Okay where to begin. I have read almost every Lucy Eden book she’s ever written. Her books are comfort for me because I know when I read her work it “feels“ like a Lucy Eden book- if that makes sense. There’s things I look forward to when I read her works. With that being said, I jumped for the opportunity to read her new trade pub ready to experience that beautiful “Lucy” feeling. Man oh man what I got was so much more. This one feels so different in the best way! It’s layered with so many rich themes of family, rediscovery and healing while giving you the best small town love story possible! Emma and Dan are two characters that hold their own by themselves but together go through such a special journey that I didn’t want it to end. Easily one of my favorite reads this year!

You know you’re in for a good laugh and a good time when a city girl inherits a farm! The grumpy MMC gives our FMC run for her money and it’s honestly so cute.

Lucy touched upon serious, heartfelt issues along with making you laugh and care for her characters throughout. I
recommend giving it a try!!

This was such a cute read. Emmaline has been estranged from her grandparents for as long as she can remember, so it comes as a shock that after their death the family farm is left to her. Hoping to get a new outlook on life, she leaves her life, career, and longtime boyfriend behind to explore the quaint town where everyone knows her name. This had perfect small-town vibes and you'll get warm fuzzy feelings just from the town alone.

It's clear that her grandparent's death has the town in shock, what Emmaline doesn't realize is that her family is more fundamental to the town than she could ever imagine. Not only does Emmaline get the farm, but she gets our British-grumpy mmc Danesh (Dan) who was hired to help with the horticultural aspect of the farm. They immediately have so much chemistry and although Emmaline views it as hatred, Dan goes above and beyond to make sure she's safe and settling into her new farm life.

It takes some time for the town to come around and get used to having Emmaline there (and to realize that she means them no harm), there's a plot point that I won't mention for spoilers, but at the end there's a factor that puts the town and everyone in it in jeopardy. I loved watching Emmaline do whatever it took to ensure that nothing happened to the town she's fallen in love with.

A small town farm romance with a topical twist.

I had a blast with this lovely rom-com centered around Emmaline, a successful PR agent with an Ivy League diploma and everything going for her until her late and estranged grandparents leave her their farm. It was a refreshing take on the small town romance, as the love interest had multitudes, and the farm itself is not what it seems.

Love in Bloom was fun and hopeful amidst the exploration of grief and loss. Emmaline uncovers family secrets and rekindles relationships, while finding herself and discovering what she truly wants out of life.

Expertly balancing the line of serious and playful, this had some lovely depth while also showing playful, fun moments. Lucy Eden, this was wonderful.

A huge thank you to Lucy Eden, Forever (Grand Central Publishing) and NetGalley for the ARC <3

This book was so lovely! The romance and characters were awesome, the found family was so fun, the small town was charming, and the grief was represented so well and delicately. The cover is absolutely stunning too!

I'd give this book 4.5 out of 5 stars. I really, really enjoyed it.

It was such a breath of fresh air to not read about a skinny white girl falling in love with a typical white guy. And I've read books with BIPOC main characters, but never an Indian MMC so that was amazing.

The story unfolds nicely and the conflict is a bit outlandish, but makes for some laughs. I also really related to an FMC who is a terrible cook because I'm the worst in the kitchen!

This is a small town romance with a forced proximity living situation, but it's also really sweet that these characters can and do fall in love and say what they're feeling when they're feeling it. Things seem genuine.

Also, is it just me or did you expect the grandparents to be alive the whole time? Their death that is lightly passed over seemed so strange to me.

All in all, I really enjoyed this book!

I enjoyed this. I thought the concept was really cute and I liked our grumpy MMC. The writing was a bit one dimensional but all around a cute rom-com with a little mystery and drama.

Emma has the perfect life. Ivy League Education, boyfriend who wants to run for the Senate, great job, and the best clothes. What more could she want from life? It isn’t until she inherits her estranged grandparents farm in Green Acres that she starts to realize maybe her life isn’t so perfect after all. Emma runs away from her life in Atlanta and find refuge in Green Acres. She falls in love with the community and maybe the Green Acres Farm manager too? Dan has his own past and issues but he may be just what Emma needs. But the farm has some secrets that are best kept private. Emma has a duty to the town to keep them safe, but can she do that from Green Acres?

This story is full of community building, found family, family secrets, drama, and best of all an insanely cute love story. I was sucked in from the beginning. I’m a sucker for small towns. The writing was fantastic, I think I found a new favorite author? Thanks NetGalley and the publisher for an eARC in exchange for an honest review.

This book was really sweet. I have to say, itt surprised me. I went into it expecting a typical rom-com, but I got so much more. There were many different themes explored such as grief, acceptance, anger, emotional estrangement, and, of course, love and its many complexities. Emmaline was a great heroine because she was realistic and relatable. What she goes through makes you root for her character to grow and heal and prosper.. Danesh also ended up being one of my favorite book love interests. Their relationship was sweet one it got past the initial hurdles and it was refreshing to have a multicultural couple as the main relationship. Overall it was great storytelling that got better as the book went on. I think readers will really enjoy this one! Thank you to NetGalley, the publisher, and the author for this ARC I received in exchange for my honest review.

This was a good read i think anyone that likes small-town romance with a bit of farm life and fun moments will enjoy this one. The fmc inherits her grandparent's farm and meets the mmc who's the horticulturist. She has to navigate taking over the farm, and her surprise to find out that it's a medical marijuana business and running it well since so many people in the town rely on it. She gets closer to the mmc as she's navigating family secrets, career changes, and her feelings for the mmc.

I enjoyed how unique this city girl fmc was and the farm aspect. There were a lot of fun hijinks and adventures though the fmc was also trying to figure out why her parents were not close to her grandparents. I thought the family aspect was interesting and would have liked a better tie-up with that storyline. I also liked the romance; it was steamy and happened with minimal conflict. Though trauma in both characters was discussed I still sometimes felt that they weren't great character development, especially the mmc but I appreciate what the author did with it at the end. Overall really cute, sweet, and heartwarming. Thanks to Forever for the arc.

Read if you like:
- Small-town romance
- City girl fmc
- Close-knit community
- Steamy scenes
- Cozy rom-com
- Black fmc x Indian mmc
- Weed farm/ business

3.5/5 An interesting read. Overall, this is a pretty decent story. I think with a little reworking it could be even better, especially with such a unique plot.

While I think the overall plot was adventurous, the story landed a bit flat for me. The characters and the storyline were all very interesting, however, the writing felt very one dimensional. There were lots of words, but not a lot of depth. The characters would just take their turns trauma/info dumping.

Some of the sequences were a little far fetched and/or corny. We meet Emma on what she says is the worst the day of her life, then BAM: she’s lusting after a stranger in the bathroom. She frequently says things that contradict statements that were made earlier. One minute she likes the town, she likes Dan, and people are kindly giving her free services. Then suddenly she says that the town makes her uneasy and that everyone is looking at her with contempt. She says that her grandparents were practically strangers to her, then she’s crying over them. At one point she defends her job and claims that she liked it, then a few paragraphs later, she says the opposite.

The book definitely gets better as you read, specifically the second half of the book. The first chapter of any story is usually what hooks a reader, which unfortunately was not the case here. I honestly struggled to get past the first few chapters. I wish the beginning had been more original and intriguing. Instead, Emma met her love interest, barely had any real conversation with him, and then spent the rest of the night staring at him while comparing him to her boyfriend. There was nothing coy or subliminal about her thoughts or internal dialogue. For lack of a better word, it was corny.

Anger is a big emotion in this story and I wish it had been fleshed out a bit more. Dan’s reaction to Emma’s intent with the news article felt very impulsive and out of character. Emma’s mother’s behavior at the end of the story, was also very out of character for the curt, sad, and angry Celeste that we had become familiar with.

If I had to sum it up, I would say that continuity is this story’s biggest downfall.

At first glance, this might seem like yet another story where the heroine experiences a dramatic shift in fortune after unexpectedly inheriting something from a distant, deceased relative. While it's true that Emmaline does receive a family farm, her journey goes beyond just a stroke of luck. She also uncovers deep-seated family secrets and unresolved wounds that significantly affect her as an adult.

The heroine in this book endures immense heartbreak. She inherits a family farm that has been in her family for generations, but she barely remembers her grandparents who passed it down to her. She struggles with the loss of a sister whose memories are slipping away, as well as a long-standing emotional distance from her parents. On top of that, she is stuck in a lackluster relationship with a man who values her only for what she can provide him.

Given all the heartbreak she faces, it's understandable that she seeks answers and solace in the farm. Her family has profoundly impacted the town, and this is evident in her interactions with the townspeople, including Danesh Pednekar. Danesh, the manager of the family’s multi-generational farm, was cherished by her grandparents as if he were their own. While Danesh is also grappling with his own issues, he and the heroine find comfort in each other and develop a deeply touching romance.

I really liked this book. It was so easy to fall in love with Emmaline because she is a strong heroine but I also fell in love with the side characters & unexpected but funny surprises throughout the book as well. I’m looking forward to reading more books by this author.

Thank you to NetGalley for the ARC.

Estuvo entretenido.

~ Small-town romance, Steamy-romance, Mystery, Secrets, and more!~

Love in Bloom by Lucy Eden follows Emma Walters, a savvy PR agent who just inherited her Grandparent's farm. After some unfortunate events that leave her jobless and single, she runs to the farm and into the arms of the handsome farm manager, Dan Pednekar. But all is not as it seems as Emma uncovers the small-town and farms secret.

4.5| Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed this book. It was hard to put down. I love the description of the farm and the town. Emma and Dans relationship is sweet and progresses at a nice pace. It doesn't seem to rushed or too slow. I loved getting to see some of Dan's culture throughout the book, though I do wish we got to see more of his family. His backstory is interesting and allowed me to really understand his character and ambition. Emma is a relatable character with her perfectionist nature. A strong FMC is always nice to see. She has some major character growth throughout the book. I like how Emma and Dan both had flaws; they weren't perfect the whole time. I wish Dan had more of a solid friend group like Emma especially since he seems so personable. The characters are well-rounded; they seem like they could be real people, not just characters straight out of a book. The predictable twist was made up for with the great storytelling.

One thing I especially loved about this book was the growth we saw Emma go through. Going from a fancy PR agent in Atlanta to working on a small town farm is a big change, and I'm glad that transitional struggle was shown. Her ambition is admirable and shows her stubborn personalliy. I love how rich her family history is and how it was shown. I'm typically not a fan of flashbacks in stories, but they were well done and added a lot of much-needed depth and backstory. Emma went through some really high moments and some really low moments, but she made it through. She is a smart character, and I love that aspect of her wasn't pushed aside in favor of romance. The side characters were great and had a lot of personality. This was an enjoyable and easy read with great characters and a fascinating story.

I felt like the main characters needed each other to heal something inside them and that was really beautiful to read.
