I really enjoyed this not only was this a unique interesting thriller but it also has raised awareness for domestic abuse.
It was such a thrilling twisty story I couldn’t put down I loved the girls from the support group they are strong women fighting to be free they deserve a happy ending.

This book is about people who attend a support group for domestic abuse. Their partners start to get targeted and there are twists and turns to finding out who is the killer.

I really enjoyed this book to start with but then I thought it got a little bit far fetched. I would rate it as 3.5 out of 5 and it sounds like it will be a series so I will read the next book and hopefully see some character growth.

Thank you to NetGalley and Harper Collins / one more chapter for my advanced reading copy.

On New Years' Eve, Jess Pendle has to be rushed to A&E after her partner Lewis attacks her. Sticking to the story she's been told to give - she finally admits it: she's a victim of domestic violence, and seeks help. She's invited to a support group for women like her - a safe place to discuss their relationships, how to get onto the other side - and how they feel let down by those meant to investigate the crimes that have been committed.

However, someone is using the group - frustrated by the lack of progress - to take the law into their own hands. Where the police fail to investigate, The Caretaker steps in, and anyone who commits domestic violence should be scared of what they are about to face.

This was a solidly entertaining book - as the police investigate, we delve into the Caretaker's mind and I would say most of the characters are quite sympathetic! 4*

Thanks to NetGalley and Harper Collins UK for this Advanced Reader’s Copy of The Serial Killer Support Group by D.B. Stephens due to be published May 8, 2025.

When Jess Pendle agrees to attend a support group to meet other women who have lived similar experiences, she doesn’t expect much.
The group has been set up for like-minded women to come together, but when their therapist leaves, they close the blinds and find a new, and altogether more deadly way to support each other…
I loved this book – not only because of all the twists and turns, but because of the awareness it brings to domestic violence and all the repercussions it causes in so many lives. Although it didn’t end quite the way I thought it would, it came to a very satisfying conclusion!
