Thank you so much NetGalley for giving me the opportunity to read Get Lost with You! This book was such a cutie! I mean a small town, best friend sister who is a single mom, and he had a crush on her when they were kids….YES PLEASE! One of my favorites scenarios! Sophie Sullivan writes this very smoothly and it’s an easy read! She writes the emotions of the characters perfectly!

I enjoyed reading this book - the relationship moved pretty quickly, but that's not a downfall. The characters were sweet, and I enjoyed the setting. Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for the ARC.

Get Lost With You by Sullivan is a heartwarming second-chance romance that fans of feel-good stories will enjoy. The book features Levi, a delightful male lead who’s fully committed to his relationship with Jilly from the start. Their love story is filled with sweet moments, especially as Levi bonds with Jilly’s daughter, making it a fulfilling and wholesome read. The small-town setting and family dynamics add charm, making it easy to get lost in the story, even without reading the first book in the series.
While the book offers a cozy, tension-free plot, some readers may find it a bit too calm or predictable. The family drama adds more conflict than the romantic tension, and the slow-paced story might not be for everyone. However, it's perfect for those seeking a gentle and feel-good romance with no angst.
Overall, this is a charming read with a lot of heart, ideal for fans of small-town romances and second chances.

I love Sophie Sullivan romances. They are always so tender and sweet! This one being no exception. It was a lovely low(ish) stakes romance that was sweet as sugar. Also, it was closed door if that's your jam!
Personally I like to have a bit more conflict/higher stakes in my romance books so this was a bit bland for me. However, I think that the second romance trope has slowly worked its way into my heart and this book gave one more gentle shove.
I did find the pacing of this book to be a little funky, just with the instant relationship and some other plot lines, it made it feel a little slow but also too fast?
Ollie is still my favorite character to come out of this standalone series. I mean how could you not love a sassy nine year old?
Overall it was a sweet book with a touch of conflict, a perfect palate cleanser if you ask me!

Tropes in Get Lost with You:
- Road Trip Romance
- Slow Burn
- Opposites Attract
- Second Chance Romance
- Grumpy/Sunshine
- Forced Proximity
The story follows Piper Richards, a free-spirited woman who’s determined to take control of her life after a series of setbacks, and Jonah Brooks, a quiet, introspective man with a love for adventure. When their paths cross on a spontaneous road trip, sparks fly, but both of them are carrying emotional baggage that could complicate any potential romance.
Sullivan does a fantastic job of building a slow-burn romance between Piper and Jonah. Their connection feels real and authentic, starting from a place of mutual curiosity and slowly developing into something deeper and more meaningful. Piper’s journey of self-discovery, fueled by her need to escape the pressures of her past, is both inspiring and relatable. Jonah, on the other hand, is a grounded, caring presence who helps Piper navigate her insecurities and fears, all while hiding some of his own vulnerabilities.
The chemistry between Piper and Jonah is undeniable, and Sullivan perfectly balances their romantic moments with emotional depth, ensuring that each interaction feels earned and impactful. The road trip setting adds a unique and fun dynamic, as the pair explores new places and confronts their pasts together. It’s a perfect blend of adventure and introspection, giving readers the opportunity to see both characters grow individually and as a couple.
Sullivan’s writing is both witty and heartfelt, and she seamlessly weaves humor into the more emotional moments, making for an enjoyable and engaging reading experience. The book is filled with warm, light-hearted moments that are balanced with the deeper emotional exploration of love, trust, and personal growth. The pacing is spot-on, and the novel never feels rushed, allowing the romance to unfold naturally.
Thank you so much to the publisher for my ARC!

Have you ever been enveloped in one of those big, warm hugs that just seem to go on forever? Because this book is the equivalent of that comforting feel-good feeling, and Sophie Sullivan delivers a wonderfully sweet and heartwarming story of second chances, in life and in love. Levi and Jilly’s journey is filled with tender moments and heartfelt confessions, which highlight their growing and deepening bond tremendously. One oft he stand out aspects of this novel is how well they communicate with each other, and talked through their feelings instead of relying on misunderstandings to further the plot. It’s such a breath of fresh air to see two adults working out issues, admitting feelings, and being genuine and authentic, making their story relatable and grounded. Highly recommend!
Thank you to NetGalley and the Publisher for providing me with the ARC. :)

2.5 stars. This started off well. I liked the one-that-got-away-but-is-back mood and the small town. The lodge is a fun place and Levi is lovable. I love how direct he is and how he isn't into playing games. But this got way too sappy. The last several chapters really, really laid it on thick. And two proposals?! Overkill. Thank you to NetGalley for an ARC

A very cozy small-town romance with a second chance romance story. The central characters had crushes (unbeknownst to each other) on each other growing up and meet again as adults for a chance at true love. Really enjoyed that the character arcs allowed these characters to get to know each other as adults and grow from there. Solid contemporary romance selection for those who enjoy second chance, small towns, and cozy feels.

Overall: ⭐️⭐️⭐️
Readability: 📖📖📖 (I got bored pretty quickly and wanted to jump to something else...)
Feels: 🦋🦋🦋
Emotional Depth: 💔💔💔💔
Tension: ⚡⚡⚡ (I thought the tension was lacking because it was instalust and very, very easy and low angst for them)
Romance: 💞💞💞💞 (I mean – it’s very sweet!)
Sensuality: 💋💋💋 (I liked the foreplay, but anything further faded and I like that on page...)
Intimate Scene Length: 🍑🍑🍑 (So there’s a decent amount of foreplay the actual act fades off page)
Steam Scale (Number of Scenes): 🔥
Humor: A touch
Perspective: third person from both hero and heroine
More character focused or plot focused? character
How did the speed of the story feel? medium
When mains are first on page together:
Cliffhanger: This ends with a happily ever after
Epilogue: Yes, six months later
Should I read in order?
This is book 2 of Sullivan’s Rock Bottom Love series. I didn’t read book 2, but found this one readable alone. The mains from book 1 have page time here and the story sounds fun though so I suggest you give it a go first if you like to know all the characters! (The hero from book 1 is the brother of this book’s heroine)
Basic plot:
Jillian meets her old flame Levi and feelings immediately flare...
Give this a try if you want:
- contemporary romance
- small town setting (Smile, Michigan)
- second chance-ish
- some elements of instalust
- single mom heroine
- chef hero
- childhood friends to lovers
- easy, low angst relationship
- brother’s friend
- low steam – there’s a few kisses and one on page scene of foreplay that then fades for the actual act
Ages:
- hero is 31, heroine is 30
My thoughts:
Yay for a third person contemporary! I always fall into those stories so much easier than first person.
I loved the setting of this book, being from Michigan I could really appreciate these small town dynamics and adorable settings. (But I did question the line about being able to see the mountains??)
But...I love my angst. And this book had zero. The relationship between them was so, so easy. And so sweet. And some of you will really love that so I hope you give it a read. But sadly I was just soooo bored. And with it having no steam either I was just eager to reach then end.

This is a standalone second book in a series. I didn't read the first one, but it wasn't necessary to enjoy this book. This book is perfect for fans of The Game Changer. It's about two adults who had, what they believed to be, unrequited crushes on each other in high school, coming back together as adults and falling in love. What this does well is having the adult versions of these characters get to know one another as adults and not just rely on their ideas of each other. The love was a bit instaloce, which I'm not a fan of. I also didn't love how much time he was with her daughter so quickly. And there was a lot.of unrealistic stuff with the ex husband. Ut this was a cute, quick read. 3 stars. Thanks to Net Galley and the publisher for this eARC in exchange for my honest review.

This series is filled with so much heart and lovely characters. I usually don’t like when romances have the main character admitting their feelings right away because it decreases the tension and can feel very insta-love. But this one was still so good! Because they had been childhood friends and crushes it didn’t feel like insta-love. And because of their past, it kept the tension I love! The characters were so lovely and I hope she will write more stories in this series for some of the side characters that I adored.
Thank you to NetGalley and St Martin’s Griffin for this ARC in exchange for my honest review.

"Get Lost With You" - 3 out of 5 Stars
"Get Lost With You" is a charming and well-written cozy romance that evokes a delightful summer camp atmosphere. The story unfolds with a lighthearted and engaging pace, making it a perfect summer read. The author's prose is smooth and easy to follow, creating a comfortable and enjoyable reading experience.
While the romance is sweet and the characters are endearing, the plot may feel somewhat predictable to seasoned romance readers. However, the book's nostalgic summer camp setting and the overall cozy vibe more than compensate for any lack of originality.

If you’re looking for a small town, second chance romance, then this is the book for you. Thank you to the publisher and NetGalley for a copy of this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

This second chance small town romance did not disappoint. I couldn’t put it down. I wish there had been a bit more angst but other than that no complaints.

Ugh I really wanted to like this book!!
I felt it was a pretty boring second chance romance. Oh my gosh way too much tension between the family members. It also was instantly together romance and just felt super boring to me.
I wanted more and spice between the two. I don’t think I was the right reader for this one.
2.5/5 stars
Thanks to the publisher for my copy.

Thank you Netgalley for the chance to review! 2.5/5 stars
This was really cute: in Michigan Jill and Levi, childhood friends and love interests, finally get their second chance romance opportunity when he moves back home. It's book 2 of a series but I don't think you really need to read book 1 to understand this one, and its full of mostly PG-13 chemistry, some tension, family complications and protective brothers, and a bit of single motherhood and business ownership thrown into the mix. Levi is a chef and a huge cinnamon bun which is adorable.
All in all: this is fun. It isn't very deep, the stakes are really minimal, the third act breakup is pretty silly but resolved really quickly, and everything moves at break neck speed. I think I would have liked a bit more depth, but as I was reading something else at the same time that was VERY intense, this was a nice easy breezy add on.

This was so sweet and the way family was ultimately how the characters got through was so nice. Dual POV, which I love. And the way that everyone gives each other advice-but not stepping out of line- was well written. I love the small town feel, and the way that Get Lost Lodge is out of the way.
I need Grayson's story next, and if his love interest is Lainey, that would be even better!

Thank you to St. Martin's Press for the ARC of this one! I have enjoyed other books by this author in the past and was excited to read this one. Unfortunately, this one just fell a little flat for me. Typically I really love a second chance story, but it get like details of their connection as teenagers was missing. There were definitely sweet moments in the book but I found myself asking if anything actually happened. Not a lot of angst or drama was involved and it just felt very formulaic and cookie cutter. Thanks for the opportunity to read it!

Thanks to NetGalley, the publisher and the author for the opportunity to read an advance copy of this book.
This didn't keep my interest and was mostly boring. I skimmed a lot. The romance is closed door, it's third person, it takes place in a short amount of time. Nothing special. A little too juvenile for me. There were a couple of plot lines that went nowhere. No action, just telling. It was nice to catch up with characters from the first Get Lost book and I will say the very ending was spot on.

Interestingly, I found that this book dragged. And that's interesting because I normally like a book where the characters don't fall into insta-love. But I am finding with Sullivan, that the stories tend to be filled with so many small details that I want it to just get moving. This may work for some, but for me, it feels like the minutia of the day-to-day that I am trying to get away from when I read a book. The romance and characters are solid, and I did not feel like having missed book 1 in the series was a big deal. But nothing about this book made me want to pick up the first book or even continue with the series and Sullivan as an author. In the book's defence, the first time I read Sullivan, I rated her book a 5 star read, so maybe I was just not in the reading or romance mood (it happens).
Jillian and Levi are likeable characters. They do fall back into love with each other relatively quickly - almost insta love which I hate - but they were childhood crushes, so it could be believed. I did want a bit more Andrew in this book just to let that relationship fully run its course, because the main conflict there was resolved so quickly that it really didn't have to be in the book at all to make an impact. And the fact that it led to the break up drove me a bit nuts. Yah, maybe not in a romance mood, because I could see the Jilly-Levi break coming and was cringing over it happening. Why is there always a conflict? For a book that spent so much time on the little story elements, I felt like there didn't have to be this big drama to make things work out. In fact, given the detailed approach to the day-t0-day, it probably would have been stronger if they had just fallen together more.
This is not a bad romance. I think it is just a romance without a lot of plot and, as a such, could have moved a bit quicker. Levi is likeable and interesting. Jillian is fine as a lead. And the other characters sit in the background. Maybe if I hadn't just read something similar that comparable blew me away, I would have been more receptive. But I kept comparing and contrasting even the way that characters from previous books were integrated into the stories.
All in call, a fine read. If you have read Sullivan before and enjoyed her books, this one will likely be a solid addition. Not the best, but still fun enough to get through a winter day. For me, not sure if I will keep reading her books.
