As the eldest daughter, I feel very SEEN in this book. Family Manager is not a title I take lightly and I really related to Halle as it can sometimes feel like the weight of the world on your shoulders while you help everyone but yourself. I am soooo glad I loved Halle so much because Henry is one of my favorite Maple Hills characters. Their love story was very sweet and much more slow burn than the other two books in this series. I really enjoyed this one and applaud Hannah Grace for giving Henry the story he deserved!

Halle Jacobs - Recent break-up, perfectionist, scholar, social outcast, loves a library, leads a book club, works at a popular tourist hotel.
Henry Turner - Athlete, down to earth, popular, smart, charming, single, and devilishly good looking.
{Insert Meet Cute Now} Henry accompanies his friend’s girlfriend to the bookstore. He’s looking to buy a book on leadership. She’s looking to buy the newest romcom. He’s hoping to improve his leadership skills as he steps into the position of Captain for his hockey team. She takes a long time to browse. He picks his book almost instantly and finds a place to sit down. Henry expects his friend to approach but instead it’s a girl named Halle. Halle introduces herself and asked Henry to do the same. Halle assumes that Henry is there to attend her book club discussion. Henry feels slightly embarrassed for not realizing the chair he was sitting in was reserved for the event. They go about their own ways but Henry can’t stop thinking about Halle. He returns to the bookstore to see Halle again. This connection starts a friendship…which in turn has the potential to turn into something more.

Daydream by Hannah Grace had its sweet and fun moments, but I struggled to fully connect with the characters. While the romance had its charm and the writing was enjoyable, something about the emotional depth felt a bit lacking for me. I wanted to love it as much as her previous books, but I just didn’t feel as invested in the story. Still, fans of Icebreaker may enjoy this one—just wasn’t my favorite!

It feels sacrilegious to say this but this was my least fav in the series so far. It was lovely and wholesome and I LOVE the neurodivergent representation. But for me it was missing that spice and tension that started it all in Icebreaker, just not enough push and pull.

"Daydream" by Hannah Grace is the third installment in the Maple Hills series, following the stories of Henry Turner and Halle Jacobs. Henry, the newly appointed hockey team captain, faces academic challenges that threaten his junior year. Halle, an academic superstar and aspiring novelist, offers to help Henry with his coursework in exchange for new experiences to inspire her writing. Their arrangement leads to a deep and transformative relationship. Overall, "Daydream" is considered a delightful addition to the Maple Hills series, offering a heartwarming and relatable romance that resonates with many readers. Its blend of academic challenges, personal growth, and budding romance provides a compelling narrative for fans of contemporary romance novels.

Thank you to Netgalley and the Publishing Company for this Advanced Readers Copy of Daydream by Hannah Grace!

This book is a charming addition to the Maple Hills*series, blending witty banter, academic struggles, and a slow-burn romance. Henry and Halle’s dynamic is both fun and heartfelt, with their friendship-turned-love story unfolding naturally. While some moments drag, the book club angle and character growth keep it engaging. A must-read for hockey romance fans and book lovers alike!
Thank you Atria and NetGalley for my e-ARC!

Swoony and spicy! I enjoyed the representation of Henry’s struggles with reading and Halle’s struggles with being the oldest daughter. It made them much more relatable!

While this book had everything that I loved about Icebreaker, it also had a lot of the things that I disliked about Wildfire... I love the emotional maturity and neurodivergent representation that Hannah Grace writes, but I really wanted to see more angst, tension, and plot to balance out the emotional journies the characters were on. I loved these two characters for each other, but I often found myself bored and not motivated to pick the book back up.

I loved this one! Not a spicy as Icebreaker, but I adored the friendship between the MMC & FMC and how it was so established and comfortable before they took the next steps. Some have a hard time with the little to no conflict and just overall comfort rather than pining by the MCs but I loved it for a quick and lighthearted read.

I loved Icebreaker and Wildfire and was super excited when Daydream was announced and I was lucky enough to get the book arc!
What a pretty book!! I love the honesty and the authors mention of not wanting to put a diagnosis on him prior to the book starting but hinting at ADHD/Neurodivergent.
Loved the connection and mutual benefit that the main characters offer to each other before they got together!

This fell a little flat for me. I didn’t feel like the characters were super interesting. It was a cute story, but it was missing something

I very much enjoy coming back to the world of Maple Hills. Henry and Halle, I think make such a cute couple. There were a few things about them I felt didn't make sense, like Henry being a 'playboy' and flirting with a lot of women, but also socially awkward and not good at communications. It just didn't feel like a reflection of who Henry would be but was only a plot device for Halle to be warned away from him initially. But other than that, I enjoyed all of the character interactions and the mental health representation in this book. As an oldest sister myself, I could absolutely relate to Halle and her struggles with feeling like the family manager and being so needed all of the time.

This is my favourite of the series.
Loved the diversity in this book
Loved them together. Forced proximity

“This might be my favorite romance book, but we’re my favorite love story.”
I absolutely adored Henry so much and found him very relatable. Just like the others in this series, it’s a YA adult with mature content. While I felt a connection with both main characters for different reasons, Henry truly reached out to me. One, I think we all need a Henry in our life who will call us out on our nonsense while also being the sweetest/ most considerate person ever. I mean those Christmas gifts… come on! This was a fun and quick read that I enjoyed from start to finish.

I really really enjoyed this book! I had the privilege of reading the physical and the audio and felt it only enhanced the experience. I appreciated the fact that the mc’s were respectful of each other and their needs. Absolutely recommend!

hannah grace took it upon herself to write the longest, most boring book in existence and based on the amount of naps i took, i'd say she succeeded. nothing happens in this story, it's entirely plotless and uninspired. it's literally just two people complaining about their personal issues for 500 pages.
i mean i love halle, LOVE henry!! u could bake them into a pie, they're so freaking sweet! but they are the worst main characters ever and it makes reading this book a very rough experience.
three stars tho for that damn cute ending and for the relatability factor
imma write a better review and post it on the release date but yeah, this one was better in terms of writing style but was still as convoluted and drawn out as her other books are.

I have loved each book in this series, and it seems I like each more than the last! I loved this book so much. Both of the main characters were very relatable, but Henry especially stole my heart. Henry was exactly the adorable sweetheart we were all expecting him to be after the first two books, but he was also so much more. Overall, I'm obsessed with this one.

This book was fine. Maybe my favorite of the series, but not a series I’m in love with. I thought the characters were well developed but the conflict didn’t grab me. For how spicy it was, the romance definitely held on to the “friend” vibe much longer than I wanted it to. I didn’t understand why they never really got together, or the FMCs reluctance for the label. It made it hard to root for or believe in the connection between the two of them, Overall, the pacing felt slow but it was still an enjoyable read.
I received an advance review copy for free from the publisher via Netgalley and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

What a dreamy romance this is. Our main characters fit so well together. And it was lovely seeing the main characters from the previous books. I also love the cover!
