Levi is a chef who left home to follow his dreams. He and Jilly knew each other as kids and always harbored secret feelings for each other. When he returns he realizes time had no bearing on those feelings.

Jilly is a single mom making a life for her and her daughter. She prefers to have control over things in her life after being blindsided. When she sees Levi is back, her mind goes right back to her teenage self crushing over her brother’s friend.

As they spend time together, Jilly and Levi realize fighting those feelings is pointless. Levi has to break through Jilly’s resistance and show her he’s back for good. They both have other personal struggles as they navigate their new relationship.

I loved the growth in Jilly and determination in Levi. They both worked for the things they wanted and needed in life, separately and together. You can sense the tension between them as they try and resist their feelings. Both come from supportive families and friends who make great side characters. I loved everything about this story and can’t wait to read more from this author!

Sophie Sullivan is one of my go to authors - she never ever disappoints me with her consistent writing and feel good romances!! With that being said, I'm a sucker for second chance romances (when they're done right), and I enjoyed Jilly and Levi's story SO much. If you're looking for a cozy, small town romance that will make you feel all giddy inside - you need to read this series!!

this book sucked me right into it. I quickly fell in love with all of the characters. fast phase & easy read, that hits you right in all the feels. i love second chance romances stories and this one was so beautifully done! it is closed-door romance which is good because i am really needing a break from smut and this book DELIVERED.

This was a sweet second chance at ❤️ love romantic comedy. It was told in 3rd person POV and set in a small town. It features two early 30s characters who met in high school but haven't seen eachother in a long time. It's the 2nd book on a series but can be read as a stand alone.

Jillian ( Jilly) is a single mom of a 9 year old daughter who went through a bad divorce from her Ex-husband, Andrew.

Jilly runs into Levi, who was her unrequited high school crush. Levi is back in their small hometown working as a chef. Sparks fly instantly upon their reconnection. Levi is instantly smitten with Jilly but Jilly is slightly more hesitant about getting into a new relationship because of her daughter. Levi is just so sweet to Jilly that it doesn't take much convincing for them to start dating.

I just wish there was a little more angst or push and pull in the relationship involved. Some parts of the story dragged or seemed to contain too many mundane details. Overall I'd recommend this book.

I’m not a big fan of second chance romances but I thought I’d give this book a try. This is a closed door romance which is a point in my book. I feel sometimes books get bogged down trying to be the smutiest or the most sexual adventurous but I just want a sweet clean romance which this is. That being said they lost me with the brother’s best friend trope. That is my least favorite, I feel it’s overdone. If this book was just second chance I’d be all for it. This book gave me a hallmark feel almost like the hallmark moving “Falling Inn Love.” Expect more outdoorsy.

Book two in the Rock Bottom Love series is Jilly and Levi’s story. Brother’s best friend, childhood crush, single mom, small town romcom.

Cute and sweet closed-door romance. Looking forward to Grayson’s story next!

Get Lost with You by Sophie Sullivan-- I finally decided to head back to NetGalley and do something with my account. Even though this is the second in a series I had no idea until I sat down to write this review. I thought it was a really cute story. Jillian is finally feeling settled, moving back home with daughter to work with her brother running his lodge. She is stunned to find that Levi, her high school crush, has also moved back home. The big city chef has returned home to Smile to help his parents and hopes to open his own restaurant in town. Jillian is hesitant to take that leap again and Levi is torn over his feeling for Jillian since she is his best friend's "little" sister. It was really cute! So cute I went back and requested book 1 through my local library and I'm hopeful that a book 3 is in the works. This book comes out Feb. 11th and would make a great Galentine's gift.

Levi and Jillian become lovesick teenagers again when they reunite in their hometown a decade after high school - and I’m totally here for it. This novel is a reminder that you can always come home, and a house doesn't make the home. For fans of second chances, and single parent romances. A good read if you have a reading hangover after “Summer Romance” by Annabel Monaghan and are looking for a similar tale to keep cozy this this winter.

This book is a good palate cleanser from fantasy/romantasy, can be read as a stand alone, it’s very REAL. Everything that happens is completely realistic. There’s no war to fight, no magic, no kingdom to run.
It’s two adults remember that childhood love and seeing how big it can become now that they are adults.

For me it was a but longer than I think it needed to be, a few times I skimmed, I’ll be honest.
The mains had great chemistry (thus sadly closed door😑)
And the side characters are fun.

Very cute! I'm very much into small-town romances sprinkled into my heavier reads this fall/early winter! There are a lot of stories floating around about single moms making it work and finding love along the way, and I really love that set of tropes as well.

I also loved Catch & Keep by Erin Hahn, which is another recent release that reminds me of this one! Small water town, woodsy vibes and sweet characters you can absolutely root for!

When I began to read Get Lost With You, I was so excited by the premise. Jillian Keller has begun to get adjusted to living in her hometown again. She is a single mother raising her daughter and helping run her family’s inn. Levi has just come home realizing he wants to reconnect with his family and the girl that stole his heart years ago.

I love contemporary romance and the idea behind this story, but it fell a little flat for me. I was hoping for there to be more angst/tension, but this felt more love at first sight that persisted throughout the book. With some of the main arches such as Levi’s dad or Andrew, I wanted there to be more but there was a quick resolution. We also didn’t get more into the situation with Andrew which I felt would have been important or enhanced the book. I wish there was a bit more action/major plot points but there weren’t.

I think this author just isn't for me. This book dragged and it was weird that the name character was inconsistently referred to as Jill, Jilly, or Jillian. In one paragraph even!

This was a cute and simple romcom that was mostly enjoyable but did struggle to keep my interest peaked at points. It felt like we immediately jumped into the romance between Jillian and Levi with not a lot of lead up- however it was cute that they had liked each other when they were younger but were too scared to act on it. The third act conflict was annoying (aren’t they always?) but understandably a necessary part of a romance book’s formula. It was nice to revisit the couple from the previous book in the series though it just solidified that I wasn’t connecting with Jilly and Levi like I was with them. Overall a low stakes sweet and clean romance!

While Get Lost With You promises a cozy, small town second chance romance, it ultimately left me feeling underwhelmed. The story centers on Levi and Jillian, two characters with promising backstories, but their connection felt flat and unconvincing. Despite the sweet moments and the charm of the single parent trope, the overall chemistry between them was lacking.

The small town setting and familial elements added warmth, and the book’s quick pacing made it an easy read. However, the third act breakup felt unnecessary and predictable, detracting from any emotional investment I had. While I appreciate the sweetness Sophie Sullivan brings to her stories, this one fell short for me, leaving me wishing for more depth and spark.

If you're looking for a light read, this might work, but it didn’t quite hit the mark for me.

“Get Lost with You” is a second-chance romance that follows Jilly and Levi after he moves back to their hometown. Not only did Jilly have a crush on him in high school, but he’s also her brother’s best friend. While they both still harbor feelings for each other, Jilly is cautious as she doesn’t want her and her daughter to get too attached in case Levi leaves again.

The pacing in the middle of the book was a bit slow, but it picks back up toward the end. Overall, this was such a sweet and lighthearted read. You can’t help but love Ollie, Jilly’s daughter, and the entire Keller family! “Get Lost with You” will be published on February 11th, 2025, so in the meantime check out the first book in this series, “Love, Naturally.”

I enjoyed the writer’s style of writing; it was a super easy and sweet read . For me, this felt almost “Insta Love.” I know that the characters knew each other from childhood and had crushes back then, but it seemed a little “jump right in” for the MMC. The FMC was very skeptical of believing in love after her divorce, so many of her reaction to things stemmed from her mistrust. That got frustrating at times cuz it kept popping up. This novel perhaps just didn’t vibe for me like I want a romance to.

However, I would definitely try another novel by the author in the future.

This book wastes no time getting into the romance between Levi and Jill. Levi is a chef returning home to Smile to help his dad after surgery and put down some roots. Jill is a divorced mom and sister to Beckett and Grayson from the first book and is helping them with the Get Lost resort. Both Levi and Jilly had crushes on each other growing up and nothing came of it due to 2 year age gap. Flash forward 15 years and nothings in their way now. I wish there was a little more to the story, maybe a little more conflict or something. It was pretty rosy for most of the book. This is a true closed door book, and good to check out from library/KU if you read book 1.

Levi helps out around the lodge and falls head over heels for Jilly. Jilly struggles to accept the love because of her divorce from her ex. Overall super cute romance. I enjoyed reading it.
