I read the first book of THE MARRIAGE AUCTION and I was really intrigued by the concept of extremely rich people coming to an auction to select a spouse.

I was so thankful I got to revisit Madam Alana and her marriage auction. If you love romances - sexy, spicy romance - you’ll love this book.

We follow four couples. One man and three women put themselves up as a candidate for auction, and the bidding begins (starting at a cool three million dollars).

Besides being incredibly hot and steamy, this is an entertaining read because each candidate and bidder has a backstory that has brought them to the auction. You understand why they are invested in this, not just monetarily.

Much like the first book I read in this series, the author left me with something juicy, so now I’m itching for the next book!

Thank you @getredprbooks @1001darknights_blueboxpress and @audreycarlan for this gifted book.

Thank you @brilliancepublishing for the gifted audiobook.

One look at the blurb and I knew I needed to read this book! Audrey Carlan isn’t new to me but I haven’t read a book by her in a while and I am wondering why. This was a great read and I now remember why I loved reading her books so much!

Within the first three chapters I was hooked. Each woman in the book had their own story and their own reasons for being in the auction and obviously the money plays a big factor in it also, but there is so much more to the story and to the women.

I won’t dive any deeper! But will say that I’m eager for book two!

The audio was perfect for all three of these books. I could always differentiate who was speaking.

The books themselves were a huge step up! I enjoyed season on but it was a bit choppy at parts. Season 2 did a much better job of continually keeping the story flowing.

These books won’t be for everyone but I enjoyed them!

Hello, it’s me. I’m here to admit I have a problem…with not being able to stop listening to these audiobooks. The Marriage Auction Season 2 has me in a chokehold. It has everything I love:

💍instalove
💍action/suspenseful plot
💍multiple POVs with different narrators for all of them
💍emotions that pull at my heartstrings
💍an addictive story that makes me unable to stop reading
💍just the right level of steam and spice

What’s in these books that I can’t resist? I’ll never know, but I can’t get enough of this telenovela-esque story. Congratulations to the author for fully inhabiting my waking hours for the past week and for creating characters and plots that are so intriguing, I’m willing to do more chores to continue listening. All I know is I’m already ready for the next season. Latin Mafia, here we come.

I participated in the Kindle Vella reveal for this book and I'm so excited to promote the physical copy. "What would you do for three million dollars?" This book is full of romance, danger, family, friendship, and love as told through the stories of the women and men involved in the auction and the woman running the company. I love learning the back stories of what brings them to this point and seeing the growth as they adjust to their situations and learn to accept and possibly love their new connections. The writing is totally absorbing and had me captivated from beginning to end. I can't wait to read the rest of the series! The audiobook is fantastic and I loved every minute!!

The concept of auction that too for marriage 🤭🤌 that is so epic and cool. Billionaires who aren't able to find suitable mates or partners coming down to this solution. Damn! I am impressed.
There are numerous characters yet it didn't message up my listening experience as the characters are being potraited by different voice actors which was the best idea for this book i would say, one extra star for this idea .
Overall i enjoyed listening to it and now excited to listen the next book.

Thank you, NetGalley for this audiobook arc. Let me start off by saying, I absolutely loved the audio. The narrators in this book were fantastic each character, and there were a lot of them had their own voice, their own personality. It was highly entertaining and made me love reading the book so much more.! I love the author. I’ve read other series from her which I really enjoyed and I love this series as well. It is super spicy. It’s major drama. It actually reads the reality TV which I totally enjoy. There was so much wonderful character development, even though there was so many characters you never got lost with who was who and they were very lovable, and you wanted to care about each and everyone of them. I loved the Madame in the story. She was super fun. I loved Juliana and Giovanni. Their relationship was my favorite because of the trope enemies to lovers. I couldn’t wait for the cliffhanger to happen. I will continue to read more from this series and I highly recommend it. !

Audiobook Review

The Marriage Auction by Audrey Carlan
My rating:
4/5
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I really enjoyed this one! I loved how it had multiple narrators & many characters. It did take me some time to get familiar with the characters as there were so many but going into book 2 I can’t wait for the character development and the relationships between the characters to grow!

Listening to a spicy book on audio is sometimes a little cringey for me which is why I couldn’t give this a 5 star rating. Some of the terms used just made me uncomfortable and maybe were a little too much for my personal preference?

Overall I would definitely recommend this one and can’t wait to move on to audiobook #2 in the series! Thank you Brilliance audio and netgalley for the ARC!

TMA is back with a BANG baby! As a big fan of season one I have impatiently been awaiting season 2. I went in with all the hopes as a big fan of Audrey and was as always not disappointed one bit. We get some familiar faces from season one that TMA fans will be SO excited to see, and even more diverse representation in the auction pool and bidders this season. There’s men and women up for auction this season, POC bidders and entrants, mental health rep, and our Queen Miss Alana is also of course back too. I loved the switch up with genders in the bidders this season because it was really fun finally seeing a woman bidder. We are given anxiety rep that I really related to and I loved how different all the new characters were this go round. As a girl from the Emerald Triangle myself I was so excited to see someone rep my area! I can’t wait to watch everyone’s journey play out in the next few books.

Every time I read TMA I am fully invested in the characters in their first chapter. Audrey has a great way of giving you the set up stakes with the right amount of mystery and intrigue. She’s so good at letting you know who the character is in a way that feels really natural, while giving you a really thorough understanding of them and what makes them tick without feeling like an info dump. It’s easy to become endeared to them and you can’t help but want them to find love. This was absolutely the case here as it was for me in season one, you feel like you know and love them so fast which works well with the pacing of the auction process itself. You can’t help but mentally play matchmaker which is half the fun!

I want to make it clear that the biggest overarching theme in the auction itself is consent, and safety. It’s one of the reasons I love these books because Audrey takes the time to really show what true consent looks like and it allows you as a reader to fully let go and go along for the ride. For someone like myself these themes are a big draw for me as a reader and I love the emphasis on safety at every turn.

Book one will have you hooked and dying to know what happens next so make sure you have the next book handy! Book 1 gets you through the first quarter of the story for all of the characters so please note this is a 4 part book series being released all at once and you need to read them all for the full story. This is a SPICY spicy read, and I always suggest people read the CW/TW prior to reading. However let me be clear, it is a CONSENSUAL marriage auction set up between consenting adults in full awareness and in a very safe setting.

Narration: I really loved all of the narrators minus one. Seriously the whole cast was fantastic and I loved having a narrator per character, what a fantastic choice here where there’s so many characters to remember. It really helps make it very easy to distinguish them all from each other and keep their stories straight. However the voice actor for Jack was a really struggle for me when it comes to the accent, I know this character from the previous book but the name is pronounced differently (last season it was pronounced Jack here it was Yack/Yak?) and the accent ranges from sounding French to Scottish to Finnish? It was a bit confusing at times and threw me off from connecting the character from last season to this one with this new narrator. However I don’t have a single complaint about any of the other I believe 7 narrators, they truly were an absolute readers delight and I will definitely enjoy rereading with audio this fantastic!

Thank you so much Brilliance Audio for the ALC in exchange for my honest opinion.

I picked up "The Marriage Auction 2" without knowing much about it, solely drawn in by the all-star cast of narrators. With talents like Stephanie Rose, Lucy Rivers, Aiden Snow, and others, I just had to listen to this project. And wow, was I in for a treat!

This audiobook, set up like a reality show but tailored for the reader, immediately grabbed my attention. The character building is another work of art, drawing you into each storyline. Despite the multiple points of view, the narrative is easy to follow, and each character's voice is distinct and compelling.

I am so glad I have three more books to dive into because I don't want The Marriage Auction (TMA) Season 2 to end. The different storylines kept me engaged, and the twists and turns left me wanting to know what happened next. This book is a fantastic listen, and I'm thoroughly enjoying the journey.

I received an advanced copy from NetGalley to listen to and review; all thoughts and opinions are mine.

What a brilliant start to a series. Several characters narrated reach by their own narrator. I really liked this and each character's storyline. I can't wait to start book #2!

Many thanks to Net Galley and Brilliance Publishing for this highly entertaining audiobook ARC for an honest review.

When I say that I was so invested in the first season of the Marriage Auction, I am being literal. Like sitting on my bathroom floor until 3 in the morning to finish it kind of obsessed. The Marriage Auction 2 is no different. Four auctioneers, four main bidders, a Madam you can root for a system that seems ridiculous, but somehow works. Audrey Carlan is a master at writing characters you can't help but feel invested in.

Arguably my favorite couple is Julianne and Giovanni because it gives that enemies to lovers, best friends little sister plus family drama vibes. The cliffhanger took my breath away!

One thing I liked about Season 2 was the addition of Memphis, a man being auctioned to help his family out. Having both genders present gave the book more depth.

I thought the narrators did a great job and I appreciated the cast of narrators because there are so many different points of views in the story.

Thank you Brilliance Publishing for the gifted ALC. I was lucky enough to be approved for books 2 and 3, and I've already jumped head first into book 2!
