steam! All the feelings! But with none of the smut. This would be perfect for teenagers, young adult or anyone not keen on smut. I am, unfortunately, a smut girl.
The characters are likable, relatable and funny. Logan turns from brooding bad boy to loveable cocker spaniel. Parker is fiery yet innocent girl next door.
I wish I had read the physical copy. I listened to this on audio book. The accents of the narrators Emily Ellot and Jay Myers kind of put me off.
I do struggle listening to audio books in different accents as it is but I am attempting to overcome this.
My biggest struggle was with the opposite sex voices in each POV. Jay Myers who read the part of Logan doing his pretentious girly voice very nearly put me off but I decided to power through because I was enjoying the story.
Overall I enjoyed the story. The characters are likeable. FMC is relatable, fiery and witty. The MMC hot and steamy with just enough drool factor. It was an easy listen whilst in a reading slump.

Parker is the Social Media Manager for an AHL team called the Appies and doesn't that sound like the coolest job ever?! Parker loves her job, obviously, rallying the team to make viral videos and do all the silly dancing trends. The wrench in this all is that her childhood crush/brother's ex best friend is getting sent to the team from the NHL after an incident with a fan. She can handle it though, right?
Logan Barnes is headed to the AHL after an injury and an incident with a fan got him into trouble in the NHL. Not only is he being sent to the AHL he is going to have to confront the woman he ghosted years ago.
I enjoyed reading Logan and Parkers story. Hockey, second chances, silly tiktok trends...this book is great! Highly recommend it. If you like a good hockey romance then you'll enjoy this one! This is a clean romance. Do not come here looking for spice and then complain when there isn't any.
