I went into All the Missing Girls with no prior knowledge of Linda Hurtado Bond's writing, as this was my first experience with her work. I also didn't realize that this book was the second in a series. Although it reads much like a standalone, I felt I might have been missing some key points.

This thriller, narrated by Mari Alvarez, takes us on a harrowing journey to rescue her sister Izzy from Cuba and from the man Mari believes killed their mother. The story plunges us into some truly terrifying scenes. I don't think I ever want to encounter a tourist attraction like Oshunvilla again—yikes!

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. It was well-written, and the twists and turns made for a wild ride. I particularly loved the Cuban setting. The descriptions were so vivid that I felt as if I were actually there, which was incredible, especially since I have never visited Cuba.

Thank you to Entangled Publishing, NetGalley, and Linda Hurtado Bond for offering me the opportunity to read this ARC in exchange for my honest review.

Talk about thriller! Immediately we are dropped on a boat as we follow Mari Alvarez on a quest to find her missing sister.

However, Alvarez has 48 hours to enter Cuba, illegally, to look for her sister who she believes was taken by her mother’s killer. She is joined by detective Tony Garcia and photographer/longtime friend Orlando Jones as they try and untangle of web of lies and deception.

What they uncover is terrifying and leads them on a wild chase through Cuba.

This book is action packed and definitely leaves you feeling anxious and eager to understand what is happening. Umm also, that ending?!

My understanding is that this is Book 2 in the Mari Alvarez series, but I believe they are somewhat stand along. I didn’t find myself feeling like I needed to read Book 1 first, but I will definitely read it before Book 3 is released!

If you are in the mood for an on-the-edge-of-your-seat, up-all-night thriller, All the Missing Girls is the book for you! Television reporter Mari Alvarez sneaks into Cuba with her videographer and her friend, a Cuban-American police detective. Mari's mission: Rescue her sister and bring the man who abducted her to justice. Mari soon discovers that her sister isn't the only missing girl, and the truth about what's happening to them is darker than she could have imagined. The book takes readers to parts of Cuba that tourists don't see and introduces the dark side of Santeria's religious practices. It is the sequel to All the Broken Girls, which I highly recommend as well, but this book is easy to follow even if you haven't read the first.

Thank you Entangled publishing for allowing me to be a part of the ARC team.

This is the first book I’ve read by this author, I went into this story blind, not knowing what to expect, except it was a thriller. It was one of those stories that has you thinking, and wondering what’s going to happen next. I did not know this was part of a series. I didn’t necessarily feel lost reading it, but I’m sure reading the first book will help continue the story, which I need to do right now. I love all the Latino references and the Cuban sayings (reminds me of my tio 🤣). There is another book in this series. I’m the type that has to finish any series so I’m anxious to see what happens.

Great read! It kept me on the edge of my seat start to finish. I would definitely recommend! I liked the location being in Cuba, learning a bit about those who left vs those who stayed.

This book!!! Keeps you entertained the entire time, “Bleach, Burned cell phone, Half-burned T-shirt, Ripped up flooring, Someone could be trying to cover up a murder”! Hooked right here! This book is amazing, it’s one of those “just one more chapter kind of books”, that entangles you in the story, and you just can’t stop at the end of the chapter! Phenomenal book, I cannot wait to read more books from this author.

As a crime reporter for a Tampa TV news station, Mari Alvarez knows when an investigation enters dangerous territory. But with her estranged sister missing and almost no information to go on, Mari can’t trust anyone but herself to find the truth. Now she has just 48 hours to sneak into Cuba undetected, track down her sister…and pray to her orisha that she’s not too late! Wow!!! Fantastic read!! A bit psycho but great read!! I don’t know how an author can think of some of these scenarios lol but well done!! This book has me gripped page by page!! What a thriller! It had great suspense, intriguing, action packed, murder, mystery, revenge, a sort of who done it that was a bit crazy and some awesome twist and turns! I highly recommend reading this one! Thank you NetGalley and the publisher for sharing this book with me!!

Oh wow, so I had no clue this was book 2 in the Mari Alvarez series. This book took me on a terrifying ride. Mari Alvarez is a TV Reporter in search of her missing sister, Izzy. Mari is very smart, intuitive, superstitious, caring, anxious, and a bit of a control freak. On this wild ride to find her sister, she has enlisted the help of her friends; Tony Garcia and Orlando Jones. Tony is a Tampa Homicide Detective and friend; Orlando is a TV News Photographer and best friend. They are basically keeping her focused and calm while searching for her sister. During their search they come across some information that turns everything upside down. There are so many things happening beyond their knowledge and control. I found myself stressed, anxious, petrified and very invested in the outcome. There were some pretty big twists I didn't see coming. All in all this book was as suspenseful as watching a scary movie in the dark. I wanted to scream at the characters for some of their choices, but then again, what lengths would you go to for someone you love? I'm not gonna lie, I'm a little bit scared to read books 1 and 3 (I'm not usually a thriller reader), but I've got to know what happens next. Thoroughly enjoyed being scared witless.
