I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own. This was a cute and lighthearted read that I had fun with! it wasn’t anything groundbreaking but it was still an enjoyable book for the most part.

i requested this months ago but since the request my reading taste has changed and it no longer interests me.

A cute, small town, single parent, friends to lovers novel! It was very much in that "slow small town" kind of vein, which I struggled with throughout, since it just didnt keep my attention, but it wrapped up really nicely!

I usually enjoy reads by Sophie Sullivan, however this one fell a bit flat for me. This second chance romance felt predictable to me and I did not enjoy reading about the relationship as much as I have in the author’s other books. The read is, however, a well written story with a sense of hope.

This was so adorable! I love a second chance romance so much. I can relate to Jillian’s type A personality and letting go of her structure to find the life she dreamed of!

Jillian and Levi are stock characters, in my opinion. Their journey felt easy to predict, which bummed be out.
The author did a good job writing the story, I just wanted more.
Thanks to Netgalley, and the publisher, for the ARC of this book in exchange for my honest review.

Get Lost with You is a charming contemporary romance with a sweet, feel-good vibe. Sophie Sullivan crafts relatable characters and lighthearted interactions that make the story easy to enjoy, and the travel or small-town setting adds a cozy backdrop to the romance. The story’s humor and warmth make it an engaging, breezy read.
That said, the plot can feel predictable at times, and some emotional beats and character arcs could have been developed more deeply. While entertaining, the story leans on familiar romance tropes and doesn’t offer many surprises, making it enjoyable but not particularly memorable.
Overall, Get Lost with You is a pleasant, casual read—perfect for fans of light contemporary romance, though it doesn’t leave a lasting impression.

Jillian Keller loves her calm, cozy life in Smile, helping with her brother’s lodge; Get Lost Lodge and raising her little girl. When hometown chef Levi Bright returns, sparks fly between them as they work together, cook up fun, and share laughs. Having accomplished everything he wanted; he can’t himself from feeling like something is missing. Though Jilly is cautious after past heartbreaks, she soon realizes that sometimes old friends can bring new beginnings and maybe even a happily ever after.
After realising this was part of a series, I read the stopping reading and purchased the first book before continuing. While this novel works as a standalone, I'm glad I read it in order. The banter between Jillian and Levi, as well as interactions with the Keller family, were entertaining, and the small-town setting added charm to the heartfelt romance. It’s a great, second chance romance and brothers best friend trope.

This is one of those series that every book can be read as a stand-alone, but they all tie together, and you can see some side characters as they progress. However, those other characters' previous books don't change the focus of this book. This is a sweet romance that follows Jillian, a divorced 30-something single mother who moved back to her hometown a few years back and went into business with her brothers. She lives with her parents, but her parents are retired and want to downsize their home, leaving Jilly and her daughter in a bind. Also, her ex-husband has decided to contact her out of the blue, making threats and demanding that she meet up with him. Years after the divorce, he did not have a desire to see his ex or daughter. Then we have Levi, a successful Chef who decided to move back from the big city to his hometown to be close to family and settle down. He is best friends with Jilly's brothers, and Jilly and Levi also had crushes in high school, but never gave it a shot.
Though this story is sweet and has several aspects I like, for example, everyone is over 30 and has grown-up jobs and responsibilities. I also like Jilly's daughter, who is an awesome character. The chemistry between Levi and Jilly was not there for me. Also, everything moves very quickly. These two had not seen each other in 10+ years, and their relationship moves at lightning speed. Yes, they grew up together, but people change in 10 years. Then we have the whole ex-husband story, which seemed to be leading to this big thing, and it never had a resolution IMO. Is the story fluffy and sweet, yes, but it's too instalove for me, with little to no chemistry.

Get Lost with You features a second chance romance between two childhood friends that pined after each other for years. Before Levi left his hometown at 17 to pursue his dreams, Jillian decided to finally kiss him and confess her feelings - unfortunately, there's an embarrassing blunder and Levi ends up leaving town with 7 stitches in his chin. After many years away, Levi returns to Smile, where Jillian also remains after a nasty divorce, leaving her and her child a tad traumatized. I believed the chemistry between Levi and Jillian when they first encountered each other again, and I enjoyed Levi's POV and growth over the story. Sadly, I found the book mostly boring and had little conflict or plot I was invested in. I slogged through Get Lost with You, it took me almost 2 weeks to read it since I never got invested. It was short enough I decided to push through it, but towards the end I started skimming to get it over with. The third act breakup was frustrating on Jillian's end and I never started to like her as a person. Overall, there was nothing here that made this a read I'll look back on, as it was pretty basic and boring with little point. I think if you're into low stakes, small town romances with zero angst and little to no plot, this would be a good pick.
Thank you to St. Martin's Press, NetGalley, and the author for sending me an early copy.

This was a cute and easy read. I enjoyed the relationship between Jillian and Levi. I liked them reuniting a relationship from when they were in high school. The romance was a little too insta love for me, but this is just a personal preference of not being the biggest fan of that trope. Overall, this was enjoyable.

I enjoy her books so much so I was very excited to read this one! It was as cozy and cute as I expected! The setting was perfect and I loved the main characters!

This was my "second chance" with Sophie Sullivan's work, as I had previously tried one of the books in her previous series and DNF'd. "Get Lost with You" is a small town, second chance, friends to lovers, brother's friend + single mom who has been burned, rom-com. Basically chock-a-block with the standard contemporary romance tropes. I didn't find this one super compelling, but I liked the story and characters well enough to finish it. A nice, stress-free easy summer read.
Thanks to NetGalley and St Martin's Press for the eARC, in exchange for my honest review.

Loved this book! Different storyline and very well written. I didn't want to put it down. I hadn't read one of Sophie Sullivan's books in a while. I read it at the perfect time, during vacation!

Get Lost With You is a gentle second-chance romance featuring a single mom and a hometown hero. The FMC has returned to her small town to start over, while the MMC has come back after chasing his dreams—and what began as a childhood crush slowly rekindles into something more.
This was a sweet story overall, with emotionally mature characters who communicate well and respect each other’s boundaries. One of the standout elements for me was the male lead—he’s a true “green flag” type: thoughtful, grounded, and passionate about cooking (which he actually enjoys!). It was refreshing to read a romance where mutual respect and emotional intelligence were front and center.
That said, I struggled to stay fully engaged. The story lacked the kind of chemistry and spark between the main couple that would have made their romance more compelling. While nothing was overtly wrong with the book, I found myself getting bored as the story went on.
Thank you to NetGalley and St. Martin’s Griffin for providing this e-ARC in exchange for an honest review.
I might recommend this to readers who prefer low-drama, feel-good romances with soft, emotionally secure characters and a small-town vibe.

SPOILER INCLUSIVE REVIEW
When I started this book, all I could think about was maybe my favorite trope is young crushes to grown lovers (idk if that’s actually called something different, but whatever). I really liked the nostalgia of the situation and the shared history.
But it had been years since they’d even talked or seen each other, so I expected more than an insta-love situation (one of my least favorite tropes). Like, I get that it’s not technically insta-love since they’ve known each other, but people change and grow, and while Jilly is super hesitant at first, all of her concerns just kind of disappear suddenly (oh that libido). But it all becomes too rushed, and the buying her parents’ house, moving in together with her kid, plus her parents living in the basement. It’s all too fast, and it seems too wildly creepy.
I also found it really creepy that Jilly and Levi snuck out to a cabin to have sex while there was a children’s summer camp going on, including her own daughter as a camp participant. It just felt icky to me. I know they weren’t near the kids and they were locked away in an actual structural building, but still. It was weird to me. Not at all sexy.
I really liked the book until everyone threw how to communicate out the window. I don’t even blame Levi for accepting the job, so much as I blame her brother for offering him the job without talking to Jilly first. Then her parents selling the house she’s literally living in without even talking to her before it’s listed - like I get she may not have a say, but at least tell her. Damn. You couldn’t wait between that morning and that afternoon.
From that point, I just found myself annoyed with the entire rest of the book. And nothing really got better from there.

This romance was really sweet and heartfelt. The character dynamics among friends and family and the community had that small town cozy feeling that I was hoping for. There was emotional depth, but I wish we would've had more substance on the why of Jillian and Liam falling for each other. I also really liked Ollie! Looking forward to the next book and future releases from Sophie Sullivan.

I’ve realized that Sophie Sullivan’s books just don’t do it for me—they’re perfectly fine but quickly forgettable romances. Get Lost With You brings together Jillian and Levi, childhood friends who haven’t seen each other in more than a decade and are now both once again living in their hometown. Neither one is particularly memorable, but they seem happy together, and this story is a low-stress, low-angst small-town romance.
Small quibbles: I felt like Ollie, Jillian’s daughter, was written as younger than nine, and sometimes it seemed like the timeline/continuity was a little off.

Rating: 4/5
*Thank you to Sophie Sullivan, St. Martin’s Press, and NetGalley for this ARC!
This was one of the sweetest books I’ve read this year! I highly recommend, especially if you like sweet romances!

This is such a cute story! I love the idea of first crushes reconnecting later as loves. I also really liked the small town aspect of this one. The main characters Jillian and Levi are both sweet, wholesome characters. I really enjoyed their love story, and the spice was well done and showed the feelings between the two of them. I enjoyed this one!
