Another installment in the Midnight Hunters series. This is rip-roaring urban fantasy series that borders on erotica with amount of sex going on amongst all the different couples. At times I thought there's too many relationships going on - some that are continuing from the previous books and some that are just taking root in this book - but I also know I'd be miffed if I didn't get an update on where all the different characters are.
I was particularly happy with one of the new characters, Torren - a royal Fae who seeks sanctuary with Sylvan's pack when the Fae gates are closed and her former vamp captors are on her trail. Of course, the aloof and mystical Fae falls hard for one of Sylvan's wolves, Misha, which draws her deeper into the larger story and I hope she'll be a major player in the next books. The relationship between Katya and Michelle is developed further as well as Grey is starting to come to terms with the aftermath of her captivity/abuse and she starts coming out of her raging/sullen shell a bit. There's a ton of action (and sex) despite the fact that the book takes place over a relatively short period of time. This was hard to put down and if you've invested time in reading the first four in this series, you'll be sucked into this one and tempted to finish it in one sitting. If you haven't read the others in the series - don't start with this one or you'll have no clue who's who or what the overarching story is.
Suspend your disbelief, fasten your seatbelt and enjoy the ride - this is a fun read .
