Thank you Dreamscape Media and Netgalley for the advanced reader copy. I really enjoyed this audiobook that had dual POV narrators from Sarah Adam's. I loved Evie and her personal growth throughout this novel, her relationship with her service dog & her journey to find true love. I definitely recommend adding this to your TBR list

another adorable romance by sarah adams. i will say i freaking loved evie. she was an amazing MC, her personality was real and authentic, and she knows what she wants for her future (and itโs not being with her extremely wealthy family). jake was great too but i want to be SWOONING over the male MC and he just seemed a little immature for me. with their age gap and all heโs been through with his ex i was hoping for him to be a little more mature. i will say i also loved the disability rep in this one with the epilepsy rep between both sam & evie having it. the ability for their service dogs to sense their seizures before they even started was truly amazing. overall a really good one, but not my absolute favorite from sarah adams!

Thank you to the publisher and netgalley for the Audiobook โThe Matchโ by Sarah Adams in exchange for my honest review.
Evie Jones meets Jacob Broaden and his daughter, Sam after she requests a meeting via email acting as her father. Evie works for a company that places service dogs with those in need. Sam and Evie both suffer from epilepsy. Through the placement process, Evie and Jacob find their love match.
I enjoyed listening to this audiobook. I found it to be entertaining, heartwarming, and overall wholesome romance. I recommend you read The Matchโฆyou wonโt be disappointed!!! Iโm off to start reading the second book in the series โThe Enemyโ.

I love Sarah Adams! This one was cute, but the plot felt lacking. It wasn't my favorite of hers, however, I will read pretty much anything she puts out!

4.5 โญ๏ธI enjoyed this book so much! Much more than I expected to.
The opinions expressed are honest and my own but I am thankful to NetGalley and the publisher for the audio ARC of this title.
This is a release โexpanded editionโ of the authors work that was originally published in May of 2020. I have never read this author before but I intend to pick up her other books after reading this as Iโve read that her writing has gotten even better in recent works.
The duel narrators did a great job handling the story and their voices fit the character descriptions which is always a plus.
What I enjoyed the most is that the story seemed very natural for the most part. Itโs clear the author has her pulse on human nature and how to express it in her prose.
I liked how she handled disability of both the MFC and MMCs daughter as it connected them all while not being the only thing about the characters of note.
It definitely had a bit of โhallmarkโ feeling to it but not completely. Like a really well written hallmark movie.
Lastly, the pop culture references were just right. They didnโt seem gratuitous or cheesy.
My rating system since GoodReads doesnโt have partial stars and I rarely round up.
โญ๏ธ Hated it
โญ๏ธโญ๏ธ Had a lot of trouble, prose issues, really not my cup of tea (potentially DNFโd or thought about it)
โญ๏ธโญ๏ธโญ๏ธ Meh, it was an ok read but nothing special
โญ๏ธโญ๏ธโญ๏ธโญ๏ธ Really enjoyed it! Would recommend to others
โญ๏ธโญ๏ธโญ๏ธโญ๏ธโญ๏ธ Outstanding! Will circle back and read again

I adore Sarah Adams, and I was so excited to get an audiobook ARC of the updated version of The Match!! Iโm so excited for Sarah and that she gets to rerelease her OG contemporary romance booksโ The Off-Limits Rule was my first SA book!!
As someone who works with kiddos with disabilities (and sees several kids with epilepsy), I absolutely adored reading about Evie and Sam and their service dogs (is Charlie my new favorite character of Sarahโs??). The challenges they go through, their fears, their incredible resilience is just ๐ฅน๐ฅน This book was so sweet, while also bringing up some extremely important topics and representation.
I loved the dual POV narrators of the audiobookโ Iโm a 2.5 speed girly, and thought the voices were perfect for the characters (that can make or break a rom com!!!)
there โจisโจ a third act breakup / miscommunication, but totally worth itโ I was kicking me feet and squealing out loud the whole book!!
make sure to pick up The Match July 2nd, especially if you love
โจ single dads
โจ dogs (specifically golden retrievers)
โจ strong independent women who stand up to their families!!!!!
โจ sweet, adorable rom coms that start off with the main characters insulting each other ๐ฅฐ๐ฅฐ
thank you to netgalley and Dreamscape_Media for the audio arc!!!

This was a wholesome book that had a really cute plot. I loved that it centered around service dogs and a little girl/adult woman with epilepsy, Overall, the conflict was so so - but it would've been hard for the author to place a major conflict in when dealing with these topics. Cute, low steam.

5โญ๏ธ!!!! the fresh coat of paint on this already huge fan fave of mine was the perfect, cozy book to escape in! this story is the so completely adorable, lovley, hilarious, and pupalicious ๐๐
This is a cute little story, I loved all the characters and Evie and Jakeโs love story. Evie is so good with Sam, being able to relate to her epilepsy, but also knowing how to connect with her emotionally. Of course, the dogs in the story make it amazing, book pets are the best characters. Evieโs parents are not good people, are incredibly toxic, and their toxicity isnโt really resolved even if it is addressed.
the narration was perfect! I loved the original audiobook & was hesitant to new narrators but THEY WERE AMAZING!!! the same southern-softieness was there with a fresh voice on the characters & story!
Overall an already huge fave of mine became even more of a fave in this newly revised and rereleased version of Sarah Adams first romcom! it definitely left me feeling warm and cozy ๐

This book has been on my tbr for a few years so when I saw the audiobook on Netgalley, I was quick to snap it up. Like all of Sarah Adams' books, I devoured this one and found myself loving it. The characters were likeable, the doggies were adorable companions and Jacob's daughter Sam is the sweetest meddler. If you are looking for a great romcoms, Sarah Adams and this book are one you must try.

This was another homerun from Sarah Adams. I absolutely devoured this audiobook and I am thrilled that it's book one of two! Evie won me over right out of the gate with her huge heart, southern charm and a bit of sass. I can never resist a good canine character and Charlie was truly incredible. I adored Jacob and Sam as well. There was so much to love about this book in addition to the characters - - epilepsy representation and learning more about service dogs, the non-profit that Evie devoted her life to, the Charleston setting and more. I got such a kick out of Evie and Jacob's banter and the narrators were perfect for both characters including Evie's occasional southern drawl. ALL THE FEELS!

I loved this audiobook and the narrators did a fantastic job. I loved the dual perspectives and hearing what Evie and Jacob were thinking was hilarious. I liked that this was a clean romance, found family and how it portrayed Evie. Evie had epilepsy but she showed how a service dog could help her live a normal life and not be afraid. Evie had such a big heart and it hurt to see how she was treated by her parents.
The witty banter between Jacob and Evie was funny and I liked how they talked about everything freely. They started as friends and turned into family. I like how they both nurtured Sam and helped her.
This is a very fun romance book sure to delight you.

This is one of those plots that I typically would think felt too forced, but I should know to never doubt Sarah Adams. Girly writes the sweetest, sincere romances.
I ended up really loving this plot. Evie's passion is working and training service dogs. She herself suffers from epilepsy and has a sweet little companion by her side to keep her safe. When Jake's daughter sneakers into his email account to set up a meeting to get a service dog her own--she is also epileptic-- our plot starts to unfold. As I previously stated a plot like this can often feel forced, with plot devices that don't feel organic
Jake eventually comes around and gets on board with a service dog for his daughter and and that is when Evie enters their lives. It is cute, it is sweet, I loved it!

This was so cute! I loved the story and the narration was great also. Dual narrators in this book really made a difference and they both did a great job!

I adore Sarah Adams and being an introverted softie, her books have deeply resonated with and made me feel so seen, so I couldnโt wait to dive into her backlist titles as I (not so patiently) wait for her next upcoming release. I went into this book with such high hopes but sadly, it did not work for me.
The story was full of the charm and heart that Sarah infuses into her stories and I love how she always fills her entire cast with vibrant, endearing, and memorable characters.
Unfortunately, the banter between Evie and Jacob felt forced to me and their โflirtyโ jokes made me cringe - one of them suggested if they needed to send nudes as a thank you for dinner. It also made me extremely uncomfortable that Evie tried to get to know Jacob by snooping in his house - bedroom, closet, under his bed, and bathroom cabinets - because he was more reserved and she just โneeded to stumble across the secret of who he is.โ At one point Jacob said he was glad Evie snooped so she could get to know himโฆ I really needed these two to talk!
While I didnโt connect with the story, I thought the narratorsโ performances were well done
I love seeing Sarahโs growth and progression as a writer and while this story didnโt work for me, Iโm looking forward to reading what she writes next!

Sarah Adams is always my go-to for a feel-good read, and I had already read this book a couple years ago. The narrators for this book were great, better than many I've listened to for rom coms in the past.
