So good!

This book is a sweet, clean, multi-generational romance and family novel. What starts out as a bride and groom’s search for the perfect wedding venue turns into a journey of discoveries.

I immediately was engaged in the outcome for Zoey and Cooper, and then even more for Helen, Adam, Genevieve and Gage. The story flew along and I am eagerly waiting for the next book in the series.

What a beautiful story! This book is full of warmth, love, romance and surprises. It was unique with strong women meeting challenges. I fell in love with the interesting and complex characters. So well written and heartwarming, I didn't want it to end. I enjoyed every bit of this story. It was
time well spent. I highly recommend.

I happily returned for the third installment in the Lake in the Clouds series. Each book has been better than the last. The series began with Genevieve taking a break from parenting. She was widowed at 39 and gave everything to raising her kids. When none of her kids returned for Thanksgiving she sold the family home and purchased a rustic waterfront lodge with her sister with the idea to renovate and flip. The first two books included romances for two of her children and a potential romance for her.

I was pleasantly surprised the focus in this book was more on her sister, Helen McDaniel. She is the town mayor and has had a long and successful career as a lawyer. She had three marriages and after many miscarriages accepted being the doting aunt to her sister's children. Enter Dr. Zoey Hillcrest, who comes to Lake in the Clouds with her fiance, seeing it as a potential wedding venue. All of them are startled at the resemblance of Zoey to Genevieve’s daughter Willow who is the wedding planner. The story follows Zoey as she makes discoveries no one is expecting.

I love the clear love and understanding between Genevieve and Helen. Their sisterhood is rocked by past secrets but they are each other's staunchest supporters. Genevieve’s storyline and romance progresses in this book as well. I was especially moved by some of the ending scenes. All of the characters are likable and the story easily readable. It can be read on its own but it enhances my enjoyment by already knowing the sisters from the previous book. This was a wonderful way to finish up the series, but there is still a single son so there may be one more book to come. Either way I will gladly read whatever the author writes next.

Zoey Hillcrest is getting married and is off to book a venue in Lake in the Clouds, Colorado. When she arrives with her fiancé Cooper, she meets sisters Genevieve and Helen who have to do a double take when they see Zoey. They can not figure out why she looks almost identical to Genevieve’s daughter Willow.

With the venue booked Zoey heads back home to finish her medical degree. Things start going sideways when Zoey's long estranged mother returns. Zoey has questions that have gone unanswered for too long but her mother still refuses to answer. Zoey's world starts falling apart and she feels so lost. When she does a DNA test to maybe get some answers, she is shocked with the results. When she returns to Colorado, the mystery starts to unravel. Will Zoey finally find her long lost family? What will happen when Genevieve and Helen find out the truth of who Zoey really is?

I absolutely loved this novel by Emily March, one of my long-time favourite authors. The characters are so lovable and the touch of mystery slowly unraveling had me turning pages long into the night. It was also great to visit again with Genevieve and her family from the previous novels. This was the perfect conclusion to the Lake in the Clouds series and I am already looking forward to what Emily March will surprise her readers with next. This book begins with sisters having Bloody Marys after a meeting and ends with the same sisters enjoying time together closing doors to the past. In between, be prepared for family secrets, love, new family members, mysteries resolved, engagements, weddings, and so much more.

Things I'm really happy with this series...the principle characters are older women. Older women want love and romance as much as younger women. Thank you Ms. March for having more mature people in this series. Generational discussions. Grandparents, parents, and children are shown interacting with each other. This is how families should work and it's nice to see it on the pages of a novel. It was nice to see two of the younger engaged people actually talk about what was bothering each of them, albeit after they'd NOT discussed their thoughts!

I loved this book and have loved this whole series. I sincerely hope this is not the end of our time in Lake of the Clouds.

Emily March is one of my favorite authors, so I was excited to receive an advance copy of Second Chance Season. Second Chance Season is the third book in the Lake in the Clouds series, which tells the stories of two sisters, Genevieve and Helen. I have really enjoyed this series since the main characters are over 55, but stories of their adult children are woven in, too. Genevieve and Helen own and operate an inn, and Genevieve's daughter Willow has just started planning weddings at the inn. Zoey, a bride to be, comes to the inn to meet with Willow, and Zoey's story becomes a focus of the book. The ending of this book is so satisfying, and a few tissues were needed for my tears! Emily March has written another heartwarming story, filled with characters that the reader comes to know and love. Emily March continues to write excellent books! First of all, I wish I could live in Lake in the Clouds. This gifted storyteller always gives us a warm, compelling, sometimes mystical world that feels like home and makes me long to be a part of it. Her stories and series are 9nes I wish would go on forever.

This story centers on two sisters, Helen and Genevieve, and their Inn at Mirror Lake. Along with providing a beautiful, restful place for vacations, they also host wedding events. Their newest bride-to-be, Zoey Hillcrest, is anticipating a beautiful, unforgettable wedding, but what she finds is far more special.

Oh my heart! This is quintessential March, with hints of the magical Eternity Springs and the seraphic Celeste Blessing divinely touching this story from afar. Sweet, charming, heartwarming, and memorable, your romantic heart will be eternally grateful when you read this one

I absolutely love Emily and her fantastic writing.
She never fails to suck me in and keep me reeling for more.
I loved being back in Lake in the Clouds, Colorado with these fabulous characters again.
Such a heartwarming story about secrets, sisters, and the enduring power of family ties.  
A good read will bring you laughter, tears and wanting more--and this title does exactly that!

Second Chance Season by Emily March, book three in her Lake in the Clouds series, was a heartwarming emotional roller coaster, filled with secrets, heartaches, wonderful surprises, and a miracle or two. Zoey Hillcrest is a young bride-to-be who is still completing the last few months of her medical education. Newly engaged, she dreams of getting married at the Inn at Mirror Lake, but what she uncovers there is more than just a wedding venue; it’s the key to her lifelong quest of discovering who she really is. What she finds will not only change her life but also deeply affect those around her, including the series’ main characters.

The story alternates between Zoey, Genevieve Prentice, and Helen McDaniel. Through these intertwined storylines, we gain insight into Genevieve and Helen’s pasts, uncovering family secrets that deepen the already strong bond between these women. Without away giving too much, there’s a powerful message of hope and forgiveness woven throughout the narrative that leaves a lasting impression.

Ms. March wrote another amazing story with interesting characters that creates the feeling that we are revisiting old friends. Her description of this small Rocky Mountain town is so visual that it feels as if the reader is there with the characters. Although this is a standalone story, reading the previous books will add an extra layer of depth to the story. I highly recommend Second Chance Season to other readers and hope there is another book in this series.

This story had my heart. It brings out so many emotions. Loved all the characters stories. Once you start the book it’s hard to put down!

Zoey Hillcrest and her fiancé, Cooper, are planning their wedding, and go to Lake in the Clouds, Colorado.to look at a wedding venue. Little did they know, that when they arrive, that Zoey, and the family that owns the wedding venue, their lives could change forever.
Sometimes life brings people together for a reason, and in the story we see this seems to be happening. Life is unfolding for them, and as they move forward in their journey, things are revealed they weren't expected, but they follow it through.
Emily March will take you on a journey, that kept me reading, made me think, and I felt like I connected with them, and didn't want the story to end. The story did indeed end, but I will be thinking about them all for a very long time.

I love this series and this family! I was heartbroken when we learn about Helen's secret. It pulled out all of the emotions. I was pulled into the story from page one and hated when it was done. The relationship between Genevieve and Helen is so wonderful. Everyone should be so lucky to have such a friendship like the one they have! I don't want to reveal anything, but this book was done so perfectly. I laughed, cried and felt everything in between. I'm already looking forward to the next visit to Lake in the Clouds! Second Chance Season is the third book in the series Lake in the Clouds by Emily March. It was an excellent book, and I am now going to read the first two in this series.
The story was so perfectly written that the characters come to life for me as I was reading.
I like books about sisters that are older. This has ever imaginable life event that sisters can go through in their lives.
I now have a new author that I will be looking for books from.

Love, love, love this story. It has all the emotions and great characters. It is all about family, love and second chances. When Zoey and Cooper come to Colorado to check out a place for their wedding, what they found was someone who could be Zoey's twin. How could that be? As she deals with finishing medical school and her mother dying, she puts a strain on her relationship with Cooper. She is burned out at work and doesn't know if she wants to continue being a doctor and is even thinking of opening a flower shop. Where did that come from? The she gets some news that send her back to Colorado in search of family. Will Zoey and Cooper have their wedding? Genevieve's relationship with Gage is heating up and it scares her. Can she love someone again? Helen gets some really shocking news that changes her life. Will there be a HEA?

Second Chance Season by Emily March brings us back to beautiful Lake in the Clouds, Colorado - a favorite character in its own right. Returning to Colorado's beautiful mountains is back on my bucket list! Prospective bride Zoey visits the resort and finds so much more than the perfect wedding venue. I love the romances, for both young and old, and I loved the discovered family part of the story even more. This is a fantastic series and I plan to read much more of Emily March’s books in the future! Highly recommend!

I know when I choose an Emily March book it's going to be a delight :this book did not disappoint. As a bride and her fiance visit their venue the resemblance to their events coordinator is unsettling. It's decided we all have a doppelganger out there in the world. But as the story unfolds an unfathomable secret is revealed which shakes 3 families to the core. In true March fashion, the characters reveal a depth of understanding of the situation. You'll cheer on everyone involved praying for a peaceful resolution doubts are reveled and relationships are put on hold. I'm hoping this isn't the final book in the series but even so, I know the next series will be as delightful to read.

Family secrets, second chances and coming together. This book has all that and more set in an idealic setting. I could not get enough and I am still wanting more. Great read!

Sisters Genevieve and Helen are enjoying their summer season in Lake in the Clouds. Helen has been elected mayor and is acting on several of the programs she wanted to see happening throughout the area. Genevieve is managing the lodge while Willow is heading the wedding program. The calendar is getting booked and clients are trying to get their special day plugged in. Couples visit, discuss their needs and then are given a tour of the complex.
Second Chance Season will be published by Hachette Book Group on November 05, 2024. I was able to read and review the 3rd of the Lake in the Clouds series via NetGalley. Emily March has given readers another fabulous story of the Colorado storyline. Second Chance Season is delightful and heartwarming. I encourage her fans not to miss this one. Never read her books? Zoey Hillcrest and her fiancé have come to Lake in the Clouds to plan their wedding. She looks just like Genevieve Prentice's daughter Willow the wedding planner. They decide to wedding during the summer at the lodge that Genevieve and her sister Helen own. Zoey is finishing her residence as a doctor and her fiancé Chance is also a doctor and it's been really stressful for her lately. Zoey's mother shows up in town and is dying from cancer and she was an absentee mother when Zoey was growing up.
Zoey returns to the lake when her mother dies and her life with Chance is falling apart.

I really enjoyed this one. It was great to read Helen’s story and be introduced to new characters. I do wish there was a little more wrap up around Zoey and Cooper’s side of the story. But overall, a really great read! The pace moved quickly and I was able to read this in a short time, just like the last book in the series. Can’t wait to see who is next!
