Hands down, Ms Scott is one of my favorite sweet rom com writers. I always get swept away in her stories, and this one was no different. This one is best read in a nice and cozy location, where you will not be disturbed, while enjoying your favorite hot beverage.
Heather is a single mom, betrayed by her cheating ex and trying to make a life for her and her son Nate. She has a lot of help from her friends and family, but she still has times of loneliness and doubting her self-worth. Then comes Rene, her sister's husband's best friend whose visiting from France for a few weeks. Rene appears to be the devil may care, flirty friend who only likes to have a good time, but he's got a heart of gold. He makes it his mission to show Heather how beautiful and special she is. And he does an excellent job of it, because while Heather is not ready to fall in love again, Rene seems to stir these feelings inside her she had thought long gone. While Heather first sees him as the enemy, they quickly grow to respect each other, and in turn allow their feelings for one another to grow as well.
Absolutely loved the story! I listened to this as an audiobook, which made the story even more enjoyable. The male voice did an excellent job with the French accent and really brought the characters he played to life. I didn't particularly care for the reading style of the female voice, but got used to it as the story progressed.
My thanks to NetGalley for providing a complimentary copy. This is my honest opinion.

He’s So Not My Valentine
Author: Savannah Scott
Romcom

Thank you Netgalley and Victory Editing for this Audio ARC! This was a cute romcom read. I really had a hard time with the male narrator but the female narrator was amazing. This is a cute holiday themed small town romance. Our FMC is raising her son on her own and recently divorced. She is also running an adorable coffee shop by herself, and she is certainly not in the mood for Valentine’s Day. Renee Dubois comes to visit her sister and her husband from France and oh boy he’s everything she could want in a man yet PROCEED WITH CAUTION! It was pretty funny and I adored both of the characters. This was a nice fluffy cute read. No spice, but still an enjoyable read. Save this one for February to get in the mood for Valentine’s Day! 💞

This book follows Heather who HATES Valentines Day and all the love that comes along with it. When her sister and her husband have a French friend come stay with them named Rene. Rene almost makes it his personal mission to make sure by the time her leaves that Heather understands how lovable she really is.

There is flirty banter, and two characters far from on the same page which leads to a few misunderstandings. Overall, I really didn't find this book to be an attention grabber. For me a book doesn't have to have crazy plot twists, or steamy romance scenes (although both are appreciated when there) but they have to have likable characters or a plot that really moves forward. This book just wasn't that for me. I don't know if I just wasn't in the right mindset for this book or what but I did not mess with the story. I normally don't might a little bit of cheesiness but this book was a little much for me. I normally really like Savannah Scott's books and will definitely pick up more of them but this one was not my favorite.

Thank you NetGalley for the opportunity to read this book.

He's So Not My Valentine by Savanna Scott is a great story. I listened to an audiobook, it was so well done and made the story come alive. I am a big fan of all the books I have read from Savannah.

I’m new to Savannah Scott’s books, but am quickly finding that I need to read more of them. Her books have heart, will make you laugh, and leave you happy. That was my experience with He’s So Not my Valentine.

Heather and Rene have one swoony love story. I think my favorite part of it all was how Rene constantly jumped in to help Heather however she needed the help. This book literally teaches that love knows no bounds. It’s found in the little things and isn’t always based on attraction, even though there is definitely attraction in this book.

The narration for this book was fantastic. I loved that it was a dual narration with both Heather and Rene getting a voice. It was made more fun with Rene having a French accent.

He’s So Not my Valentine is a great read for anyone who loves single parents, grand gestures, and swoony French men.

Thank you to NetGalley for the audiobook. These thoughts are my own.

*swoon* Dreamy Italian man and a previously burned by love single Mom. What is not to love about this entire scenario? It’s sweet and funny and a perfect book to curl up with your favorite tea!
The narrators did an awesome job! I love when they have different narrators for the different POVs.

I really enjoyed this book! I loved that the MMC Rene was such a sweet guy! He really did everything he could to understand, help, and love single mom Heather. She had sworn off men after her ex but Rene shows up with his French accent and his willingness to be the one she can depend on and how could she not fall? This was definitely a hallmark read! I loved the cozy coffee shop vibes and definitely recommend this book if you need a fun quick read!

The one thing I did not love was the narration! I am usually pretty easy to please but the French accent didn’t do it for me and I didn’t love the way they voiced the little boy. I would definitely suggest this as a physical or kindle read!

CW: Talks about past cheating, divorce, and single parenthood. Some kissing

He's So Not My Valentine by Savanna Scott was such a great story. I listened to an audiobook with dual narration by Amanda Friday and Tyler Hyrchuk. The narrators were really good and made the story so much impactful. I have loved all books I have read from Savannah and this one did not disappoint. I will definitely listen to more audiobooks from her in addition to reading all her books.

"There are many things I want to tell you, Heather. But I want you to know you have made your way deep into my heart, into a place no one has owned before. And you will now own that spot forever. It is yours alone."

"I thought I had to love America more than France to move here. It turns out I only had to love you more. And I love you so much more.”

Book Review:

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💫

It may not be Valentin’s Day, but there is no time constraint on romance!!!

Heather has been burned by love. After discovering her husband’s infidelity, she chose to focus all her attention on her son and work. While her family would love nothing more than for her to reopen her heart to love, she isn’t convinced. But when her brother-in-laws best friend, Rene, visits from France, he begins chipping away at the walls she has built.

Oh My Goodness!!! Savannah Scott penned the sweet romantic comedy, He’s So Not My Valentine. While I am sure this book would be amazing no matter what, the optimal format for consuming it has to be on audio.

This is by far the BEST audiobook I have ever listened to! Amanda Friday and Tyler Hyrchuk narrated the story. Their incredible talent catapulted it to a whole new realm. Special shout out to Hyrchuk whose French accent was chefs kiss.

I highly recommend giving this a listen if you enjoy:
-small town (Harvest Hallow)
-single mom FMC
-French MMC
-Dual POVs
-sweet, clean, and swoon worthy romances

Special thanks to Netgalley and Savannah Scott for allowing me to listen to this book in exchange for my honest feedback.

* This is a follow up to Scott’s book A Not So Fictional Fall featured in the multi- author/ interconnected series, Sweater Weather.

Slow burn romance between a coffee shop worker and a real estate French guy. This story will make you swoon and make you wish every man would act like a French man. This book can be a stand alone book but after reading other reviews I found out this book is a sequel to the book A Not So Fictional Fall. I wish I read that book first because I felt like I was miss out on something.

Return to Harvest Hollow! When I requested this audiobook on NetGalley, I didn’t know it was the sequel to Savannah Scott’s A Not So Fictional Fall from the super popular Sweater Weather series. I LOVED that series, so when I started listening and began recognizing names and places, I looked it up and found out this is the sequel to Pierre and Tasha’s story. He’s So Not My Valentine is the story of Tasha’s sister, Heather, and Pierre’s best friend from France, Rene.

This was an easy listen for me – sweet, low-angst, entertaining, and of course, swoony. The narrators were wonderful and easy to listen to, although the kid voice for Nate made me laugh. I loved the male narrator’s accent, though! Rene’s transformation from typical lifelong bachelor to family man was really so satisfying – I loved Nate’s interactions with him. The ending (I won’t say more as I don’t want to spoil anything!) made me giddy to read. A fun return to Harvest Hollow and characters I’ve already met in other books. He’s So Not My Valentine can definitely be read as a standalone, but it’s a lot of fun to read it as part of the entire Sweater Weather series, too.

Read if you like:

- Sweet and swoony kisses
- A charming and caring MMC
- Chemistry!
- Dual POV
- Duet Narration

Sweet contemporary romance. This is my first book by this author and I really enjoyed it. I will be adding more of her books to my TBR

My, oh my! What a delightfully swoony & sweet romance! This is the first audio book that I have listened to in duet narration. This is when all of the male lines are read by a male narrator and all of the female lines are read by a female narrator. Back and forth within the chapter, the narration switches between male and female voices. I wasn’t sure how I was going to like it. But I really did! It was so fun to listen to!

Single mom, Heather, had a crushing heartbreak in her past, with a spouse who cheated on her and then deserted her. She has a fun little boy, caring family members, and a job she enjoys, but she is determined to not allow her heart to be bruised again. No dating for her!

Rene, best friend to Heather’s French brother-in-law, seems to be flirty and easygoing. And, he is a bit of those things. But he is also very perceptive to people’s feelings and is especially drawn to Heather in a way that he has never been drawn to another woman.

I loved the way these two communicated. At all stages of their getting to know each other and growing closer, they were up front about expectations and concerns. It was so refreshing that Rene really understood what Heather needed emotionally. He offered her the care and adoration that she had never truly experienced from a man and as he did so, he fell for her even more! I loved this story from start to finish!

I received complimentary copy of this book. All opinions are my own.

The perfect Valentines Day story. The narrator’s did such a great job bring Pierre and Heather to life. I absolutely LOVED the double narration. It really makes you feel like you’re listening to a movie. I loved the dynamic between Pierre and Heather and how they were unsure about a relationship since they didn’t live on the same continent. Nate was so stinking cute also. I loved coming back to Harvest Hollow.

Thank you to #NetGalley for the Audio ARC. Enjoyed this ARC so much. A very cute story of finding love in the most unlikely places.

I really enjoyed this one. It was romantic and sweet. This would make a fun Hallmark movie.
I have read the first book A Not So Fictional Fall and fell in love with Harvest Hollow and the people who lived there. So it was fun to check in on some of the familiar characters. This can be read as a stand alone without missing too much.
I was worried there wouldn’t be a happy ever after due to the characters living in separate countries, but I was so content with the ending.
The plot was fun, the characters were great- I can’t wait for more from this author
I listened to this on audio and I LOVED the dual narration. They did a good job with the French accent (not horribly overdone). I do listen at a slightly faster speed.

Life hasn't treated Hearther fairly. She has been raising her eight years old son alone after her husband cheating on her. That's the reason she doesn't believe in romance nor in Saint Velentine. Can a charming frenchman changer her mind and her heart and help her find happines and love again? The audiobbok with the dual narration between Amanda Friday and Tyler Hyrchuck makes a great story even better

It was an enjoyable listen!
The narrators were entertaining and easy to listen to.
Heather and Rene were sweet and I was invested in them overcoming the difficulties of differences and distance.
I liked revisiting Tasha and Pierre, and Nate was great for a chuckle.
