I loved this with my whole heart. The art is so cute. I LOVE CATS.
The book had quotes that were silly but some that actually made me think and needed to read atleast once.

Thanks to NetGalley for letting me read this fun book -- I loved it so much I immediately went to my account and added it to my shopping list and my wish list so I could get copies for myself and as gifts. I don't normally recommend damaging books, but I would love to decorate my work area with some of the best inspirational pages, and maybe even rotate them on a regular basis. I like being able to see positive notes while I work, and there are so many funny, wise, inspirational, and naughty examples here. You don't have to be a cat lover to think this book is funny and positive.

A cute book for cat lovers or anyone who wants some feel good comics. This book is very sweet and funny with an aim to cheer you up with its cute rhymes and cuter cat images. I really liked the sort of affirmations/reminders in each comic, though some felt a little repetitive. And mostly I enjoyed the drawings of the adorable cats

“Existing can be a lot of work”

It is a humorous compilation of many cats, many wise but sometimes also just very cat-related things. I quite enjoyed the bits (and bites) at parts this book brought. Between the very feline things, you can find a lot of quotes which can build you up again, to help you get a bit happier. As it even says “Existing can be a lot of work” but this book tries (and for succeeds) in making it a bit of an easier job to manage.

This book is filled with cat thoughts - some goofy and silly, some insightful and sweet. I laughed at many of them and awww-ed over many.

This book would make a great gift for a cat lover or a cute coffee table book.

This book was absolutely delightful. I have seen his work before and was so excited to read this. I would definitely gift this to people in my life who need an uplifting message and love cats and will certainly recommend this to others.

It is short, very sweet, and I found myself pausing on specific pages that resonated with me or those I love. A couple of pages even had me tearing up a) because I love cats and b) I have always loved cats and c) I sometimes have existential crises about my cat's life span. The art is darling and the messages are poignant.

This is an adorable book where cats are talking to you about everyday things and say nice things about the reader. It's a super cute book and a great book to read to help boost your self confidence.

This was amazing! The color and art style is beautiful and I love how large the cats' eyes become throughout each panel. It's a simple, uplifting series and is great for animal lovers all around.

This book was alright. I was hoping it would be better than this, though. I enjoyed a few of the pages but most of it was about biting and trite quotes from social media posts. I’m pretty disappointed. The art was cute. 2.5 stars rounded up to 3.

Absolutely adorable book of comics. I follow this artist on Instagram, and was excited to see the book available to read on NetGalley. It's a lovely mix of cat themed jokes and uplifting messages. This book would be a great gift for any cat lover.

I adore cats! I adore comics with cats! I adore comics with cats drawn by beloved Portuguese artist Luis Coelho, a bright star on Instagram (@purr.in.ink)! And I adore this book, his very first, which made me both lol and reflect on the pithy sayings designed to give you comfort, wisdom and joy! Highly recommended for adults who also love comics with cats drawn lovingly by Coelho. Purrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!

This is an absolutely adorable little book. Full of sweet affirmations and drawing of adorable cats with huge eyes. This is definitely a book I will buy and keep in my library. A great gift for any cat lover!

the book of purrs consists of short inspirational and humorous quotes spoken by cats. it's a feel-good contemporary, very short comic with beautiful almost paper-like illustration of cats of many shapes and colours. it's a perfect book for cat lovers, every page is filled by a funny cat thought, a lot of times very relatable it could make you cry if you thought about it for a bit longer. overall, it's a great comic to consume on public transport, in between daily tasks, before bed, on vacation...

What a delightfully wonderful little book! Full of beautiful images, positive affirmations and humour, this little book is perfect for cat lovers of all ages.

If you look at the cover, this might appear to be a book for children, which it is not. But Luis Coelho has created an illustrated book about cats, sharing their thoughts on being a cat.

The illustrations in this are simple but share the thoughts of the moment in each frame - a thought shared by a cat, of course. As this illustrated story continues, some of the thoughts are funny, some profound, and some feel as though they share the thoughts as we do - the anxiety we humans are prone to have, at times. Short little rhyming phrases, a poem that portrays their inner thoughts.

The illustrations, which are shared similar to a comic strip style, are charming, as is this book. Simple wisdom is dispensed in brief sentences, and the illustrations add a lot of charm to this book.
