Gabriel has an unusual talent. He is able to see inside peoples minds. He is not fond of using it. When he is asked to help find a young man that has been missing, he cant turn it down. But things go awry when he starts falling for the women he is listening in to. He knows that he cant fall for them because one could be the killer. It was a very interesting take of psychological thriller.
This was an excellent fantasy escape read with so many elements. Very enjoyable.
Many thanks to Portable Magic Ltd and to NetGalley for providing me with a galley in exchange for my honest opinion.
This story was so suspenseful every page brought more questions and a hundred different scenarios into my head. I really enjoyed the blend of alchemy into the thriller mystery setting as well.

Slow-paced, plodding, boring, without much happening and with a main character that left me completely cold.
I AM SO EMBARRASSED ... JUST NOW FINDING THIS ONE ON MY KINDLE/AMAZON. WAS NEVER READ SO NO REVIEW COMING AT THIS LATE DATE. MY SINCERE APOLOGIES.
Well, I liked parts of the book and other parts, not so much. It is one of those books that you need to decide for yourself. I am giving it a 4 star because I did read it through to the end and I don't always do that .
Wonderful novel with terrific characters and very strong sense of place - Natasha is a wonderful, inventive, creative writer who never disappoints.
