This was such a sweet story! I loved Jilly and Levi ! I loved how Levi was all in from the very beginning and how great he was with Ollie! You could definitely feel the small town vibes! Cannot wait to read more from Sophie!

If Sophie Sullivan writes it, I’ll read it. Levi became one of my favorite book boyfriends from the very beginning. Our two main characters are super likeable and the tension between them was amazing. I really enjoyed the slow burn because it made the declaring of forever love more genuine. Honestly, I wish i could move to a town like Smile!

While Get Lost with You is part of a series, you don't need to read the first book to understand the story. This book focuses on Levi and Jillian's story, whereas the previous book focuses on Beckett and Presley. Beckett is one of Jillian's older brothers and, as such, plays an essential part in her story along with the rest of her family.

Get Lost with You, set in the familiar and cozy small town of Smile, is a heartwarming second-chance romance. The town, nestled on an island off the coast of Mackinaw City, Michigan, provides the perfect backdrop for Jillian and Levi's story. Jillian, who harbored a teenage crush on Levi, attempted a meet-cute the night before he left town for school. Little did she know, Levi also had feelings for her but considered her off-limits as the little sister of his two best friends. As they both returned home as adults, they found it increasingly difficult to deny their feelings.

At times, I found the plot's predictability in Get Lost with You to be a bit of a letdown. While I understand that romances often follow a formula and are expected to have happy endings, the lack of tension in the story left me wanting more. However, this predictability may be a welcome aspect for readers who appreciate a familiar and comforting narrative.

Overall, Get Lost with You is an enjoyable read. While it didn't wow me, I enjoyed reading it and suggest others try it.

Get Lost With You was fine. I enjoyed it, but unfortunately was reading two other books with similar tropes at the same time that just landed a little better. However, if you also love a small isolated town romance, this is worth a read!

Get Lost with You by Sophie Sullivan is the second book in the Rock Bottom Love Series. This is Jillian and Levi‘s story.

After I absolutely loved the first book, I was so excited to be back at the Get Lost Lodge. Jillian is running the lodge with her brother and she’s a single mom to her daughter Ollie as well. She has a lot on her plate and likes structure and organization. It sometimes feels like her life runs on autopilot and it works somehow. Jillian is a nice and pleasant character but nothing else for me.

Everything changes when Levi returns to his hometown. He was a chef and living his dream, but he returned to help his parents. And it was quite sad seeing his almost non-existent relationship with his dad because he didn’t accept his career choice and he was bitter about it. Levi is an absolute sweetheart and cinnamon roll hero, and I really liked him.

Jillian and Levi grew up together and they were always friendly with each other. There was one moment in their teenage years where it would have been more, but nothing ever came of it, and you could say it’s a slight second chance romance. The book was very sweet, and the characters worked well together. I loved how Levi immediately saw Ollie as his own and how he wanted to bring happiness and love to Jillian every day. But there weren't really any obstacles and it seemed too perfect. The relationship also progressed way too fast and a week after Levi was back, he was all set on her and they went on a date and were just together. I would have preferred to see more of their feelings and thoughts.

If you’re looking for a sweet small-town romance, you’ll absolutely like this one. 3 stars.

(Thank you to the publisher and NetGalley for providing me with an arc.)

Thank you to Sophie Sullivan, St. Martins Press and NetGalley for an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.

I absolutely ADORED Levi and Jillian together! Their chemistry was perfect for the "more mature" reader as Jillian was dealing with emotions post divorce and navigating having a child to consider while exploring a new relationship.

The third act conflict was very well done and very believable which was a breath of fresh air in a romance novel.

While this book was the second in an interconnected standalone series it could 100% be read first with no issues!

4 star and highly recommend!

I feel like I should start this review off by saying I feel really dumb. I had no idea going into “Get Lost With You” that this is the second book in the Rock Bottom Love series. I kept thinking during those first few chapters wow everyone knows something that I don’t. Or wow everyone already knows each other. Then I went to mark this on Goodreads and realized welp that explains it, this book is part of an interconnected romcom series. So moral of the story don’t pull a lexie and read the first book, “Love, Naturally” first. Then come back and read “Get Lost With You”.

Now even with the minor beginning confusion, I still enjoyed the book but I didn’t love it. Honestly up until about the 80% mark I would’ve given this book a 4 stars. But then in the last 20% the author decided to give us literally one of the most cliche third act breakups. Not to mention the conflict was completely unnecessary and came out of nowhere. To make it worse, the conflict made our MFC completely unlikable. Which is a shame because up until that point I had really enjoyed her character. Plus my boy Levi did not deserve that. That man clearly deserved better.

Overall, like I mentioned this book is a fun, quick easy read that would be perfect for the beach. Even though it’s not one of my favorite romcoms I would still recommend it.

Lastly big thank you to St. Martin's Press and NetGalley for providing me an ARC to read and review.

Thank you to the publisher for the opportunity to read this ARC. Unfortunately, I was unable to get into this one due to the third person POV. In only a short amount of reading time I realized that this perspective wasn’t allowing me to feel connected to the main character at all and therefore I was unable to continue reading. I think perhaps if I had read the first book and knew more of the characters I would feel differently but I think the big issue for me was a third person POV for a romance.

My issue with this book is that it was slow and I felt like nothing actually happened.
I’m also not a fan of insta love and 20% into the story the main characters are already head over heels in love. I get that they knew each other when they were kids but that was a long time ago and it felt unrealistic to me that they would have such strong feelings upon being reacquainted for like a day.
I have read another book from this author before and really enjoyed it so I was pretty disappointed with this one. The writing was pretty and the story was lighthearted but it just felt boring to me.

I am, however, always thankful for the opportunity to read an ARC - thanks to Netgalley and the publisher.

Tropes:
Second Chance Romance
Small Town
Brother's Best Friend
Single Mom

I was so excited to read this book, and it did not disappoint!

First of all, these tropes are absolutely THE BEST. Levi and Jilly have the best chemistry, and I love how determined Levi was to show that he was the guy for her, no matter what.

This would be a perfect beach read. Light and fun, but still so engaging! Check this one out.

This book had potential, but it just didn’t work for me. The romance felt rushed—Levi moves back, and suddenly they’re all in with no real buildup or tension. I wanted more longing, more depth, and more emotion, but everything felt surface-level. Jilly was also a pretty frustrating FMC, and some of the writing felt a bit too cutesy. I usually enjoy Sullivan’s books, but this one fell flat. Maybe it was the overly sweet tone or even the fact that the town is literally named "Smile"—either way, it just didn’t click for me.

Sophie Sullivan has a way of creating a world that draws you in and makes you feel like you are among friends. I love the world of Smile and the Get Lost lodge. The small, island town feels like a warm hug. It was a pleasure to dive back into this world in this second book of the Rock Bottom Love series.

I liked getting to know Jillian better in this book, after meeting her in Love, Naturally. She is a strong, young mother, and I could see a bit of myself in her. I am also a lover of structure and routine, but I do love an adventure as well. Levi is a fun love interest, with a big heart and a big dream. I was a big fan of their romance, and was cheering for them throughout the novel.

The supporting characters are what make this series sparkle. I love Keller family and how intertwined they are in each others’ lives. I cannot wait to see what the next book in this series has in store.

All in all, it was a fun second chance romance, if a bit predictable. But, that’s what we turn to romance for, right? And it certainly delivers on that happily ever after we all crave.

Is there a Sophie Sullivan book that I don't love? No. Everything she writes is so immediate and lovely to fall into! You won't regret reading this one.

What a beautifully written book. It shows the the real side of love and life (for the most part). I live books where you feel like you are part of the family, and really hate for the book to end. Each family member was well written. The one bad thing I have to say, (without a spoiler), is that one part of the story wasn't finished, I feel like since that character was in most of the book, that, that part of the story should have also had an ending. That would have made the book perfect.
Thanks to netgalley, the publisher and the author for the opportunity to read this ARC.

Jillian Keller has rebounded after divorce, raising her eight-year-old daughter on her own while working at the Get Lost Lodge with her family. She’s in a good place in her life, happy to be in her beloved hometown of Smile. However, her teenage crush, Levi Bright, has come back to town and the attraction she felt for him back then reignites and grows the more she sees him, which is often since he’s been filling in as chef at the lodge. It’s fast and a bit disconcerting considering her past failure with love.

Levi Bright left Smile to pursue his dream of becoming a chef and achieved his goal, but now he is craving a life closer to family and friends. He’s never forgotten his best friend’s younger sister, Jillian, and the kiss the “almost kiss” before he left for college. Now that Levi’s back, that simmering attraction they felt as teenagers is sparking up again. Levi’s ecstatic over his blossoming romance with Jillian, but knows she’s wary of jumping in too fast.

I adored Levi! He embraced life with gusto, from reaching out and achieving his dream of becoming a chef to realizing he wanted more from life than just a career and then doing something about it. I admired Jillian for picking up the pieces after a bad marriage and then thriving as a single mom. Both had to deal with messy issues: Jillian with her awful ex, and her personal fears of repeating the past; Levi had an angry and hurt father with his loving mother caught in between.

The picturesque setting of Smile, in the Lake Michigan area, sounded lovely with Get Lost Lodge as a perfect rustic lake getaway!

Get Lost With You was a sweet, small-town, second chance romance with a lively secondary cast of characters! It was a joy to experience Jillian and Levi’s journey to HEA!

I found myself wanting a little bit more from this one. The characters seemed a bit all over the place and the story didn't feel cohesive. The romance was cute, I just think it was missing something.

Book two in the Rock Bottom Love series, Get Lost is exactly what you would expect from a Sophie Sullivan book- a sweet romance. Single mother Jillian has moved back to her hometown- aptly named Smile- with her daughter Ollie after a bad divorce. Her heart skips a beat when she find out her teenage crush, Levi, has also returned home after leaving years ago for culinary school. Luckily, his heart skips a beat too, and it isn't long before they're falling hard for each other.

Both the characters of Jilly and Levi were well written and likeable, as was the small town and all its small town vibiness. Jilly is smart and sure of herself; Levi is steady and good with Ollie. There was one steamy scene but it ended with a fade to back.

The problem for me is that it just wasn't memorable. There wasn't any pining or angst as you waited for them to get together because it happens pretty much right away. There isn't any tension in their relationship, so halfway through the book I was wondering what the last half would be about...

Overall, it was a quick, cute read. If you want a cozy, happy, stress free book that'll keep your faith in good men and love stories, this is a good rec for you.

Thank you Netgalley and St. Martin's Press for my earc. A 3.5 star read downgraded to a 3 star.

This one lacked depth, lacked romance, lacked emotion, and even the plot felt lacking. I’ve enjoyed Sullivan’s work in the past but I could get into this one. Maybe because I couldn’t look past the town name of Smile. Maybe because the writing felt very “sweet”. Idk. Either way it just left a lot to be desired.

I received an advance review copy for free from the publisher via Netgalley and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

The cover of this book made me immediately want to pick it up and read it! I love that it’s a second chance for Jillian and Levi. I am also a big fan of the single parent trope! Overall cute read

Another amazing Sophie Sullivan light hearted, funny and swoon worthy book. A second chance at love in a small town where love is sweet and blooms.
