I once read that this book was a true mystery in the vein of The Westing Game. That comparison is made quite often, but this book delivers. Milo's story is compelling for readers, and his entrance into the role playing game is interesting. The travelers tales give a nice story within a story feel, and the whole book shines with promise and mystery. Long but worth it.

I definitely judged this book by its cover and was not expecting to like it as much as I did. But, I loved the characters and the setting and really liked the surprise ending. A great book to read during the Christmas holiday!
