Very cute cat-themed little book of simple affirmations. The author recommends having it around and reading a page whenever you feel like it, and this is definitely the way to read it. I breezed through it in 2 sittings and, when I finished, I immediately went back and started flicking through it.

The art gets a bit repetitive if you just read the book in one go, but I think this would be a non-issue if you just read one page every once in a while.

Though marketed at young adults (probably millenials), I think school-aged children would enjoy it as well, and it would be a good book to work on emotional intelligence with kids - either at home or in the classroom. You should select the pages beforehand, as there is some swearing and some difficult topics like grief and depression.

I don’t own a cat and to be honest, I’m not really a cat person but this was such a great little read!!!

So many cute and funny moments.

One to re-read/ have in your home.

Defiantly one for cat lovers and cat owners.

So I want to start off by saying my cat is laying on my lap right now. I was very prepped to read this book because of that reasoning. This book is definitely not a kids book as there is swearing in it. It's fine for teens or adults. I liked the artwork of the book and thought the cats were adorable but where it lost me was the words. The story wasn't that interesting and I felt like there was like a lot of weird things said in each panel. Also what was the obsession with the cats biting it felt like every other page was talking about cats biting. Maybe I've just been lucky and I don't have cats that bite me but it seemed excessive. Like I said though overall I enjoyed the art style and the cats were drawn adorably but did not enjoy the actual words in story.

I received a free copy of this book from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

Normally I'm not a big fan of internet to print comics but this is without a doubt one of those little pocket books that everyone should carry around in case they need a little pick me up. The messages are warm and fuzzy and it contains cats. The world needs more cats.

I couldn’t stop reading it because the quotes are both humorous and serious at the same time. The way the author illustrated and wrote everything is truly amazing.

Thank you Net Galley and publishers for letting me read this arc in return for an honest review.

What a cute and short book of cat doodles. Some were funny, some were uplifting, and some were just plain cute. A book with a bunch of motivational cat illustrations to cheer up your day. It was short, sweet, and to the point. Easy to read in 10 mins or read one every morning to put a smile on your face.

Thanks NetGalley!

A lot of these really hit home for anyone that is a cat lover but what if you talked to yourself the way you talk to cats? Probably the most thought provoking thing is this graphic novel but overall it is just telling us things I'm sure our cats are thinking about us. The great thing about cats is the unconditional love they give you along with bites and purrs. This will make a great gift for your fellow cat lover.

I am here to support a Portuguese author! Move out of the way or join me because we are going to support a Portuguese author!!
I came across "The Book of Purrs" by chance and it truly made me smile at a time when I desperately needed it.
I hope that Luis has a good team behind him because a lot of these would be perfect as cards and memes for all kinds of situations since the author achieved a nice balance between funny moments that everyone who is a cat owner or lover recognises and heartfelt and comforting ones were with only a few words, the author was able to reach through the page, hug the reader and say: 'everything will be okay including you and here's a picture of a kitty cat to help you till then'
The art is also beautiful, adapting to match the mood of each page, showing the author's versatility and talent.
This was a wonderful way to pass a Sunday afternoon and I was sad when it ended.
Thank you so much to Edelweiss, NetGalley and Andrews McMeel Publishing for this DRC.

Those who follow @purr.in.ink on social media enjoy the way Luis Coelho’s big eyed kitties offer positive advice and affirmations with a bite. It can brighten your day without being saccharine. The gang has assembled in this little book to give you more of the same and it is charming. It would be a good gift for both a cat person and a friend who could use a bit of a boost.

I was not expecting such wisdom from a book of cat comics but here we are. I greatly enjoyed this one and highly recommend if you need an emotional pick me up or you just love cats.

Equal parts heartwarming and hilarious. I have been following Purr.In.Ink for years and the comics never fail to brighten up my day. This book is collection of disconnected comics that is exactly what I’d expect: a beautiful and happy collection that will have you smiling from start to finish. The illustrations are lovely, each cat having their own personality that shines through (I can never decide if the cute or the slightly manic ones are my favorites…they are all so fun!). If you have a cat, you will relate to every comic in this book. If you don’t have a cat, you will still laugh outright at some of the humor and be touched by the love. I highly recommend this book for anyone who is needing a little pick-me-up in their day. These comics don’t disappoint.
