This book was requested when I was young and requested more books than I could possibly read. Sadly, I no longer have access to this book and my tastes have changed. Thus I will not be able to give feedback on this title.

I absolutely loved it. I’m so happy it wasn’t about the difficulties of being gay. It was a nice change. The characters were great and very lovable.

This wasn't my favorite. In terms of young adult romance what really puts me off is when you have one half the romance bringing the other down. I think Alek is the character that everyone loves to love and Ethan is the opposite other half. These characters can definitely co-exist but in this case I felt like Ethan was more hindering than helping Alek find himself. I felt like Ethan was making some pretty negative generalizations about the gay community (such as it's ok to cheat?) and how he continuously uses the f word which I find to be one of those inappropriate labels whether you identify in that community or not. Another thing that bothered me is that he's only 14, and he goes from zero (I'm not sure how I feel about guys) to 100 (making out and taking off clothes). This felt like it was too rushed. The Armenian's hating Americans was really thrown in your face, not that it doesn't happen but it seemed pretty over the top. Lastly I was not a fan of the ending. I just feel like this could've been so much better.

I'm sorry it has taken so long to review this title. I absolutely loved it and appreciate being able to have the opportunity to read it. This book was very thought provoking and I can only imagine what more happened to the characters. Thank you.
