My, oh my! What a delightfully swoony & sweet romance! This is the first audio book that I have listened to in duet narration. This is when all of the male lines are read by a male narrator and all of the female lines are read by a female narrator. Back and forth within the chapter, the narration switches between male and female voices. I wasn’t sure how I was going to like it. But I really did! It was so fun to listen to!
Single mom, Heather, had a crushing heartbreak in her past, with a spouse who cheated on her and then deserted her. She has a fun little boy, caring family members, and a job she enjoys, but she is determined to not allow her heart to be bruised again. No dating for her!
Rene, best friend to Heather’s French brother-in-law, seems to be flirty and easygoing. And, he is a bit of those things. But he is also very perceptive to people’s feelings and is especially drawn to Heather in a way that he has never been drawn to another woman.
I loved the way these two communicated. At all stages of their getting to know each other and growing closer, they were up front about expectations and concerns. It was so refreshing that Rene really understood what Heather needed emotionally. He offered her the care and adoration that she had never truly experienced from a man and as he did so, he fell for her even more! I loved this story from start to finish!
I received complimentary copy of this book. All opinions are my own.

The perfect Valentines Day story. The narrator’s did such a great job bring Pierre and Heather to life. I absolutely LOVED the double narration. It really makes you feel like you’re listening to a movie. I loved the dynamic between Pierre and Heather and how they were unsure about a relationship since they didn’t live on the same continent. Nate was so stinking cute also. I loved coming back to Harvest Hollow.

Thank you to #NetGalley for the Audio ARC. Enjoyed this ARC so much. A very cute story of finding love in the most unlikely places.

I really enjoyed this one. It was romantic and sweet. This would make a fun Hallmark movie.
I have read the first book A Not So Fictional Fall and fell in love with Harvest Hollow and the people who lived there. So it was fun to check in on some of the familiar characters. This can be read as a stand alone without missing too much.
I was worried there wouldn’t be a happy ever after due to the characters living in separate countries, but I was so content with the ending.
The plot was fun, the characters were great- I can’t wait for more from this author
I listened to this on audio and I LOVED the dual narration. They did a good job with the French accent (not horribly overdone). I do listen at a slightly faster speed.

Life hasn't treated Hearther fairly. She has been raising her eight years old son alone after her husband cheating on her. That's the reason she doesn't believe in romance nor in Saint Velentine. Can a charming frenchman changer her mind and her heart and help her find happines and love again? The audiobbok with the dual narration between Amanda Friday and Tyler Hyrchuck makes a great story even better

It was an enjoyable listen!
The narrators were entertaining and easy to listen to.
Heather and Rene were sweet and I was invested in them overcoming the difficulties of differences and distance.
I liked revisiting Tasha and Pierre, and Nate was great for a chuckle.

- Final Rating: 5 stars
- Short Overview: Heather is a single mom in the small town of Harvest Hollow. When Frenchman Rene Dubois comes to Harvest Hollow from France to spend time with his best friend, he realizes that his best friend’s wife’s sister is a strong independent woman who doesn’t believe that Love is worth the time. Rene is convinced that he can help show Heather that she is worth love and affection, and not just from her 8 year old son.
- Tropes:
- single mom
- Sworn off relationships
- Small town
- Strong, independent woman
- He just knows
- Reluctant to fall
- Sweet
- Only kisses
- A Side Note: This is one of the most realistically written children, in this case 8 year old Nate, I have read. It was a lot of fun to see Nate and how he was written into the story and how that affected the main characters.
- I listened to this as an audiobook with dual narration by Amanda Friday and Tyler Hyrchuk.
duo narrators
*Note: Narrators have different cadences and I decided to change speed to keep the cadence as close to the same as I could.
- Male narrator: French Accent
- Female narrator: American Accent
- These voices fit the characters so well! I’m not used to French accents so it took me a little bit to understand but not so much that I was pulled from the story. The narrators have great inflection and emotion and it feels as though you are following their journey throughout the story.
*I received a copy of this audiobook from NetGalley and the publisher. All opinions are my own and no positive review was required.*

Savannah Scot has a knack for drawing you into her stories, you find your self feeling the emotions of her characters, and not in a superficial way. I was laughing, I was crying, I enjoyed every minute of this book.
The Audiobook features dual narration which is spot on, I love hearing the two voices of a story. I also love how it was not instalove, it grew from a healthy and respectful place.

I loved thi silly sweet audiobook so much! It was ridiculous. I kept picturing the prince in the Princess and the Frog. It was just so much fun and I loved the narrators.

Savannah Scott's writing is so great and she writes such swoony romances! I found this audiobook to be short and sweet and very entertaining. I did find the French accent to be a bit distracting to listen to at times but that was more of a personal preference.

This was really sweet! I love a man that pushes past a woman’s defenses in the name of love. Rene is a charmer but Heather quickly discovers there’s so much more to him than that and that he is more than his accent. He works hard to “woo” her and show her he can be trusted. The ending was extra sweet; talk about a grand gesture!

☕cozy coffee shop
☕single mom
☕friends to lovers
☕Valentine's Day pessimists
Rene is kind of a romantic at heart since he is French and all *wink wink* but he doesn't fully believe in Valentine's Day. Heather is against all things romance and thinks she's destined to be alone forever. That is until a romantic flirty Frenchman visits and all but does his best to make her feel otherwise. Wanting to show her how a woman should be treated, Rene does his best to not only "woo" her but make her realize that she is indeed worth any man's attention...preferably his!
What can possibly go wrong?

Heather is a woman who has been burned by love. Heather is living her best life running the Coffee shop and raising her son and hating Valentine's day. She depends on her sister and love that she has found a good life with Pierre. Rene is a Frenchman coming to visit his best friend Pierre in Catachloochee. Pierre can't get over how burned Heather is and agrees to show her just what romance is and how a woman should be treated...even if it can only last until Valentine's day.
This story is a dual narration with the characters going back and forth through the whole story, as if watching a play. The narrators were amazing and easy to listen to. I felt they did the French accents well and it helps with the story and Pierre being from France. The story flows well and the narrators did an amazing job going back and forth. It was seamless, like listening to people have the conversation in front of you or that you were sitting in the coffee shop with them. Even when they changed voices for Nate, the child, it flowed well. This was an enjoyable listen!
The story itself is sweet and full of love between the sisters and the friends. Heather was so afraid to be treated poorly again, it takes her awhile to agree to let Pierre help her. Pierre is so charismatic and loveable, it makes it easy to see how he fits into the friend and family dynamics. You don't want to miss this story and these wonderful narrators.

Five HUGE Star Closed-Door Romance
I really enjoyed this single mom romance. Heather is a single mom and the manager of the local coffee shop. Rene is a Frenchman in Real Estate visiting his best friend and his wife in North Carolina. Happens that Rene's best friend is married to Heather's sister. This book has humor and love and life learning. I absolutely recommend it and anything else written by Savannah Scott.
Thank you to NetGalley, Victory Editing NetGalley Co-Op, and the author for the opportunity to listen to and review this book.

I didn't realize I'd read the first book of this series but it was nice to revisit some old friend characters. I didn't feel this one as much as the others I've read by this author but maybe because I'm a bit too much like the MCs. Overall the nice, pleasant, feel good read.

When I first started this book I was a little confused about Rene’s accent (I listened to the audiobook) but after I found out he’s french I understood everything. So I’m going to talk a little about Rene and his ways before meeting Heather. I like when a guy who thinks he’s the perfect bachelor and that life is all he needs usually ends up not only being in love but changing everything for that woman! That says something about that character.
Heather is a single mom and her focus is on her son. But I liked how she knew her worth. I liked that she somehow wanted more but didn’t knew how to accomplish that. The struggle is real even if you are a character in a book. She seems more real.
For me it was a great audiobook and I loved it!
Thank you, Netgalley, Victory Editing and Savannah Scott for this audiobook! This is my honest review!❤️

He’s So Not my Valentine by Savannah Scott
This was a light hearted cute romance about a single mom and a Frenchman who fall in love while he is vacationing in the states. There is a problem though, they live in separate countries. So why should they keep seeing each other knowing they will have to say goodbye? That is the struggle.
I enjoyed listening to the audiobook and thought the story was sweet. This is only my second audio book that I’ve listened to so I’m not sure if it’s just me… but the female narrator had an irritating way of ending each sentence. The male narrator, French accent and all, I would have thought I’de be “swooned” but nope didn’t do anything for me.
3 1/2 ⭐️ rounded up to 4 ⭐️
Thank you NetGalley for an advanced copy of the audiobook in exchange for my honest review.

Another fun return to the charming town of Harvest Hollow. In Savannah Scott’s He’s So Not My Valentine, we follow single mother Heather as she navigates life including caring for her son Nate and running Cataloochee Coffee, a town staple. Her plate is full, and falling in love is the last thing on her mind. She doesn’t have time to date, she barely has time for self-care. But when Rene, a charming and flirty Frenchmen, also her brother-in-law’s best friend comes for a visit for a few weeks, she learns how it feels when someone puts her first.
He's So Not My Valentine is a stand-alone sequel to A Not So Fictional Fall, which is a part of the sweet, charming, entertaining, closed-door romcom Sweater Weather series.
The audiobook is a duet narration by Amanda Friday and Tyler Hyrchuk. Both did an amazing job bringing these characters to life.
If you’re looking for a light, fun, quick read (or listen) I highly recommend you pick up this book.
Thank you to Victor Editing NetGalley Co-op for the arc in exchange for my honest opinion.

3.5 Stars!
He’s So Not My Valentine is a suite, feel good romance that offers an enjoyable escape into a charming, small town where love finds its way unexpectedly.
Heather is a single parent and manager of a coffee house. She was burned in a previous relationship and doesn’t have time for love or a relationship.
Rene lives in France and decides to visit his best friend Pierre in North Carolina. He sees Heather again and wants her to see her worth. He starts by helping her in the Cafe every morning and their relationship grows from there.
What you’ll find:
A darling son Nate!
Dual POV
Small town

He falls first!
This book is highly popular and I’m sure this is just a me issue, but I didn’t feel emotionally connected with the characters. It was a sweet story.
I listened to the audio which had duet readers. I LOVE a good dual POV audio, but this duet format took a little getting used to. It initially felt a little choppy to me. Overall good readers though.
Romance content: Just kissing
Thank you Victory Editing NetGalley Co-op for my #gifted audio copy.

This is the first Savannah Scott that didn’t hit for me. It was just okay. Maybe her other books set too high of expectations, I’m not sure. I loved the single mom aspect but the French piece just felt like too much. I guess I liked the FMC but I didn’t like the MMC. Maybe it’s a personal preference thing, again, I don’t know! I just know that I had high hopes for this one and it didn’t really hit them.
