Book 205 of 300 ~ 2024
🌟🌟🌟💫
I get the need for repetitiveness, but I feel that if I were a parent, I would use some other book and repeated keywords on my own.
Great illustrations though.
I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

My children and I read this book. It's about a kitty and a boy.
This was fun to read. It had easy words that my children could read without trouble. My children like the kitty in the story. This story had action and adventure throughout. There was a bit of laughter throughout. The illustrations were colorful.
I received a complimentary copy via Netgalley. This is my honest, unbiased opinion.
Normally picture books with forwards annoy me. It’s normally the author telling you what this book is going to do for your child and then they fail to meet the expectation. This book says these are simple things to do to help your child speak. These points are accurate to modern teachings, easy to understand, and easy for parents to replicate. The story is simple but allows room for the parents to ad-lib as their child speaks more.
This children's book is a really fun and cute one. An easy flow to the story and put a smile on my face.
Definitely giving this book a 5* rating. My 2 1/2 year old Granddaughter loved reading this book with me and as it has Cats in the story (her favourite animal), this was perfect for her. The tips in the beginning were a great help and I will make sure to go by these when reading other books with her to keep her engaged.
Loved the illustrations and am hjappy to say she didn't flick each page but was quite happy to read with me.
Thank you to Netgalley and Holly Rosensweig for the opportunity to read and review this book.
Toddler approved! Let's Go, Kitty is a fun and silly book for pre-verbal children that encourages speech and language development. It was fun reading this book with my little one who though all the sounds were hilarious, and tried them out too! The parent tips at the start of the book are very helpful reminders on the speech journey. This book has vibrant and colourful illustrations and includes some funny scenarios for the cat in the book.
This is such a lovely little book for young readers. Learning to read is a tough task but this book is both engaging and simple enough for children to follow along and participate with enthusiasm. A definite must have in any personal or classroom library.
Very cute art style but honestly nothing else stood out with this one. It’s a book for very young kids but there isn’t much to it, it comes out to about ten pages. I think more could’ve been added about the kitty and child’s day to make it a little more substantial I’ve but overall not a bad book for babies just learning to read and talk.
*I received an advanced copy from the publisher via NetGalley and this has in no way affected my review*
Thank you to this e-copy of Let’s Go Kitty by Holly Rosenweig in exchange for a honest review. This book is perfect for emergent readers .Written by a speech teacher the text is written with easy to decode words and in such way as to help the early reader sound out the words ..Great for the kindergarten and first grade reader.
Let's Go, Kitty is a lovely little children's book.
The book has some adorable illustrations and it is a great book for the age range and I can see this being a fond favourite with parents for them to read to young children when they are learning to read.
The book has some great tips too at the end for parents.
It is 5 stars from me for this one - very highly recommended!
ADORABLE! My little girl loves anything that is cats or kittens and this cute book is perfect. With illustrations that use colors that create a calm feeling we follow Kitty through the day.The author uses simple text that my child loves to repeat and read along with the story. Your child will love this book for its fun, playful story. Parents love it for the introduction to early speech sounds and more. I really loved this book. It is a family favorite. Your family will love it too.
'Let's Go, Kitty!' does a fantastic job at engaging children, encouraging them to participate with learning new words with the help of soft, colorful illustrations. The kitty sure is doing fun things that are definitely going to have kids wanting to keep this in their daily reading rotation.
Such a sweet story, my little girl loved reading and seeing the kitty on each page. Definitely one we will be recommending and reading again
This was toddler approved. The story was very simple, and geared towards babies and toddlers learning to talk. It was also great for a 2.5 year old, who is already a great speaker, but used the illustrations to “read” it to me too! Definitely would recommend this one for littles who are learning to talk
This book is highly indicated for babies! Not only it has amazing drawings that will hold the child’s attention, but it also encourages the children to learn the sounds and the words that describe those same sounds.
I recommend this to every parent or person that has a baby in their lives! It will be a good way to spend time with them, while also encouraging to learn new things and develop their brains.
I will for sure be reading this with my baby goddaughter! I know for a fact that she will love this as much as I did.
I believe this is a fantastic book to read with babies as it encourages early language development. The simplicity of reenacting the images through gestures and actions makes it highly engaging for both parents and children. The illustrations are absolutely adorable, and the vibrant colors are sure to captivate and stimulate a baby's senses. Overall, it's an excellent choice for fostering a love of reading from an early age
A cute story to help with speech development and growth 🤗
The plot itself to this story wasn't revolutionary (nor should it need to be at this age), but it was certainly fun! I really think the repetitive nature of the words is such a smart way to help young children's reading comprehension. I know this was meant for younger kids/babies, but I could really see this helping my 9 year old nephew. My nephew is on the autism spectrum, and we have found repetition to be key it trying to get him to form and understand the meaning of words. He loves when words repeat, so I could see this being an excellent book to read with him.
The illustrations by Emily Rutherford were so soft, warm, colorful, and inviting. I could see it capturing kids attention very easily.
This was a sweet story, and I love that it was written with the intent to help kids learn to read and sound out words. The helpful tips and tricks graphic in the beginning of the book for caregivers was such a nice touch. Such a key thing for development and growth!
Thank you Net Galley for the ARC of this cute little story! 😺
This book was super short and totally NOT what I expected, but I do think it's cute and would be good for 2-3yo toddlers because of their low attention span. Including the onomatopoeia and actions is something I've never seen before.
There's not really a story in this book, so I wouldn't recommend it for autistic kids you want to read a story to. It's less story, more sounds? Probably *not* the best book for an autistic toddler who does echolalia, either, BUT might be good anyway in the event of gestalt learning.
This is a short but sweet little book for pre-verbal children. I think it would be great to read to an infant or young toddler. The tips about how to encourage speech were great. Cute, simple, bright illustrations.
I love the tips at the start of the book! The pictures are so pretty too, I love colourful imagery!
I really like the use of repetition and threes in this book, while I know nothing about first words, I feel like this could be so helpful! I guess it's hard to tell how to rate a book like this unless you have some experience on if it actually works or not.
