Mia Baker inherits her grandfather's house in Greyslake after he passes, only to find a small werebear cub hiding in her pantry. She soon finds out that the boys guardian and uncle has been beating him and refuses to give him back. It's up to the town sheriff and Itan, Ty, to work out a solution.
But once he realizes there's a deeper conspiracy and that this little partial werebear, but more human, is his mate, he has more to protect than he ever thought. The family they are making with the cub, Parker and Mia, along with his clan.
Mia finds out that her past and identity aren't exactly what she thought they were. Ty must team up with the neighboring wolves to protect his clan and their combined territory from outside forces, who will do anything to gain power.
I liked it for the most part, but I also listened to the audio, which didn't have the best narrator. I think I'm getting a little spoiled with the duet recordings. Having one person do all the voices is a little annoying, especially when they aren't that great. I'm definitely interested in reading more about the Abrams brothers. I'm hoping that down the road, there's a story about Parker.
