I LOVE WHEN SINGLE MOM’S WIN AT LIFE. Especially with hot French men.
This was better than I expected and more than I knew I wanted. The dual narration was so fun, but I was a little thrown off at first by the heavy French accent. It grew on me though! Rene was so dreamy and I couldn’t help but feel shy and giggly listening to him. I AM A FOOL FOR A FOREIGN MAN.
This was my first Savannah Scott book and I am easily a new fan! I didn’t have any complaints about this book. It was darn near perfect. Sometimes you just need a sweet clean romance.
Thanks so much NetGalley and Victory Editing NetGalley Co-op for the eARC.

He’s So Not My Valentine is the much-anticipated sequel to Savannah Scott’s A Not So Fictional Fall. The story is a closed-door romantic comedy set in Harvest Hollow, North Carolina, featuring a love-burned single mom. The book is told in dual POV, and the audiobook is performed by dual narrators.
Heather is the manager of the Cataloochee Coffee Shop in Harvest Hollow, North Carolina, which is the setting for the Sweater Weather series. Heather is the older sister of Tasha, who was the heroine in A Not So Fictional Fall. Tasha fell in love with a French author, Pierre Toussaint, who wrote bestselling romance novels under the pseudonym Amelie De Pierre. Pierre’s best friend, Rene, is a successful real estate agent in Avignon, France.
He’s So Not My Valentine takes place approximately 18 months after the ending of A Not So Fictional Fall. A pregnant Tasha and husband, Pierre, convince Rene to visit them in North Carolina. Rene is realizing that he doesn’t enjoy the single life now as much as he did when he was in his 20s and decides three weeks in the United States will be the break he needs.
Heather has no room or time for romance in her life. Her ex-husband broke her heart when he cheated on her and abandoned her and their two-year-old son. She has worked her way up to manager at the Cataloochee Coffee Shop and enjoys the freedom that the aging owners have given her. She is raising her eight-year-old son, Nathan, with assistance from her parents and younger sister, Tasha. Right now she is concerned that her job is in jeopardy if the coffee shop is sold.
Rene hangs out at the coffee shop during the day while Tasha and Pierre are busy with their jobs. He’s attracted to Heather and admires her work ethic and dedication to her family. He doesn’t understand why she seems to dislike him, not realizing that his flirtatiousness reminds her of her cheating ex-husband. When two employees quit with no notice, he jumps in and helps Heather. Rene’s personality and Nate’s enthusiasm wear down Heather, and she falls for Rene. The biggest problem is that Rene is only in the United States for three weeks so he doesn’t have much time to win over Heather.
I was so excited that the author wrote Heather and Rene’s love story after their appearances in A Not So Fictional Fall. They are realistic characters with challenges. The chemistry between Heather and Rene is very different from that of Tasha and Pierre. As with A Not So Fictional Fall, I enjoyed the many French phrases sprinkled throughout the book and the overall niceness of the characters. He’s So Not My Valentine is definitely a 5-star sweet romantic comedy.
The audiobook is narrated by Amanda Friday and Tyler Hyrchuk, with all of the female characters portrayed by Friday and the male characters by Hyrchuk. Hyrchuk does an exceptional job speaking with a French accent for all of Rene and Pierre’s parts. His rendition of 8-year-old Nate sounds like a young teen; this part would have been better with a female narrator. Friday’s portrayal of the female characters isn’t as rich as other audiobook narrators I have listened to. Her voice sounds like the generic SnapChat voice, not a woman who has never been outside of North Carolina. It might be a technical issue with the speed of her recording, rather than her actual voice. With that, I award 5+ stars to the male narrator and 3 stars to the female narrator, with an overall rating of 4 stars.
I purchased a paperback copy of this book when it was first released. Recently I received an Advance Review Copy (ARC) audiobook from NetGalley and Victory Editing NetGalley Co-op for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

Thankyou Netgalley and Savannah Scott for allowing me to review this audiobook of He's So Not My Valentine. What a great story. I loved how strong and amazing Heather is, her reluctance to let herself feel again completely understandable and relatable. I enjoyed the story very much but did struggle with the voice actor for Rene. Even though I struggled with the voice of Rene I love how each character was voiced by either male or female voice actors depending on there gender it was a lovely production and really added to the story.

When I read the ebook, I mostly enjoyed it, but Heather complained too much for me to fully enjoy it. I have listened to the audiobook now, and I liked Heather as the narrator performed her. She sounded less complaining and more resigned and a bit scared. I liked the male narrator, too. And I enjoyed the duet performance very much. It is a fun, clean listen.

I listened to the audiobook and loved it too much since it is a complete cast and being able to hear the voices of all the characters is something that I love.
The book was super sweet, cute, swoony and romantic, I lovd everithing about this book and the characters, the way the romance was blooming, the feeling seen as a woman, the second chance at love, every single part of this book was lovely.
You really need to listen to this book.

Being a diehard no men allowed kinda woman, when a Frenchman arrives on scene she is no different. Until he proves all her facts wrong.
I absolutely adore this book and author. However, The woman who is narrating ruined the book for me. Her tone of voice wa grating. She was talking like she was speaking to small children. It was a different way of narrating a book it was like the sentences never ended. It was hard for me to keep listening to this wonderful listening to the female narrator. But I did it because I enjoyed the book. The gentleman reading was great. I enjoyed how they read there parts even when it wasn’t “their” chapter.
So all in all I give the book itself 5 stars, the male narrator 5 stars (wonderful French accent), and the female narrator 0 stars. Average rating 3 star as overall.
I received a complementary copy of this book. I was not required to write a positive review. The opinion I have given is my own. I am disclosing this according to the guidelines.

This is a light-hearted novel that makes you believe that wishes do come true.
Many thanks to Net Galley and Victory Editing Netgalley Co-op for an audio ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Sweet, uncomplicated romance. The main character, a single mother with an 8- year old son has been burned before by her cheating ex-husband. So she’s not about to trust her heart to her brother-in-law’s best friend who’s visiting North Carolina for 3 weeks. However, the attraction is too strong to ignore, and, as expected, she gets her HEA.

I absolutely loved this as an audiobook. It was so so nice to be back in Harvest Hollow. The narrators were great and it truly felt like I was with them making coffee at Cataloochee!
He’s So Not My Valentine is the stand-alone sequel to A Not So Fictional Fall. He his brother and his love interest in ANSFF, so if you want to see how they got together before reading about Rene then totally read ANSFF first. But by no means do you have too to love and enjoy this story!!
