This book is a charming Christmas read set in the magical backdrop of New York during the holiday season, complete with all the festive elements you’d hope for, including ice skating at Rockefeller Center. The characters are lovable, and the storyline is a delightful mix of humour and romance. However, the graphic sex scenes felt out of place and overly explicit, detracting from the overall warmth and charm of the story. Despite this, it’s still an enjoyable holiday read for those who love a bit of Christmas romance.

The story is set in New York during Christmas time.

Hayley and her daughter Angel are there to spend time with her brother, enjoy the season, but at the same time she wants to find Angel’s father, and fulfill her daughters wish.

But, the father doesn’t know he has a daughter. Hayley only met him the once a long time ago.

I loved Angel, who being only 9, was so much older by her knowledge.

I recommend this book.

Christmas is July! Who doesn’t love a little Christmas spirit any time of the year.? I did enjoy this light heated book that had me feeling all the happy feels.

This is a lovely story set in New York at Christmas time, featuring a woman and her daughter looking for the man who is the girls father. They have never met and he has no idea she even exists, being the result of a night of passion many years ago.

This is a really easy feel good read with a lot of loveable characters. Especially 9 year old daughter Angel, who is wise beyond her years. Well written and perfect for the festive period. The plot is well thought out and the ending was perfect.

Read this as part of my Christmas in July reading which has become an annual tradition. Love this author and as usual she has taken the reader on a journey and this is so much more than just a festive read. I loved how this one was set in New York as reminded me of my travels there some years ago.

Engaging storyline and characters that the reader can warm too.

A lovely cosy read that has made me want to go back to New York and to experience what it’s like at Christmas time.

I loved how the story was very well structured and all the characters had their own space to share their story. We got to know Hayley and Oliver really well and Angel was just so special and adorable. The relation between mother and daughter came across really well and in a very beautiful way.

A fantastic story. Set mainly in New York. Loved it. Money is not always the .solution. Angel was one amazing child. A great character. The twist that tied everyone together was clever. Hayley flew with her daughter to find her one night stand in New York . A great story and you had a great love element , a medical story that made you wonder what you would do. Family pressure as well.. I really enjoyed it. Good ending

I have read several of Mandy Baggots books and I have enjoyed them all. This book is no executive: it's a perfect christmas romance! When Hayley was visiting her brother in N.Y.C she had a one-night-stand with a man and got pregnant. Now, 10 years later, her daughter's christmas wish is to meet her father so Hayley and daughter Angel come to New York for their christmas break. Once there Hayley keeps meeting her brother's boss Oliver....
I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book. I loved Hayley and Angel and Dean,.Vernon and Randy. It took me a while to warm to Oliver but he turned out to be a likable character after all. The setting in N.Y.C. made me want to book a christmas vacation there asap. Really a lovely romance that I will definitely read again in december!
