I did not enjoy this one. I tried it as an audiobook and I found it a bit dry. I do like Melissa de la Cruz books, but this one was not a good fit.

The first book in the series continues the success de la Cruz has in writing. She's skillfully interwoven history and fantasy together to create an intriguing story. My only quibble with it is the number of storylines that seem to be going on. It's not a book you can lay down and then come back later and easily pick up where you left off.

I did not finish this book, and will not be reviewing it on my blog. Thanks to the publisher for the opportunity.

A well-written and enjoyable book, I am glad I requested this title and will be more than happy to pass the title along to my fellow library purchasers.

Freaking loved this! There were a couple quotes at the beginning of the chapters that didn't fit and I don't like the cover. But I LOVED the story and I really hope this is a series!!!
