Hope It All Works Out! is a collection of short comics surrounding Mouse, Turtle, Bird and Snail who have mostly sarcastic humorous conversations.
I expected a more wholesome comic than sarcastic. However, I still snickered along. See my favourites below.

Chronic existential dread punctuated by moments of great fun
This answer on how is it going didn't have to attack so hard

"Hope It All Works Out" is a hilarious and endearing collection of Reza Farazmand’s *Poorly Drawn Lines* comics, featuring Mouse, Bird, Turtle, and Snail in their absurdly humorous escapades. With their blend of good-natured sarcasm and surprising warmth, this book is a perfect treat for comic lovers, offering both new laughs and beloved hits from the webcomic and FX series.

I've followed Poorly Drawn Lines on Instagram for years now, so I was excited to read this and it did not disappoint. Reza's comics are funny and relatable, and I enjoyed this collection of new material and old favorites. It's a great light read and I can see it being a fun book to flip through now and again.

The artwork I thought was very simplistic and I enjoyed that it made understanding what was happening visually in each panel very easy to enjoy. Where it lost it for me was that a lot of the jokes fell flat and I almost felt like I didn't understand what the author was trying to say in each panel. There's one page that talks about a bird standing in a pile of trash saying that it needed more and so another character approaches him saying you should get a hat then he gets a hat and he said it didn't add anything to it then the bird says will you made me pay $600 for a hat. It's feel like it went nowhere and the joke was pointless. I didn't understand was the joke that the bird picked $600 for the hat or that it was a bird with a hat. A lot of these jokes felt like that. They would build up to something and then fall flat and I wouldn't understand what was funny about the situation.

I've enjoyed the Poorly Drawn Comics on Instagram for years now, and seeing a comic collection getting published made me so happy.
I really like the humor of it all and the simplicity of the art style works really well with it. That said, I wish there were some more lengthy comics in this book. Like, a more storyline forward mini adventure to differentiate the book from the online comics.
But in any case, this was a great collection and a fun, quick read.

Thank you Netgalley for giving me the opportunity to read and review this book. These opinions are completely my own
I I'm a trash pile bird and and no one can tell me differently. These characters are very entertaining, funny and yet relatable.

This is a graphic novel collection of strips - mostly sarcastic, adult humor about life. Mouse, Bird, Turtle, and Snail are the characters and best described, they would be Mouse - Main character, Bird is the angry one, turtle is the stoner friend, and snail is that friend that is rude and annoying and you are friends but not sure why.
The overall feel and coloration felt just meh to me. It was clever and funny at times for sure but it felt a little draggy even for short strips. Maybe it was hitting too close to real life/ real world for my liking. Not sure.
The strips that I liked:
Notebooks bring too good to use/ write in. "Too good for my thoughts" Painful realization yea, but also so truuuuue sometimes.
A break from messing things up - just want to "work in my garden , do some reading" THIS... ALL THE TIME PLS.
Devil's advocate - "an a-hole but for intellectual purposes" made me giggle.
Overall, Just ok, I liked the pastel colors but was a little bored and jaded by the time I got to the end. Mouse really wasn't a character I wanted to 'win' or suceed, he was just there. It was illustrated well enough but nothing mindblowing. That said, if you are looking for overly sarcastic and kinda dark... this is it.

These comics were totally relatable and super funny! I've watched the Poorly Drawn Lines show before, so I'm familiar with the characters and the humor.
I'd definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a fun read, especially if you like jokes about "adulting" problems and our existence.

Poorly Drawn Lines is one of my favorite comics of all time, and this collection did not disappoint.

Reza Farazmand‘s comics have been popular on social media for a while, so if you’re familiar with his work, this book is exactly what you’d expect! The comics are adorable, amusing, and feature all the characters we’ve grown familiar with over the years.

So cute and fun! I love seeing these comics on social media and this was a great collection. I feel a spiritual connection to Mouse

Wonderful.
Cute, quirky, made me smile ☺️ And the simple illustrations fit so well with the style of writing.
I'm in love with all of the characters. I hope we get to see some more of Ghost! 👻
Loved it.

Five out of Five Stars. This book was adorable and I really loved the artwork. Thank you for the ARC!

I have always loved comics so this was a fun read for me. It was a good break from traditional reading. Cute and. Silly.

I quite enjoyed this funny collection of comics. The juxtaposition of the animals and some of the things they said was unexpected and definitely added to the humor. It also helped that some of the things said were relatable in a very humorous way. I've definitely had similar thoughts.
As usual with a comic, there was no overarching story, just a collection of thoughts and conversations. All in all, a very good read.

3.5 Star
A Poorly Drawn Lines on social media. I find those comics fun and hilarious. So I was naturally excited to read this comic.
This comic depicts interactions between a mouse, a crow, a turtle, and a snail, with other animals making appearances. They humorously discuss their lives.
This comic is hilarious yet very relatable and gives different messages. It was a quick read.
The artwork is simple yet colourful and vibrant.
Overall, it was a fun read.

Who knew that I would have so much in common with a "poorly drawn" mouse? I am mouse and mouse is me and let me tell you there is not a single line that was drawn poorly in this collection of comics! I adore the simplicity because it still shows so much about these animals. They have so much relatable sass! Please do yourself a favor and read this!

I read this book in an afternoon and it was a great way to pass a couple of hours.
I loved the little sections and the illustrations were perfect.
It was a bit quirky in places, sad, happy, a full range of feelings covered too
Really enjoyed this one and it is 4 stars from me!

Farazmand's brand of absurdist humour is on full display in this delightful collection of comics. With their trademark minimalist style, Farazmand effortlessly explores modern life, from the perils of small talk to the existential dread of the daily grind. Simultaneously silly and profound, this is obviously is a must-read for fans of Poorly Drawn Lines.

This book was such a hoot! I needed a good laugh. The simple illustration and the sarcasm associated with it was hilarious. "Mouse", was such an icon. I relate on a personal level. Personally, I think there's a potential of shirts being printed with some of the one-liners in the books. Thank you to the Author, Publisher and Netgalley for giving me an opportunity to review this book :)
