Another fun adventure with Molly the Maid! This novella was a perfect December read for me.

I just love Molly. Her quirks and attention to detail make her such a unique character.

This story holds a secret that Molly can’t figure out. She knows something is up, but what?

This story ends with a touching event that brings everyone at the Regency Grand together.

This is a quick read that will make you smile.

I’m a little late with this one, but I absolutely loved this holiday novella featuring Molly the Maid. This was such a sweet story that made me smile and tear up. Now that the holidays are over, I’m even more eager to read the next Maid Mystery.

Thank you to the publisher and NetGalley for this ebook.

I am a huge Molly the Maid fan and was rather excited when this was announced. It lived up to my hopes! As a reader, I appreciate how much Nita Prose values fans. She knew we’d want to hear a little insight to Molly’s Christmas and wedding. Rather than making us wait and including it in a novel, she released this perfectly timed novella.

Don’t expect as much suspense and action as the full length stories, but do expect for it to satisfy your curiosity and make you reconnect with Molly!

A Christmas novella with Molly the Maid! I thought this was a great addition (not a stand alone) to the Maid series. However, do not go into this expecting a full fledged mystery. I felt it was more about the romance than the mystery. Still a very cozy Christmas read and I definitely recommend if you are a fan of Molly.

While cozier and more light-hearted than the previous novels, this novella was a sweet holiday semi-mystery. I again, loved the voice and perspective of Molly and this glimpse into her personal life.

I gobbled this cute little book up. I loved the story of Molly and Juan and the mystery that unfolded between them in the sweetest way. I thought the way that Nita Prose worked in the Advent calendar with Molly’s grandma and then Juan continuing the tradition was such a heartwarming and festive part of the story.
Highly recommend this novella to any Molly the Maid fans.

A nice addition to Molly’s story as she navigates her relationship with Juan Manuel and her job at the Regency Grand Hotel.

What a disappointing addition to the beloved Molly the Maid series. While previous novels captivated readers with their charming protagonist and intriguing mysteries, this holiday novella feels like a lackluster attempt to capitalize on the series' success.
The story centers on Molly and her boyfriend Juan Manuel during the Christmas season, exploring her anxieties about their relationship. However, the "mystery" is underwhelming and predictable. Sadly, I found the novella to be more of an unnecessary interruption to the series rather than a meaningful addition.

This was such a fun novella! I love Molly!

Christmas has been hard for Molly since her Gram passed and she lost her partner in all her favorite holiday traditions, but her love, Juan Manual, is determined to give her a wonderful Christmas.

Juan Manuel goes above and beyond to give her a great holiday, but something suspicious is going on and Molly is determined to get to the bottom of it!

As usual, this book is filled with laugh out loud humor, and it is the perfect book to get into the holiday spirit!

This novella within the Molly the Maid series is the perfect, quick Christmas read! I love when series have novellas, much less seasonal ones. In this new installment in the series we follow Molly and her love for the holidays, previously stuffed to the brim with traditions shared with her Gran. Like many, the holidays without her have changed in mood, but with Juan now at her side, this season is looking up to be unlike no other. We follow the new and old traditions crafted by the pair as well as a Secret Santa exchange that is occurring at their work, the Regency Grand Hotel. Through the course of the season, Molly becomes suspicious of some events around her, and she resists the urge to fall into total mistrust based on her judgments, but luckily more is amuck than she could ever dream of.

I will say- I honestly had no idea where this story was taking me. Like and unlike a cozy, the mystery in this story was much much MUCH more lighthearted than a typical thriller, but also much more subdued than a cozy mystery, which still often has its own fair share of murder. With that, I was not completely enthralled and sucked into the world. I did enjoy the conversations around the holidays without family members who have passed, and all the cozy traditions. I also really enjoyed how things did wrap up, even if the middle dragged a bit.

I would say that if you are someone who is very invested in this series and characters this would be a very enjoyable novella, but if you felt meh about the other books or just were not overly invested in the characters, this might not be satisfying as it is much less about a large mystery, but more character driven with a smaller mystery afoot.

Thank you to Random House Publishing and Netgalley for an early copy of this title in exchange for an honest review!

I really enjoyed the first two Maid books however this Christmas edition didn't really do it for me. It sort of felt like one of those 90's sitcom capers where you knew what was going to happen from the minute it started.

It was nice to revisit the characters and see them in a holiday edition but it wasn't really my favorite. Felt like it had to be a novella because there wasn't much of a story there to begin with.

Molly the maid will forever intrigue me, but it was really easy to see where this one was going. Not sure it needed to be a short story, but I’m also glad it was just a short story instead of an entire book with this plot.

A sweet and quick read on Molly's magical Christmas times. Speaking to the small moments and memories with loved ones who can make the greatest moments of magic was a beautiful concept indeed. It is easy to resonate with Molly's joy in the beginning and at the end. Her trepidation about Juan's behavior, however, was difficult to resonate with, given it was somewhat evident how much he adored her. That said, perhaps not everyone can read another person too well. It was a sweet story with an expected end, but fit the script for a cozy read during the holidays!

Nita Prose delivers another captivating tale with The Mistletoe Mystery, blending charm, intrigue, and a festive holiday backdrop. Set in a picturesque, snow-draped town, the story revolves around a seemingly innocent Christmas gathering that takes a dark turn when a mysterious disappearance unfolds.

Prose masterfully combines a cozy holiday atmosphere with a compelling mystery, keeping readers engaged from the first chapter. The richly drawn characters add depth and warmth to the narrative, particularly the protagonist, whose wit and resourcefulness drive the investigation forward. The pacing is well-executed, with each clue and twist carefully unraveled, leading to a satisfying and unexpected conclusion.

What sets The Mistletoe Mystery apart is its ability to balance lighthearted holiday cheer with the tension of a well-crafted mystery. Prose’s vivid descriptions of festive settings, coupled with the underlying suspense, create a unique and immersive reading experience.

This novel is perfect for fans of seasonal mysteries and those who enjoy a story that combines heart, humor, and a dash of danger. The Mistletoe Mystery is a delightful addition to any winter reading list and a testament to Nita Prose's storytelling prowess.

Huge thank you to Nita Prose, NetGalley, and Random House Publishing Group- Ballantine for the advanced copy.

a quick Christmas novella from the quirky but wholesome Molly the maid. The ending was definitely heartwarming but I was pretty bored the entire time reading this and thinking about when I could start my next book. I am a huge fan of Molly & have personally purchased & read all the others so I will be continuing the series! I think this one just caught me at the wrong time and was so obvious from the beginning Molly came off a little more annoying that quirky & wholesome like usual.

This novella follows Molly & her boyfriend Juan Manuel to uncover what he may be hiding when she notices a mysterious turn of events in his recent comings & goings.

This was cute...I have to admit, Molly is not my favorite character, and sometimes she gets on my nerves. But it's nice to see her get a happy ending!

🎁 Squeezing in one more Christmas novella for the year with The Mistletoe Mystery by Nina Prose. I wasn’t the biggest fan of Molly the Maid in the first book but decided to give her another try. This novella is focused on her personal life and specifically her relationship with Jose.

I still felt a sort of disconnect with Molly’s character and how she’s written somewhat exaggerated. I do love how Molly is quirky and unique and it makes me happy that she’s found her tribe of people that love and support her as she is.

I love Molly and her friends, so it is always fun to go back into their world. However, I didn’t see any mystery in this book as I saw what was coming very early, which took the fun. If you are looking for a more romantic plot with little mystery, then it’s perfect.

Molly the Maid, actually, Molly the Head Maid is back and surrounded by the wonders of Christmas. The Mistletoe Mystery is a novella, #2.5 in The Maid series and is as cozy and delightful as the other novels only shorter (112 pages) and no one is murdered. This novella is perfect for cozying up next to a fire with some hot cocoa and reading all about the beauty and wonder of the Christmas season. Molly shares her Christmas traditions her and Gran enjoyed. From advent calendar gifts and surprises to yummy treats and beautiful decorations with snippets of Gran’s wise words, this novella will put you in the holiday spirit. Super cute and light read.
