The Mango Monster is such a sweet story. I love how creative the children are when trying to find ways to catch a monster that the neighbor describes. And I love how the neighborhood seems to have a tradition of donating extra mangoes to the community and to those in need. The colorful illustrations are wonderful and I loved searching the artwork for little hints throughout the story. Can't wait to read this one with little ones, it's a beautiful story of generosity and definitely worth sharing.
The Mango Monster lead us through the critical thinking of two girls trying to catch a fruit thief. While wordy at points, especially in some of the dialogue, the storyline was sound.
The hidden tail of the mango monster on the pages was a very cute idea! My 5yr old daughter enjoyed looking for it!
The illustration was unique and well done. We enjoyed that the illustrations took up the whole page and really helped to tell the story.
What an ADORABLE kids book! My four kids absolutely loved this fun book. The illustrations were adorable and the main character was precious.
Such a sweet story! Set in a backyard garden, our main character and her cousin determined to catch whatever is stealing their family’s mangoes! They have some creative solutions and eventually catch an unlikely predator. The illustrations are colourful and the colour palette works very well for this warm, light tale about harvesting a mango tree.
