I was given an e-ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review. Thank you Simon & Schuster and NetGalley.

I am a fan of the Poorly Drawn Lines webcomic, so I was super excited to pick up this book. Farazmand's comics are witty, absurdist, poignant, and adorable. It was a delight to read! Definitely check it out!

This is a nice light and easy read, with some dark humour added into it. Perfect for a coffee table book or something to pick up here and there for a little laugh, without having to feel fully committed to a full book.

I’ve seen some of these cartoons online and found them to be pretty funny so, I was excited to read this book. The comics address the realities of life’s imperfections in relatable ways. Some of them are laugh out loud funny while others are just okay. I’m disappointed that I didn’t enjoy this book like I thought I would. There was a lot of swearing in the comics and it seemed a bit much to me. I also wasn’t a fan of the titles for each new panel. If a comic is really good, it will be self-explanatory and doesn’t need an introduction. I’m sure there are others who will love this comic collection as is, but it just wasn’t for me.

Thank you to #NetGalley for an eARC in exchange for honest feedback. 2.5 stars

I struggled to connect with the characters in this one, and the language felt excessive and distracting.

I really liked these cooky little animals and their dry pan answers. My favourite is the turtle, I think.

I absolutely love Poorly Drawn Lines comics! Bird, Turtle, Snail, and Mouse are so relatable, it's hard not to chuckle while reading. It's like they capture all our emotions perfectly. Have you ever had a random thought and wondered if anyone else has felt the same? Well, these comics prove that many people have. So, so funny!

Thanks to Andrews McMeel Publishing for the ARC!

I really like the author's Twitter account, and this collection featured a lot of fun little strips. This would be a good coffee table book to flip through—reading it all in a row got a little bit old and some of the strips felt much weaker than others.

This was an interesting graphic novel filled with sarcasm, silliness and humour. The illustrations were cute and I loved getting to see all the characters in different situations that we can relate to in reality. I’m starting to become a fan of dry humour which I struggled with in the past so I enjoyed reading this much more than I probably would’ve enjoyed it a few years back. The only reason this wasn’t a five-star read was because most of the skits in this book I’ve seen in other books, so while the characters were different, the concepts are reused.

I liked it, sometimes it made me really smile while reading and some comics were just like meant for me! Overall I appreciated it even though I'm not completely in love with the whole book. Anyway sarcasm is my language and this is a book worthy for a reread anytime.

Hilarious and yet adorable? This is great for fans of sarcastic webcomics. I can see my older high school students appreciating these!

Oh my god this book was so stupid, I loved it😂 simple illustrations, mostly conversations between snail, bird, turtle, and mouse, but occasionally there are humans & cats. It made me giggle effortlessly despite its simplicity, even though I didn’t understand the context sometimes. Still a relaxing and easy read!

This was a hilariously real look at life told through the lenses of different animals. The crow was my favorite… read it to find out why. The characters are a salty mix of existential crisis moments and tender moments of love and friendship. The drawings are rudimentary and basic, but hilarious. I really enjoyed this collection.

I've been a fan of Poorly Drawn Lines for a long time, so I was really excited to jump into this collection! Hope It All Works Out is a wonderful blend of old and new comics featuring our favorite characters, or can be a great introduction to newcomers. As expected, you'll laugh, cry and everything in between at the story lines, as they range from light and funny to serious and thought-provoking. I've always loved this about the comic series and this volume represents that range really well. You never know what to expect with the next page!

Much like Bird said in one of the first comics, "Believe it or not, Mouse, we're going three for three on this one."

Thanks to Net Galley and McMeel Publishing for the ARC of the perfect before bed read for sweet dreams and laugh out loud funny moments.
