4.5 stars and my thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for the eARC.
For as much as I did not like Icebreaker and Wildfire, I fucking loved Daydream. Henry has been a "fan favorite" for a long time and I can see why. Henry was the perfect MC for this type of story.
And Halle. My love. I'm so glad I got to read about Halle. I love that she got to grow as a person outside of her relationship with Henry. I loved the slow burn. I loved the support from her friends. I loved that she never once reconsidered going back to Will. That was so fucking refreshing.
I read a few of the 1 star reviews and almost all of them are upset about the slow burn, but honestly? It worked. I think that's why I didn't really like the first two as much. There was little to no buildup for the characters as people. I felt no connection to Anastasia and Nate or Aurora and Russ. But Henry and Halle? They're sweet, slow love story? Perfect.

100% yes.
Henry is a neurodivergent character and the author writes him so incredibly well. The relationship grows phenomenally from friends to platonic love to something more. It's an extremely slow burn but I'm not even mad about it because the characters are so genuine and endearing. I also love the dual perspective because it helps develop more of an understanding to Henry's thought process and this is the neurodivergent we need. Also, the author's letter in the beginning of the book was so genuine and heartwarming and it really grabbed my interest; it's very validating and heartfelt.
The writing has grown SO much since Icebreaker. There's not a lot of conflict between Henry and Halle so this isn't the book for you if you're looking for something with angst, but their communication and growth together is phenomenal. The way they understood exactly what the other person needed is so satisfying. I love the attention the author brings to a "neurodivergent coded" character. Even though this was super slow burn and the romance isn't really the main focus, I didn't really mind it because neither of them doubted their feelings and seeing them discover more about themselves and each other was perfect enough. Henry and Halle's story is sweet, wholesome, and everything that I didn't know I needed. It'll be hard to top this one in this series.

Another cute romance from Hannah Grace! The books in this series just keep getting better! I was drawn in from the start and didn’t want to put this one down!

I love this series so much. However, now that I’ve finished Daydream, this is my favorite of the series! Halle and Henry have the best chemistry, and I did not want this story to end. I listened to the audiobook, which was narrated beautifully.

Gosh do I love Hannah Grace. I gave her first two books four stars, but I think her writing has only gotten better, and this one gets all the stars for me. I really enjoyed both the main characters of this book: sweet Halle who does too much for others and not enough for herself, and star hockey captain Henry who secretly has no desire to be captain. The best thing about Hannah Grace's writing is her character development. She really takes her time giving us all the details about these characters. Henry is probably the best and more realistic character I have seen who is dealing with undiagnosed neurodivergence (and maybe depression? He definitely has some rough episodes). The way these characters help each other through their hardest times is really honest and heartfelt, and it makes the chemistry and sex between them even better. Like Grace's other books, there's a large supporting cast, and you'll enjoy them even more if you read the other Maple Hills books before this one. All of the friends in this book are supportive, funny, and feel real. I have zero complaints about this book except that I stayed up way too late reading it.
Thank you NetGalley for the digital ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.

#Daydream: 💜🏒💭
Thank you @atriabooks #AtriaPartner @simon.audio for my gifted copies!
“Fighting is for fools, and you are not a fool.”
Henry Turner. My goodness this angel. I adored Henry from the sneaks in Maple Hills, but I didn’t know if basically adore a man so much! The patience, the kindness, the overwhelming need to be alone because life is so freaking loud. I cannot get over how much I loved Henry Turner.
Halle. I don’t think I’ve ever hated a family more than Halle’s. I know they “mean well” and “are trying” but it’s a no from me dawg. Sweet Halle out here doing everything for everyone and just needs someone to cherish her. I loved how she was able to find her voice and love.
The audio was phenomenal. Emmanuel Ingram voice was so smooth like silk. I truly melted during Henry’s chapters because the vibe was IT. CJ Bloom knows how to narrate the heck out of a romance, and this was such a good one.
Out yesterday, definitely my favorite of the Maple Hills couples. They just were so relatable and good.

Daydream by Hannah Grace is a resounding second act to her debut Icebreaker. While Icebreaker was feisty and quick-witted, Daydream has a certain smoothness to it, like the most luxurious buttercream, sweet and you’ll come back wanting more. Henry and Aurora’s relationship was the perfect combination of will-they-won’t-they romance and character arch’s that make you feel like you’ve known these characters your whole life. As soon as I finished it, I was already itching for more of H&A’s story. The deep understanding that they have of one another is the perfect balance of fairytale with a touch of reality. To say Hannah Grace’s Daydream wowed me would be an understatement. This author proves time and time again why she is dominating the market, pure unadulterated talent.

Another sweet and funny romance from Hannah Grace. I never imagined I'd be as into the Maple Hills series as I am, but it's a reliably cute and charming cast of characters, and DAYDREAM continues the trend. This time we follow Henry, a fan favorite from the previous books, and his romantic interest Halle. I liked their burgeoning romance and how well they worked together, and I also really liked seeing Halle's personal growth as she strives to stop trying to please everyone and start trying to put herself first. I'm always game for these books and their hockey player characters, and I will be curious to see what comes next.

I have a note from when I read ICEBREAKER that simply says “HENRY!!!!!” …then another note from WILDFIRE that says “HENRY!!!” …and that basically sums up how freaken excited I was for his moment to shine! 😂🥹
THEN! DAYDREAM starts with Hannah Grace’s authors note regarding Henry’s neurodivergence so I knew I was going to appreciate his story even more🫶👏
✨friends to lovers
✨a mutual agreement - tutoring help in exchange for dating experience (for the book she’s writing!) 🤝 with a rule book including “don’t fall in love with me”😏😏
✨Henry isn’t only a man written by a women he’s a character RAISED by WOMEN
✨Halle is an eldest daughter and feels incredible pressure all the time - and she’s a chronic people pleaser, hello I felt seen! 🙂↕️
✨”cap” because they’re on the same team😩❤️🩹
✨found family🫶
✨the cutest Christmas gift exchange ever❤️🔥and the grand gesture later?! Henry wins 🏆
✨excellent communication skills 👏
My only complaint is there wasn’t a ton of ~tension~ between Henry and Halle🤔 they both had a lot going on outside their relationship but not a ton together? so at points it seemed too slow. BUT! I do recommend and love this series!!💝

I LOVE HENRY!!!!! <3 <3 <3
I was already excited going into this book because Henry has consistently been my favorite character throughout the series, but now that I’ve read it, I love him so much more.
I loved the FMC, Halle, who is such a supportive friend, family member, coworker, etc., and deserves so much more from people. But I was so happy to see her character development throughout the book—we love a people pleaser who finally learns how to say no!!
I also loved and appreciated all of the mental health talk. It was real, refreshing, and relevant.
Spice for this one was lower than I expected (the Maple Hills books are great smut!!), which didn’t disappoint me, but did surprise me. I’d say spice was like 3-3.5/5 🌶️🌶️🌶️
Overall, I loved this book! Truly found myself kicking my feet and giggling the whole way through. I initially gave the book a 4/5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️, but now I’m wondering if it’s more like 4.5. I really loved it!
(Thank you, Simon & Schuster and NetGalley, for the ARC in exchange for my honest review.)

She's a bookworm who's just broken up with her boyfriend, he's the hockey captain who needs a tutor, both of them are facing challenges but a sweet friendship begins and something like love is beginning to start as well. Halle Jacobs is a people pleaser, she's always putting everyone else above herself and she's tired of it. When her boyfriend breaks up with her she couldn't be more relieved to finally get a chance to explore herself, to make friends and put herself first. Halle wants to write a book and she works at a bookstore in her spare time. Henry Turner is the new hockey captain and is crumbling under the pressure to do well and to get good grades, he has a major procrastination issue and needs to pass his english class or else he'll lose everything. When Henry meets Halle, she offers to tutor him and in return he begins to genuinely befriend her and help her write her book on getting the dating experiences she never got to inspire her characters. Henry and Halle begin going on dates and outings, and Henry is beginning to fall for the first time in his life... but is he ready to fall in love? This was a sweet read and the romance between Halle and Henry was really sweet, they were super supportive and caring with one another and all the gestures they did for each other as friends was really cute. The book drags on for a bit but honestly, it's a sweet read and a great addition to the series. I can't wait to read more form this author and really hope there is more in the series!!

*Thanks Netgalley and Atria Books for sending me an arc in exchange for an honest review*

These were my favorite characters to date. This was the perfect follow up to Wildfire. I think Hannah Grace's character development has improved vastly since the first book and it definitely shows here.
I was so excited to read this early, and I highly recommend this.

I really enjoyed Daydream. The MMC was a breathe of fresh air. I know this book says it can be read as a stand-alone, but I thought the characters from the other books played a large role and found myself having to look them up on the internet.

4.5 stars
We have all been patiently waiting for Henry. This book didn’t disappoint. Henry is just the perfect book boyfriend, he’s funny, he’s sweet, he’s personable, but he has depth as well. His character has so many layers and I loved reading about his personality, his neurodivergent mind, his love for art, and his ability to love. Halle is just too good, she’s perfect for Henry and their story is one for the books literally. I saw so much of myself in Halle from the perfectionist, people pleaser, to the Swiftie, cat mom. She’s so lovely but also has so many layers and her personality really showed in this book as well. I really loved how neither of them really over shadowed the other, I loved both of them as characters equally and I am finding that harder to do in dual POV romance books, I usually like one of the characters more. Not here, I loved them separate and together. Another big plus is the found family in this book, it’s so sweet to see how deep we are in the found family between the friend group in this book, and I loved the characters from previous books more so in this book than in their own books. That just made this book all around so so much better. I didn’t want to put this book down, I had so much fun with Halle and Henry, and I can’t wait for everyone else to love them too!

Few statements before I give my review: I have heard many things about Icebreaker mostly from students that I teach. I did not realize Wildfire was part of the series until Daydream came out as an ARC read in NetGalley. I took the chance and was gifted the ARC. Before I sat down to write my review, I read a few other reviews and was shocked how many readers mentioned the development and character evolving of Henry throughout the three books.
Shocked because I would have said this is a stand alone book. Which compliments Grace’s creativity and ingenuity style of writing.
I enjoyed the slow burn and bantering between Halle and Henry. Both characters are sweet and easy to cheer for. They have a mature, healthy and open communication relationship. As they become more sociable, they begin to know one another and see them for who they are. They confide in one another and talk about their fears and flaws. In return, the partner brings out their inner strength and help them leap the hurdles of learning disabilities, family dilemmas, ex’s, expectations, school, and balancing all the mentioned.
A bit long (almost 450 pages) and was becoming a slow read, hence the four stars. I’m looking forward to reading the two previous books in the series.
Thank you NetGalley and Atria Books for the ARC in return for my review.

Hannah Grace novels are as warm and cosey as that TS folklore cardigan on the cover! I can read these curled up in a blanket all day long. And the spice! *fanning myself*

Thank you to NetGalley and Atria Books for providing me with an ARC in exchange for an honest review!
The third installment of the Maple Hills series delivers a charming blend of academic pressure, unlikely friendship, and blossoming romance. In this novel, Henry Turner, a reluctant hockey team captain facing academic challenges, crosses paths with Halle Jacobs, a brilliant but overwhelmed student juggling multiple responsibilities. Their unexpected alliance, sparked by Henry's intrusion into Halle's book club, leads to a mutually beneficial arrangement: Halle will help Henry with his studies, while Henry will introduce Halle to new experiences to combat her writer's block.
Ugh, Henryyyyy. We already knew that Henry was going to be perfect. I expected this. But, Halle? I did not expect Halle. Truly the most beautiful counterpart to our dear Henry and a leading lady that many women, myself included, can relate to. The friendship that Henry and Halle share feels natural and convincing despite the obvious tension between them and the spice is ✨ quality over quantity. ✨ Overall, this series was such a treat and I can’t wait to see what Hannah Grace dreams up next!

I’ve been excited for this book since it was announced and it certainly didn’t disappoint.
It was so nice to be back with the Maple Hills gang. Hannah’s books are very much a comfort for me.
Both Henry and Halle’s characters had a lot of depth which I really loved. I feel like it really helps you connect to the characters more and want to care about them. I saw a lot of myself in Halle too which is always nice. I loved that she was into literature and also a swiftie.
I don’t feel like the plot was rushed at all and felt that when the spice hit in the book was perfect for the characters.
Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed this book and would recommend it!

Wonderful romance with exceptional characters. The depth behind both characters really made me fly through this novel. I loved the romance but the friendship made such a strong foundation! Also, I am obsessed with Halle's grandma-core aesthetic. It sounds gorgeous, fun, and full of life (and great memories).
I must sheepishly admit that despite owning both of the prior books, I have not read them as I prioritize my Net Galley reads and I have been quite busy. You do not have to read the other books for this one to make sense. I did not know much about Aurora or Anastasia as characters but since they are side characters the only spoiler is that they both got their men. And if you are reading romance and don't know that, there are other issues.
I also finished it as an audiobook on my way to work through Spotify, and the narrators are excellent!
Thank you to Net Galley and Atria Books for the eARC! All opinions are my own.

Oh my goodness it was so so good to be back in the Maple Hills world!!! Henry and Halle’s story has been a long time coming but it was so worth the wait. What I love most about this book is you can tell Hannah took her time and really thought about how Henry and Halle’s love story would unfold. It’s a little bit of a slow burn which I absolutely adored! You could feel the tension and longing between them. 😭 I also love love the found family aspect in this book it’s always so cute when characters from past books make a cameo! I loved this from start to finish and dare I say it’s my favorite book in the series??? Yes it absolutely is!
