His Truth Her Truth is a captivating psychological thriller that kept me guessing until the very end. The dual perspectives of Joe and Beth add an intriguing layer to the story, making it hard to figure out who is lying and who is telling the truth. The home invasion setup is chilling, and the presence of the knives in their hands only deepens the mystery.
The twists and turns were well-paced, and the unreliable narrators kept me on edge, wondering where the truth really lies. While the ending was satisfying, I felt a bit of the pacing slowed down in the middle, but overall, this is a fantastic read for fans of twisty thrillers with complex characters.

Catchy, adventurous, grips you and has some unexpected twists and turns. Absolutely stunning work and the writing skills is outstanding.
Character building and development is amazing which helps to build the story and settings perfectly.
Highly recommend 10/10

Beth and Joe were engaged. Beth was a paralegal and Joe was the owner of Tasker House, a facility that assisted women who are in trouble. Beth's mother was an alcoholic and Beth had problems with drugs and alcohol as well. Her mother had left her and her father when she was 7 years old and as a result her relationship with her mother was terribly strained. When her father died, she went overboard with alcohol. So much so that it caused her to be suspended from her job. Joe knew she had been drinking a lot but he didn't know the full extent of it. She was drinking every chance she got. She was extremely paranoid and had decided that Joe was cheating on her. Her job has suggested that she seek counseling, and she ended up finding A therapist named Allison. It turned out Alison, AKA AJ, worked with Joe.
Beth's father had made a provision in his will that said that if her mother and she reconciled, her mother would receive 1/3 of the estate so her mother was determined to reconcile. Not that she cared about. Beth, but she was greedy. Her mother had been in constant touch with Joe and was threatening him to convince Beth to reconcile. Joe was unwilling to go along with it.
One day, Beth was feeling incredibly paranoid and phoned Joe to ask him to come home. In the meantime, someone broke into her house and was attacking her. Joe came home in the midst of the attack and he too was attacked. They were taken to the hospital and Joe fell into a coma. Beth's throat had been slashed and because her voice box was attacked she was unable to talk. The police came to the hospital to interview her but because she couldn't talk she used a pen and paper. She was of the impression that Joe had attacked her.
While she was in the hospital, she asked the doctor if she could go and see Joe to which he agreed. When she got to his room, Alison was sitting there with him and she was holding his hand. Because they had had their sessions via video, she was devastated seeing Allison appearing to be so close to Joe and she fled back to her room. Allison then went to her room to try to explain everything. She told her that she and Joe work together and that she didn't know that. Beth was the person that Joe was engaged to. But she told her that Joe loved her very much. Up until then, Beth assumed that Joe was having an affair with Alison. Alison befriended Beth and when she was released from the hospital, Alison picked her up. Knowing that Beth probably wouldn't want to go back to the scene of the crime, she suggested that she come home with her, which she did.
The two detectives who were investigating Joe's attack, Detective Thompson and Detective Johnson, had it in their mind that Beth had attacked him. Detective Thompson was making it his business to convict. Beth, but Detective Johnson was more sympathetic.
Detective Bradshaw was Alison's husband and they were estranged. Alison had kicked him out and he was doing everything he could to get his son, Nicky, away from her. He had responded to an alleged domestic violence call to Beth and Joe's house.
Over time, Beth had remembered the smell of the cologne her attacker was wearing and in talking with Allison they came to realize that that was the cologne that her husband wore. So it didn't take a brain surgeon to decide that he was the one that had attacked her and Joe. Eventually, Joe never came out of his coma,. He died. Beth was determined to seek Justice for Joe. Beth was also sure that her mother was behind the attack.
This saga was exactly the kind that I like. It had intrigue and suspense, complete with a twist ending. This author kept me on the edge of my seat. The book was hard to put down. I really appreciate it how the author handled all of the twists and turns And how well developed the characters were. I gave it five stars.

His truth Her truth by Noelle Holten is a 3.5 ⭐️ read.
This book was good in parts and long and wordy in others, I kept turning the pages as I needed to know what happened and by the end I was unsure on how much I liked it, this is why the 3.5 (rounded up to 4) ⭐️s I would always recommend people pick up the book and try it for themselves.
I voluntarily reviewed an advanced copy of this book through Netgalley

Beth and Joe’s relationship is in a right state. Beth is torn up at the loss of her dad and is self medicating to get through the days and nights, not coping amazingly at all. Joe is in a pickle both with work and with Beth – he can’t say the right thing ever and he doesn’t feel he can leave his organisation to those beneath him to support Beth. So it’s all a bit of a mess…
But there is so much more at play with this couple’s lives that they can’t control. The outside influences. And the couple doesn’t know everything that they think is going on!
The alternating chapters in Part 1 gave me a partial insight to this couple’s fractured relationship but it wasn’t the full truth. But Part 2 threw a curve ball of only giving the one voice for a number of chapters kept me on tenterhooks – what would happen to the other party?! It was totally messed up as I navigated my way through the second half(ish) of this story. And it didn’t stop giving. It was constant!!
Holten’s proved her capabilities at writing a series and now is entering the world of the standalone novel. His Truth Her Truth is an accomplished read. Part 1 was a game of tennis but Part 2 was like a blinkered canter without knowing where I was going. I got sucker punch after sucker punch. I felt battered and bruised by the end. The thought processes I went through would never have got me to my ultimate destination I assure you! Bravo Noelle – that’s one helluva thriller! Blooming loved it !

I really enjoyed this book, which is packed with several clever twists and turns. I found it to be a gripping read and very well-written.

His Truth Her Truth follows a couple called Beth and Joe. Beth has recently lost her father and is trying to navigate life whilst dealing with grief and her partner Joe. Joe has become emotionally distant and is keeping secrets. The story starts off with a snippet of the police responding to a home invasion at Beth’s and Joe’s where they are both injured. It then jumps to the lead up to the home invasion from Beth’s and Joe’s accounts- who is telling the truth?
There was a lot of twists and turns in this book and it had me continuously changing my mind on what could have happened. I was hooked from the start to the end, some of the twists I saw coming but as I made up my mind towards the end, I really didn’t see the ending being how it was.
A brilliant read- would recommend!

Just like the title says, this book is all about truth. I liked this book but I couldn't say I loved it. I felt like it dragged on too much. It was also a little far-fetched.

This is a fantastic read, I really enjoyed the clever twists in the story, and the characters are well written, even if some of them warrant a slap or two!
It’s clear the author is well versed in this area, and her knowledge pays off in the story. All in all, I highly recommend this gripping book

I was expecting a lot more from this book. Unfortunately, it was very slow to start, and by the time the actual crime happens, i kind of felt over it and was not really impressed with whodunnit.

An intriguing psychological thriller with an amazing web of strong characters woven into the plot. So cleverly written.
Once the pace picks up the book cannot be put down until the end.
There were so many wrong and feasible leads where you can believe you know the ending, but then you find something else to follow within the characters and realise there is another direction in which you are heading. You really are left at times wondering who to believe as all o come through as very plausible.
The tension builds throughout .
An excellent read

Woah. I was honestly shaken by this one. It had me feeling so disturbed and intrigued in the same breath.

His Truth Her Truth by @author_noelleholten 🪢
We’re introduced to Beth and Joe, a couple living together in the idyllic setting of Gladstone Village. After Beth’s father dies, and receiving minimal help from Joe, she finds herself at the bottom of multiple bottles. Joe has his own problems too; his business is on the brink and he’s terribly worried about Beth’s downward spiral.
A mysterious tip-off to the police about a home invasion gone wrong finds Beth and Joe both stabbed in their home, clinging onto life but each holding a knife. What has truly gone on here and will we ever find out the truth?
Told from both Beth and Joe’s POV’s, we’re reminded that not everything is as it seems and there are most certainly two sides to every story. The alternating viewpoints build tension and confusion, making it difficult to flit through the pages where some very dark and disturbing topics lie. Neither Beth or Joe are extremely likeable, but both have their issues and flaws and make some VERY questionable decisions that sometimes didn’t really fit with the story. Beth’s POVs affected me more than Joe’s and it was sad to see her slowly losing herself as time went on, they do say grief does strange things to people.
His Truth Her Truth is split into two parts, before the incident and after, and I felt like the book ramped up in the second half. I found the first half to be quite repetitive, especially on the topic of Beth’s drinking, but the short and snappy chapters were holding my attention. Holten’s writing is attractive, comprising of countless twists and turns which makes for an enticing and thrilling read. Yes, the characters had their flaws, but faced with the many decisions and scenarios, we would probably have our flaws too.
All in all, an exciting domestic thriller with unreliable narrators that will have you questioning everything and everyone. A huge thanks to Noelle, Harper Collins and One More Chapter for the e-ARC. The Kindle version of His Truth Her Truth releases on 1st March 2025 and the paperback on 13th March 2025!

An enjoyable book but did seem to be a bit of a slow burner. I found part 2 that comes at around 60% ramped the story up a bit more. I really liked that the chapters are short and snappy. A good storyline but nothing out of the ordinary.

Thank you to Netgalley for my copy!
This book is a fast-paced, twisty thriller that keeps you hooked from start to finish! I really enjoyed being kept on my toes while reading!
The dual perspectives of Joe and Beth make for an addictive read, with plenty of secrets and surprises along the way. Noelle Holten’s writing is sharp, and the suspense builds perfectly. I will define picking up more of her books after this.
If you love domestic thrillers with lots of tension and unexpected turns, this one’s definitely worth picking up!

I have read many books by Noelle Holton, so I was incredibly excited for this one and it certainly did not disappoint!
That time old saying of there being 'Two sides to every story' really comes into play in this book, as we explore the lives of a couple in what can only be described as a toxic relationship, and shows the effects it has on the two victims and their point of view surrounding it all.
The twists and turns this story takes as the plot progresses is remarkable and had me on the edge of my seat! an absolute must read!
*Thank you to Netgalley for providing me with an ARC of this book in return for my honest review.*

I was really excited by the premise and was keen to see how it'd play out. I lived the alternate povs and you're never quite sure who's pov you can trust. For me the book dragged. A lot. It's a really slow burn and very character based. I would have preferred a bit more thing actually happening to keep the plot moving forward. The characters also seemed just overall, really unlikeable people so I struggled to ever care. It did have a good ending hut it felt like maybe some of the themes were half delivered on and you could have gotten away with cutting the book down quite significantly without it impavting the plot and it might have made it feel a less of a drag

Noelle Holten is a great writer I love all her books and was excited to read this.
Gripping from the first page I loved this read.
Loads of twists and turns, great characters

I found the first half to be compelling than the second half, but overall, I liked the back and forth between the two people to try and figure out what happened to them. Some twists were good, some were not, and the ending didn't totally shock me.

I've been trying to get through this one for a week. Part of it was down to me being unwell, and I found myself unable to focus on it enough to read. Once I felt better, I started again and found I was still not connecting with this story. I found it incredibly slow, some of it didn't feel like it made sense, the ending felt rushed and there just didn't seem to be any kind of resolution or explanation as to what had happnened.
