What started as an easy day of fly fishing for Guy Hogan turned into a day of finding a dead man, a woman who he would try to save from poachers which turned out to have many different people involved. The story became intense at times and at other times just trying to figure out who were the bad people. All of the characters were excellent for the story as were the descriptions of the forest. I enjoyed everything about this book a really good mystery along with the fishing.

I really loved the characters in this book, and the setting is well-written. I pictured everything in my mind as it happened, and kept turning the pages. The mystery and suspense are great, and mystery and outdoor lovers will enjoy it.

Thank you NetGalley and Kevin Wolf for the ARC of Trailridge. This is the first book I have read in the Guy Hogan series and I will read the others. I found this murder mystery interesting and entertaining. Guy Hogan is fly fishing when he finds a body. This discovery drops Guy into a dangerous game with poachers, mysterious women, double crossers, and nature.

When Guy Hogan sets about fly fishing for the day the last thing he intends to come upon is a dead man in the river. To make matters more interesting, not only does he find a dead guy but a young woman who is not what she seems. Through the book an unlikely friendship forms between Guy and the young woman as they try to solve a mystery and escape murdering poachers.

I have a varied catalog of genres that I tend to choose from when picking up a new book, but I always love a good murder mystery and especially one set in the wild yonder. This was a fun, thrilling read and I couldn't put it down once I started.

Thank you to NetGalley for access to this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

An exciting life this old man leads. Don't know how old he is, but his poor body takes a beating and keeps on going. He does have adult children. He catches more than fish in this tale. It kept me turning the pages. Thanks for providing a copy via NetGalley. My review is voluntary.

Guy Hogan and his wife planned to share their dream home in Colorado but cancer his took her from him. The mountains became his refuge and each day he hoped the next cast of his flyrod will chase away his loneliness! Then he finds a man's body in his favorite trout stream! Good book! This book had wonderful characters, suspense, intrigue, action, mystery, murder, poachers, and a few twists and turns! The ending was great too! The story was very interesting and kept me glued to my kindle! I definitely recommend reading this book! Thank you NetGalley and the publisher for sharing this book with me!
