This book is snarky and clever and perfect for people who love all things Mothman! I love that it's got a bit of sass, but is still a good story for kids.

This makes me so excited for fall! This book was SO fun! Absolutely loved it. It was such a great book. My kids and I really enjoyed it.

Even though this book is for children, I enjoyed reading it! I LOVE cryptids, and found the illustrations of them adorable. I think children will also find the cryptids, like the Mothman, fascinating. This book also did not go where I expected it to. I think it would be very amusing for a child to read.

What a great Halloween read for children and parents alike!

Mothman deserves no less than 5 stars! This was a quick, cute read with awesome illustrations!

A while back I read the delightfully enticing MOTHMAN'S MERRY CRYPTID CHRISTMAS, so I was thrilled to discover MOTHMAN'S HAPPY CRYPTID HALLOWEEN! This precious picture-and-text for young children (and the young at heart, such as myself) brings us three important lessons:
1. No matter who you are or how you appear (even cryptids can be good folks), it's character and the drive to build up others that counts;
2. Even when circumstances don't cooperate [Mother Nature inexplicably provides a rain-soaked Halloween], we can still puzzle out ways to work around the problem and provide joy;
3. The town's children prove that joy and fun can be made out of what at first might seem to be a disaster: just shake the kaleidoscope and see a different, new, perspective.

Our infant and toddler library story time is filled with children who enjoy stories with bright colors and dramatic (but not necessarily unexpected) twists, and caregivers who enjoy cryptids so this book is sure to engage the entire crowd! The character of Mothman strikes the perfect balance as a humorously inept but well meaning member of the community, and the use of pumpkin slime in the story makes this a fantastic book for a story time featuring pumpkin "guts" or similar sensory treats. This is a laugh-out-loud or put-a-smile-on-your-face guaranteed read.
The character of Mothman is brilliant.
The art style features extremely saturated and Halloween colour-scale illustrations.
The humour is great - it is silly and for some reason appeals to both adults and children.
I wish the plot were thicker, the story were longer however, the situations represented are hilarious and there is even a lesson of understanding, fun, forgiveness and good intentions.
All characters are lovely and hilarious.
