A cute small town romance, perfect for readers looking for main characters a little more world weary rather than total ingénues. A nice change of pace to see a single mom get a happily ever after.
“It wasn’t until I came home, until you, that I realized how big dreams could get.”
Get Lost With You was a sweet, second chance romance with wonderful characters and a fun setting. Jillian and Levi both had a crush on each other when they were in high school, but nothing ever came of it. Now both have returned to their hometown and the sparks fly from the moment they meet again.
“Everything inside of him told him this was worth the risk.”
Levi was an absolute doll. I loved how all-in he was from the moment he decided that it was worth it to take a risk with Jillian. He was sweet, charming and all around adorable.
“He made her want to be brave.”
Jillian was such a strong, independent character, but her failed marriage had destroyed her ability to trust and she was reluctant to risk her heart again. Her self doubts created conflict for her when she just needed to trust her heart.
“You’re the something special, Jillian Keller. You always have been.”
Jillian and Levi had a sweet chemistry and their flirty banter was fresh and heartfelt. I loved how Levi was determined to show her that he would be the one that stuck and wouldn’t run away. Full of heartwarming moments, a fun small-town vibe, and a great cast of characters, Get Lost With You was a entertaining, lighthearted read that’s rich with emotion and will have you rooting for Levi and Jillian’s HEA.
Love a book about second chances. I've read a few of Sophie's other books and those are ranked a little higher for me than this latest book. It was a cute love story but way too slow! Would have been cuter as a short story honestly. But loved the reappearance of some past characters in her books!

This story gave me all the summer camp vibes and had me craving some cozy comfort food! It’s a light, second-chance romance with a brothers-best-friend twist. Jilly is back home living with her parents, helping her brothers run a retreat center, and raising her daughter after a divorce. When Levi, her brother’s childhood best friend and her long-time crush, returns to town, old feelings resurface.
To be honest, this one didn’t fully grab me, and I found myself skimming to finish it. Some parts felt bland and slow, and I didn’t realize it was the second book in a series when I started. I think reading the first book might have helped me connect more with the story.
Overall, while it had its sweet moments, it didn’t leave much of an impression for me.
I liked this book, but some of Sophie Sullivan's other books were a "love" for me and this one was just a like. I liked Logan's relationship with the brothers and how he was with Ollie. I liked that Jilly's family gave her helpful advice during her freak out. And i liked that the main couple actually communicated with each other. It was a cute story. It felt like there were a couple things out of order and that kind bugged me. It was a sweet, easy read. I knocked it out in one weekend. But I just felt confused a couple of times. My copy said it wasn't the final edit, so hopefully they were caught before production was finalized.
Thank you to St. Martin’s Press and NetGalley for the advance reader copy of Get Lost With You by Sophie Sullivan!
Jillian (Jilly) moved back to her hometown with her daughter after her divorce and has helped her family run their lodge. The story begins with a high school reunion where Jilly thinks she spots Levi, the boy she once tried to confess her feelings for when she was young. When it turns out that Levi, her brother’s best friend, has in fact returned to Smile, Jilly finds that her past feelings for Levi never really went away.
I thought Ollie was a scene stealer in Love, Naturally, so it was so exciting to return to the Keller family and read about how her mother, Jilly would find love. Jilly and Levi will definitely pull you in if you enjoy a second chance romance and unspoken mutual pining. I liked that Levi is very respectful of Jilly’s difficult past marriage and approaches a relationship with care for her and her daughter.
It was lovely to get to see Beckett and Presley again along with the rest of the Keller family!
This was a sweet story of second chances but to be completely honest, I lost interest about half-way through. I'm not exactly sure why? I'm always glad for a happily ever after but it felt rushed, I guess? And I did feel, at times, that it would have been helpful to read the first story in this series.
Overall, a great book and an easy read, just maybe not my pace.
Thank you, NetGalley and St. Martin's for the e-ARC in exchange for the honest review.
I enjoyed this family and they way they supported each other at their lodge. Not only their family but their friends and others in their community too. This was a great read! Jillian needed to learn to trust again and Levi was just the person to help her do that. Good small town romance read!
TLDR: it felt like the really long summary of a love story instead of the love story itself. It needed more detail and texture to make it believable and make me invested.
I don’t necessarily need angsty but I do need tension and I just didn’t feel it in this book. There was just a bit too much of them talking about their feelings and thinking about their feelings and agonizing over the gravity of it all without actually getting to experience any of their relationship. Why do these two people like each other so much? Show me, instead of just telling me over and over again that they do. For example, the conversations about his food truck. Levi hadn’t told anyone about his food truck, and it’s his dream. I don’t just want to read that those conversations happened and she supported him, I want to read the actual conversation. That’s so important to why he has such strong feelings about her. Similarly, after their first date it says even though they were busy Levi found ways to let Jilly know he was thinking about her. Okay, what does that mean? What did that look like? Did he send her flowers? Sweet text messages? Drop off food? It doesn’t matter what the details are but we do need details.
This story was lovely and soft and sweet and I adore the setting so much! Seeing these two characters fall in love was so fun. I also really love the cover, it’s what sucked me in! A perfect palat the cleanser happy romance.
I'm just putting this out there....future Hallmark movie for sure! I was in a reading slump and had started three different books and couldn't get into them. Whenever I wake up in the middle of the night I grab my kindle and read and because my eye sight is shot I picked on Get Lost With You because the cover looked cute. lol, yes that's exactly how I picked my next read at 3am. I am hear to say that my streak is broke and I finished this book in one day. It was the perfect like hearted, feel good, happily ever after that I needed. I highly recommend this book if you're looking for a feel good story.
Jillian lives in her hometown of Smile with her daughter and finally feels settled. She has her family, her childhood home, and a job she enjoys. Everything feels settled until her childhood crush comes back to town.
Levi wants to start his own business and purchase a food truck to sell his culinary goodness. Cooking comfort food is what makes him happy but something is missing and he intends on finding out what it is. He needs to reconnect with his family and mend sone old wounds and hopefully get his dad’s support with his new business idea. Although he has no plan to reconnect with Jillian the two are naturally pulled together. Levi has so many big decisions to make but making Jillian his forever is an easy one.
Get Lost With You by Sophie Sullivan introduces Jillian and Levi. These two knew each other in high school, but never had a chance to fully explore their feelings for each other then. When Levi moved back to Smile, they get reacquainted while Jilly runs a family lodge and Levi cooks for the business and their paths cross.
This was definitely a sweet romance about second chances and opening your heart to love.
Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for the ARC of this book. 3.5 stars
Sophie Sullivan has become a must read author for me for light hearted (but still a bit spicy!) romance novels. Get Lost with You did not disappoint and I found it to be a quick read.
Get Lost with You is the second book in this series but I have not read the first. I was easily able to pick of characters, relationships, etc. but it did make me want to go back and read it.
My only critique is the second chance romance trope felt a little forced by the end (mentioned quite a bit) but I enjoyed the love story between Jillian and Levi.
Thank you St. Martin's Press for the ARC!
I have become a huge Sophie Sullivan fan over the past few years and this new visit to Smile did not disappoint! While you can easily read this as a standalone book, trust me - you'll want to read both Get Lost with You AND Love, Naturally!
If you read Love, Naturally, you probably loved meeting Jilly and her adorably precocious daughter Ollie - and now in Get Lost with You, we get to follow their journey. As characters go, Ollie was probably my favorite child supporting character in books I've recently read. Sophie writes her with such joy, innocence, and intelligence, that you can't help but love her.
I loved Jilly and Levi as a couple - they complement each other well and their history just further ramps up the will they won't they tension.
As I've come to expect and love from Sullivan's books, the characters are superbly well written. From the main characters to the smaller supporting characters of the residents of Smile, you walk away from the book feeling as though you'd be right at home in Smile. This will especially resonate with fans of Gilmore Girls and Stars Hollow.
Overall, excellent book that I had a hard time putting down. And I can't wait to see which Smile resident gets their Happily Ever After next!
Sophie Sullivan has crafted a romance that feels like a warm hug, with just the right balance of sweetness and a dash of heat. The chemistry between these two is palpable, and the way Sullivan brings their past, full of what-ifs and missed chances, into the present is beautifully done.
This book delivered exactly what I was hoping for! A sweet little trip into nature where two people fall in love. Set in the small town of Smile, I absolutely loved the return of many characters from the first book in this series (Love, Naturally)!
Levi Bright was the boy that Jilly Keller fell for in high school. But after a decade, a divorce, and a sweet kid, Jillian isn’t that same kid. She’s scared to be vulnerable but still longs for Levi.
Levi was interested in Jilly back in the day but didn’t want to upset his friends by dating their little sister. Flash forward ten years and he recognizes that Jillian is exactly who grown up Levi needs.
As these two spend time together, they realize that their feelings are here to stay. Though they have their anxieties, challenges, and moments of fear, they find each other in this adorable small town tale!
A cute story of conflict, self-doubt, love, friendship and family. Levi and Jilly's journey was relatable.in many ways and I felt all the emotions they both had.
I really enjoyed this book! The characters were funny and lovable and I really enjoyed reading their story. I would absolutely recommend!
Sophie Sullivan just gets better with every book in my opinion. I fell in love with Smile in the first book and was so excited for Jillian to have her moment to shine. Screw her sh*tty ex-husband and five cheers for Levi and his ability to make Jillian happy again. Loved the cameos from our book one couple and Ollie continues to be the most adorable little girl who I unfortunately cannot be besties with. Levi had his share of struggles with his family in this book as well, but I loved the themes of homecoming and love of small town life after time in the big city that Jillian and Levi share.
Get Lost With You, by Sophie Sullivan, is a feel-good romance with a little bit of spice. This quick easy read is good for those times when you want to get away for a bit!
Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for providing me with the ARC ebook I read and reviewed. All opinions are my own.
