There was a lot more to the story but the two girls steal the show. They were hilarious and their antics had me laughing out loud. Great read, if you are looking to put a smile on your face this is the book to pick up.

How to Marry a Cowboy is one darn good story and a fitting ending to the Cowboys and Brides series. Carolyn Brown wrote a light, entertaining romance story of a girl on the run meeting a cowboy in need of a nanny. Call it fate that Annie Rose should end up on his front porch in a tattered wedding gown and that Mason’s twin daughters find her there and want her for their mother. In typical Carolyn Brown she brings her delightful wit to her characters in a sweet and endearing story.
Annie Rose has been on the run for the past 2 years trying to stay one step ahead of an abusive ex-fiancé. After crashing her car she finds herself at Mason’s ranch. His daughters Gabby and Libby want her to become their new mama so they agree for her to try and be their nanny. For Annie Rose, it would be a perfect solution to lie low here and wait for an opportunity to leave. Little did she know what she was getting into, considering Mason has been through a number of nannies and has the service on speed dial. When it came to being a nanny she took no crap from the girls. They needed a firm hand and Annie Rose was the one to deliver it. I’m not surprised since many of Carolyn Brown’s heroines are strong minded and independent women. I liked her style and her realization that she was sounding like her mother. That brought a smile to my face.
Mason has been on his own for the last 8 years raising his twin daughters after his wife died. He’s had a few relationships but they never lasted because he comes as a ready-made family living on a ranch. He finds himself comparing his departed wife to Annie Rose and knows they are different but can’t help when it comes to their similar actions. He didn’t have to fight hard because he knew it was time to let go of the past and let his feelings for Annie Rose be known. The way Annie Rose dealt with the girls and how they took to her and started to love her surprised Mason. He seems to be going down the same path and it wouldn’t be too long before they were tearing up the sheets.
What brought this story together for me were the antics of Gabby and Libby and how they brought Mason and Annie Rose together. The scene with the ear piercing had me laughing out loud and their little how-to books was absolutely darling. For two little hell on wheels they can be darn cute and they had it in spades. When Mason and Annie Rose take the final step to be in love and express their love it was so romantic and beautiful. It may have been a bit predictable and sappy but I couldn’t help myself but wallow in it and enjoy it immensely. I found How to Marry a Cowboy a fast and easy read and the ending was so wonderful that it was bittersweet. I loved it!
