If Molly the Maid is involved, a true adventure is sure to unfold. In “The Mistletoe Mystery”, we have an adventure of a different kind. ‘Tis the season of merriment, gift giving, friends and family, so why is Molly feeling so blue? Things don’t seem right in her tidy little world. Her beloved Juan Manuel is up to no good and she misses her granny, but the effervescent, ever-responsible Molly carries on and finds many surprises are in store for her.

This little gem of a book will bring you the warm fuzzies and you’ll be smiling from ear to ear when it’s over. I will never tire of Molly the Maid and her cohorts and will await the next book with bated breath. Thank you, NetGalley and Random House Publishing Group - Ballantine for the advanced reader copy.

A short novel, about half size, to celebrate Molly's Christmas. She doesn't feel a lot like celebrating. Her Gran used to make Christmas so special for the two of them, and now that Gran is gone, it's just not what it used to be. However, she has Juan, who now is her live-in fella. He's acting in a rather suspicious manner lately and she just knows he's up to no good. As usual, Molly has a saying from her Gran for every occasion. And she does get a lot of support from Mr. Preston and Angela at the hotel. Cheryl, on the other hand, is still Cheryl, sloughing off every chance she can find.

Thank you to Random House Publishing Group - Ballantine and NetGalley for the ARC of this book.

I loved visiting Molly's world again. This was a short and sweet novella that sets the scene for a very important time in Molly's life. Molly is her same quirky self and we get to know Juan Manuel a little bit better as well. As always there's a little mystery that Molly is on a mission to figure out. And the usual cast of Regency Grand characters make an appearance. If you love Molly's world, definitely pick this one up!

I was thrilled to see my approval for an ARC of The Mistletoe Mystery and this short novella is quite heartwarming! Molly the head maid is back, and story #2.5 gives us a glimpse into her relationship with Juan Manuel and the mystery she must solve when he starts acting strangely. I admit this book made me both smile and tear up with the ending, having lost my grandmother just last year. I loved this one, especially when Molly recognizes what Gran always knew in the final chapter. There is also nothing like reading a Christmas time story, even in August! Thanks to NetGalley and Random House Publishing-Ballantine for an ARC in exchange for my honest review. All opinions are my own. Rating: 5 stars Publication Date: October 1, 2024

This was SO FUN! I love Molly & this series so I was excited whenever I got approved for the ARC. It was a bit predictable, but honestly worth it with how short it was. Plus it was a cozy little Christmas time mystery.

I just can’t quit Molly and this was an enjoyable, albeit light continuation into her journey. The storyline was a bit predictable, but it kept my interest.

Synopsis: Everyone’s favorite maid, Molly, is back in this novella. It’s Christmas time and her boyfriend is acting mysterious, and like always, she must solve the mystery.
Pros/cons: Short and sweet! This is a lighthearted series and this story itself was predictable but nonetheless cute.
Make sure you read the others first, then check this out when it’s released October 1. Thanks NetGalley!

OKAYYYYY. I wish I had known this was a 2.5 going into the mini-book. I was all geared up for some murder and case solving! I loved seeing Molly and her beau go through actual relationship issues. This left me completely ready for the third installment!

Nite Prose is an auto-purchase for me -- Such fun characters!

“The Mistletoe Mystery” is a must-read for fans of Molly the Maid! This heartwarming Christmas story shows the journey of love and the true meaning of gift-giving. This mystery is a bit different than the previous books. This story focuses more on Molly’s life and her suspicions of Juan Manuel and their life together. There is not a murder or case that Molly solves in the typical sense. It was great to be back at the Regency Grand with the cast of familiar characters. I can’t wait for the next installment!

Many thanks to the publisher and NetGalley for the opportunity to read this book.

I really enjoyed The Maid when it came out. I found Molly endearing and loved the mystery of that book. I also read The Mystery Guest and enjoyed that one, even though it was a bit of a repeat of the first. This new book is short at 128 pages, and reads within a couple hours, which makes for a quick holiday read...but I found myself annoyed.

Molly seemed overworked and very cliche in being a neurodivergent character. She was constantly quoting her grandmother and her love for Juan started to feel sappy. The plot wasn't all that strong and for me it was pretty obvious where it was going.

Thank you to NetGalley and Ballantine for the complimentary e-copy of this book.

I have loved getting to know Molly and all the people at the Regency Grand. This was a fun, holiday novella. When her boyfriend, Juan starts acting a little strange, Molly begins to suspect he might be disenchanted with her. Is Molly right, or will this be a Christmas she will never forget?

I really enjoy the Molly the Maid series and I absolutely loved this Molly the Maid and Juan Manuel novella.
It's Christmas time and Molly misses her Gran. Juan Manuel tries to make this Christmas extra special for her and acts very suspiciously. There is a new mystery for Molly to solve.
This novella was such a fun cozy read.
I am looking forward to the next book in the series.

I was super excited to see that Nita Prose wrote a Maid novella. “The Mistletoe Mystery”, a short story is filled with misunderstandings and mischief as well as heartwarming romance. This installment delves deeper into Molly's relationship with her Gran, adding a nice touch to the story. While the plot was somewhat predictable early on, following Molly as she unraveled the mystery was still engaging. I really enjoyed getting a peek into Molly and Juan’s relationship. Getting a glimpse into the dynamic between Molly and Juan is endearing and adds depth to the series as they navigate their relationship. This is such a fun series filled with terrific characters. The holiday setting and intimate nature of the mystery create a cozy atmosphere that aligns well with the tone of the series. I highly recommend reading books one and two prior to this installment for the best understanding of the characters and their relationships with each other. Any fan of Molly the Maid should give this novella a read this coming holiday season. I see that Nita is coming out with the 3rd book in the Molly the Maid series and I can’t wait! Thanks to Netgalley, Nita Prose, Random House Publishing and Ballantine Books for an e-arc in exchange for my thoughts.

Received this ARC from NetGalley. Always fun to return to the world of Molly the Maid. This is a delightful little story. I enjoyed my time at the Regency Grand and I even more enjoy Molly as her character continues to develop and grow. Would recommend for a great, heartwarming story with a touch of the Holiday spirit.

3.5*s These characters are endearing and this was a charming and significant moment in their story. Only downsides were a lack of clarity from where the second book ended and the absence of any traditional mystery.

3.5. it’s a very Molly Christmas at the hotel, but what happens when her beloved Juan Manuel starts acting sketchy? Is Angela gas lighting her? A fun and short novella for the holidays

Molly the Maid is back in this murder-free, Christmas-themed novella. While there are no dead bodies involved in this story, there is a mystery. It involves Molly’s boyfriend Juan Manuel, the love of her life. But Juan has been acting in mysterious ways this Christmas, and Molly is afraid he may be moving on. At Christmastime, no less, the favorite time of year for her beloved Gran. So what will this Christmas bring? This book is a delight to read.
4/5 stars

Who doesnt love a holiday mystery? I loved this it was short and sweet and our hero of course solved the case all while keeping her wits about her. I love that Juan truly wanted to make her happy and carried on all the traditions that her grandmother had done each year with her. It was a bit more romcom than mystery and honestly that was fine with me I want Molly to find all the happiness in the world. I also want her to solve some more mysteries so hopefully we get more books in this series.

4 🌟 Read
The Mistletoe Mystery
By: Nita Prose

Molly the maid manages to win us over once again with the sweet, heart warming, Christmas short.

It reminded me of every Christmas tv special from my childhood. When all the sitcoms would have a holiday episode full of silly misunderstandings, forgiveness, dreams coming true, and the true meaning of Christmas.

Thank you netgalley for the opportunity to read this ARC
