We Knew it was Coming...

In the Maverick Junction series, Lynnette Austin did a great job at setting up the next book. While I wasn't a fan of Cash, liked Ty a little bit more, Brawley seemed to take the cake. He was a bit of a jackass in the previous books, but we get to know him better this time around and it worked for me.

Brawley was a man that needed out of Maverick Junction when he was nineteen and now, ten years later, realizes the city life isn't for him. Too bad when he left for college all of those years ago, he completely broke the girl he would be coming back for.

Maggie has hit the big time with her designs. Sure the small towns around her knew she was good, but now New York will get to see her in all of her glory. We saw that Maggie and Brawley had a "thing" in the past two books, however it turns out that thing was pretty complicated. You can kind of see now why she needs to live her life without him.

I liked Maggie and Brawley right away, but didn't want them together. Not instantly. Lynnette Austin did a nice job at keeping Maggie on track with her New York adventure. She worked hard and if she threw it all in the trash for a guy, I was going to throw my Kindle against a wall. Luckily, that didn't happen and good ol' Brawley had one heck of a time convincing this girl he was a changed man. He jumped through hoop after hoop to show her he's changed, as well as settling back into the slow life of Maverick Junction.

The book is well written, predictable, but still a lighthearted, fun read. We keep in touch with all of the other leading characters and thier families, which is a big plus for me. Can't Stop Lovin' You is book three in the series, however there is enough background on everybody to read it as a stand alone. I've grown to like these characters, as they take me out of my norm of dark and taboo reading once in a while.

Can't Stop Lovin' You (Maverick Junction Book 3) by Lynnette Austin
This is veterinarian Brawley Odell and Maggie Sullivan's story.

Brawley is back in Maverick Junction and wants to win Maggie back. He is the one that called quits on their relationship tens years ago to pursue his dreams in the big city. Brawley hurt Maggie and she cannot take a chance on getting her again. Another problem is that now that Brawley is back Maggie is leaving to pursue her dreams in the city. But one thing for sure the attraction between them hasn't gone away in the last ten years. If anything, the chemistry between them is hotter than ever. Will these two ever be on the same page or are there too many hurts from the past for them to get a chance at true love?

I just loved Brawley's character. It may have taken him ten years but he knows what he wants now and that's Maggie. So, kick back and enjoy the Brawley and Maggie's story. This is a fun, emotional, heartwarming, and hot read.

FYI, contains mature content. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book

Received an ARC for an honest review.

Okay, maybe it was just me, but this dragged on way too long. It starts right in the middle of the action, so after a few pages to get situated, I assumed the pace would stay that way. Instead, it kind of meandered around the issues with Brawley wanting Maggie to stay and Maggie knowing she needed to go. There was about 50 pages too much of that if you ask me. I wanted to see them together, but there were honestly parts of the book that I was just skimming to get to the resolution.

I liked the story, so I'm still giving it three stars, but it needed to be shorter.

We have made it to the story that had been teased at throughout the series thus far, Brawley and Mag. The journey began in high school. Then life happened and they broke apart. Life happens again and brings them back together only as Mag had decided to move on with her life and pursue her dreams. It was time to make them reality, but something stood in the way. Mag needed to resolve the past. Along the way there were road blocks, laughs, pain, compromises.

Mag and Brawley had their second chance and it came with a lot of obstacles. It was a hard fought long awaited romance. This was a sweet small-town romance that gave high school sweethearts a chance to rekindle the magic they once had.

To get the full effects of their romance, I recommend reading the series from the beginning. Then you also get a better feel for the community as a whole and the other secondary characters that come to play in the storyline.

Can’t Stop Loving You by Lynnette Austin is a second chance at love story and is part of the Maverick Junction series. I have not read the previous books, but did not feel left out. I think they would probably provide more background on the family and friends, but can be read as a standalone.

Brawley Odell and Maggie Sullivan had been friends for a long time and were high school sweethearts. Though Brawley left for college before Maggie, they had plans on making it work. Until it didn’t anymore. Brawley returns one last time to break up with Maggie without any explanation. This left Maggie broken-hearted. But once she pulled herself together, she hardened her heart and moved forward.

Fast-forward years later and Maggie is finally living her dream. After never having gone to college as planned, she built her business from the ground up. And after designing a dress noticed by the right people, she has the opportunity to go to New York and showcase her talents. She is ready to take this next step in her life. But just when everything falls into place, Brawley returns home and decides he wants her back.

Though at times I wanted to hit Brawley, as you read the story and find out why he did what he did, you begin to understand him. But at the same time, you understand the animosity Maggie throws his way. He broke her heart and left her shattered. But at the end of the day, they were both very likeable characters who made choices that changed the course of their lives.

Their journey was one of heartbreak, second chances and loss, but it was also sweet and romantic. Though years had passed since their break-up, their chemistry was always there and hard to ignore. Their banter was fun to experience, especially with a feisty red-head leading the charge. But Brawley was determined to show Maggie they were meant to be.

This was a good read, with romance, angst and second chances. The characters were very likeable and the story intriguing. I am looking forward to reading more from this author.

She's the only dream he wants . . .

Hometown girl Maggie Sullivan can't wait to get out of Maverick Junction. Designing the wedding gown of the year for her friend-and America's Favorite Heiress-is the break Maggie's been waiting for. But her lifelong dream takes an unexpected turn when she runs into her high school sweetheart-now the town's hotter-than-hot veterinarian.

Brawley Odell, country right down to the tips of his cowboy boots, has returned to take over the local animal doctor's practice. But the real reason he's in town is that he's never stopped thinking about the fiery green-eyed beauty who once captured his heart . . .

High school sweetheart books tend to be a favorite, right up there with best friend romances. This is a book that's been previously published, but I hadn't read it before now. Brawley has moved back to town after being gone and sees Maggie...well he knows what he wants! Maggie, on the other hand wants her business to thrive and to be a fashion designer.

I thought this was a really good book and fell in line with the rest of the series. There were a couple places that kind of lagged but otherwise it was really good. I would give this to my mom to read in a heartbeat because it had sooo many things I really love....plot, not a lot of cussing and character depth. This is awesome to pick up on a weekend at the beach.

I was provided an ARC from the publisher/author/NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. All opinions expressed are my own and do not reflect anyone else's.

Love Brawley. I know many at first will find him to be arrogant and not deserving of a second chance. But I don’t. We see that him and Maggie have a past in previous books. We know her side but not his. Here we get to see his side. We see that it was more complicated than it appeared. Brawley made a error. He was 19 and took life by the horns thinking that he knew what was right and what would work. Little did he know life would get in the way. Now he is back and still in love with Maggie. He is a good man and is trying to get her to see that he made a mistake.

Maggie though is carrying some serious anger. I know he hurt her but it was over 10 years ago. Not only that what she is most angry about she can’t blame him because he was in the dark on so much. She left him in the dark. Is she a good character and person? Yes. She is also feisty and strong willed. She is about to embark on her dream. A dream that will change her life forever. Maggie you can tell still loves Brawley but is angry. So very angry and liking him makes her angrier. She is carry a grudge and letting it take over. she doesn’t see who Brawley has become or that he is a good guy. She doesn’t see that he is always there for her. He is there for his friends as well. That he has a big kind heart. That he makes mistakes. She is willing to give others second chances and even encourages others to do the same but when it comes to Brawley she won’t do that. To me that is unfair.

Brawley tries so hard to show her who he is but she does shut him down. And now with her dream coming reality it makes it harder. They have some serious attraction and you can tell they love one another. Brawley is trying to show her his feelings and be there for her but she does shut him down. When she doesn’t and gives in wowza. but they are fleeting because than she turns cold and hurts him and she in a way hurts herself.

When Maggie goes after her dream she does seem to change a little. Her treatment to Brawley after he did all he could to be there for her was just horrible. He was disposable to her. She felt bad afterwards as she did the other times she went hot and cold but this was different. Throughout before this she said some hurtful and mean things before this but this time took the cake. Even after she told him all she lashes out thinking he was judging when he wasn’t. She really hurts him this time in a way not expected.

so when he goes back he buries himself in work. He feels saddened. We also see him begin to move on in a way. But he doesn’t give up. He knew she needed to spread her wings and knew it was a hard road to get her to see him differently and doesn’t give up. But he does as does everyone else have loss occur. It hits him so deeply and profoundly. Here your heart will break.

Maggie is having her dream come true but to me isn’t happy with her life. She is confused over her feelings and where she belongs. She is also confused over Brawley. she gains perspective as well. I love how she does see where she is meant to be and sees Brawley in the end. It takes her awhile but she does realize it.

The story is heartwarming and heartbreaking. We see Brawley go through alot and see that he has changed from who he once was. He is so kind and sweet. Everyone roots for him and you do to. Maggie is needing to discover where she belongs as well and spread her wings like Brawley did. He understands this and encourages and supports her even if it saddens him. He is always there for her. We see him support and respect her no matter what. They love one another but Maggie does fight it to the end. Maggie learns to grow and see what she wants in her heart. They are a beautiful second chance love story that has you smile and sad due to some loss and all that happened in the past to get them where they were at the beginning of the book. A great love story on love and second chance. On forgiveness and family and friends. A wonderful read..

Can't Stop Lovin' You by Lynette Austin was such a good hearted read!

I love a good country romance book every now and then, and this novel definitely met those expectations. I completely fell in love with both the storyline and the characters. Each were dynamic and detailed, as though I knew every single detail about the characters and how it would play out in real life.

Maggie and Brawley stole my heart. Despite some differences, they were able to complete each other in a way like no one else ever could.

Lynette Austin has written an unputdownable novel, that I can't wait to already go back and reread.

5/5 Stars!

This was a really sweet conclusion to the Maverick Junction series.
There is useful backstory included in books 1 and 2, but this really is a stand alone book that can be read independently.
Can't Stop Lovin' You wraps several interesting messages into one book, but does it very well. There is a second chance romance for high school sweethearts Maggie and Brawley, the idea of fulfilling dreams - and how those dream change, and the idea that home really is where the heart is.
Maggie and Brawley have been dancing around each other as we have watched Cash and Annie then Ty and Sophie fall in love, but here we finally get to find out what is behind the animosity she carries for him.
Both are characters that are genuinely good people and easy to like, but I have to admit I cheered everytime Maggie softened towards Brawley a little bit more. Well written and entertaining, this is a great series that I am almost sad to see end.

Small town, sweet romance, and a second chance at love all collide in Can't Stop Loving You. Maggie is a spitfire that I thought was a great character. She wants to leave her tiny town; I think anyone who has grown up in a tiny town totally understands this. Brawley escaped the town, but is disillusioned by big city life and wants to go home. Seeing Maggie again is just a bonus to moving back to Maverick Junction!

Maggie was crushed by Brawley when he left years ago. But, now she is making a name for herself as a wedding dress designer with her sights set on NYC. She really is not quick to fall for Brawley again and I really loved that. He has to grovel for a long time before she begins to believe in him again. His callous dismissal of her when she was 18 was bruising, especially given what she knew that he didn't...
She was pregnant. He left, and then she had a miscarriage. Since he had already left, she didn't track him down and tell him or anything.
Overall, the story is predictable, but sweet and fun. Perfect for a beach or pull read, Can't Stop Loving You will leave a smile on your face.

Maverick Junction is the place everyone tries to walk away from, but just can't live without. Lynnette Austin takes a sugary sentiment and makes it her own. Can't Stop Lovin' You runs away with an old fashioned adage we all know and love, but do everything we can to ignore. Through sentiment, valuable lessons and heartwarming characters, Ms. Austin proves that home is more than a place, it's the people that make this life worthwhile.

Review by Elizabeth for Love Romance Book Blog

The author would like an honest review

4 stars

Second chances. They are some of my favorite books. This is one of them. I want to first say that I loved every character in this book. All the flaws made this such a great read. I enjoyed being in their life and seeing what they saw, feeling what they felt, and learning from everything the did. You can feel the pain from the beginning of this book, but you in the end you also see the healing that goes on in this book. These two, Brawley and Maggie, have so much baggage and after a decade they get to tell each other how the really feel, not all of it will be good, and not all of it will be bad, but the challenges ahead for these to will be an uphill battle for both of them.

In two weeks Maggie gets to live her dream. She designs clothes and she gets to move to New York to see her dream come true, but to no avail, there has to be drama that happens. In walks Brawley after a decade and he wants Maggie back. It was a great start of this book. I loved how it started. It was fun and you can see how fiery these two are going to be. Maggie has been waiting for Brawley but its too late in her eyes. Too much time has passed. Secrets that need to stay hidden. Hurt that was given out. Maggie couldn't wait any longer, she wants to live out her dream. Maggie is absolutely wonderful. She is a strong powerful woman and she knows what she wants, or at least thinks she does. She' going to run from Brawley as fast as she can so she does not get hurt again. Brawley has come back to his home town. He is taking over the vet business and its time. He wants Maggie back and he is not going to stop till he gets what he wants. He has an uphill battle to fight. He hurt her, walked out and left her and hasn't been back in years. Brawley wants her back and he is going to do what he can. Is he too late though, life just didn't wait for him. Maggie moved on and now trying to live her dream. Is he willing to take that away from her? Can he make her stay? Brawley has made his mistakes but he has become a great man. He just has to prove that to Maggie.

This book is very deep. Not everything happens overnight. Life doesn't work that way. He is going to fight, but the fight might be too late. The author keeps you on your toes throughout the whole book and there is a lot things that need to be worked out. I loved the writing from this author and I hope to read something else from her soon.

This is book 3 in the series and I have read and loved every single story in this series. This book can stand alone though you might understand the story and some scenes better if you read the series from the begining. This is dress designer Maggie's story and well it is a fun one.

Maggie has lived in Maverick Junction her whole life and at a time when she would have gone off to college she was taking care of her sick grandma and then her grandfather after she died. IN that time she learned to be a dress designer and opened a very successfu dress store. One of her clients is the heroine from the first book and she helped get her noticed by a guy in NY who offered her, her own brand of clothing and fashion show.

The book opens up two weeks before she is moving to NY for her new job and with her childhood sweetheart Brawley, the new vet in town. He dumped her when she was 18 and has been dating super models in Dallas and is now home for good and so he wants to be with Maggie.

I LOVED that Maggie gives him a very hard time. She does not forgive him for 80% of the book and well I beyond loved that. She also goes to NY and we get to follow with her and her new life and I really loved that.

This book was a realy well written and enjoyable romance about a scond chance at love couple. Add in all their family and friends and I really loved this story. It was a realy wonderfu way for this series to end with all the chidhood friends getting their happily ever after.

Maggie Sullivan has been dreaming of this day for years, the day she would be able to leave her small town life behind, and introduce her designs on the big city runway. With a deal on the table, her designs becoming a reality, she is ready to grasp this new opportunity with both hands and enjoy every minute of it... but then something unexpected happens...a sexy something unexpected. The man who walked away and broke her heart to bits is now back home in Maverick Junction, and ready to mend the heart he broke. But forgiving him just isn't in the cards for her, he took something from her that isn't easily replaced, so leaving town and him behind is her best course of action. But he isn't so willing to let her slip away a second time...

Brawley Odell knows he screwed up royally when he turned his back on the woman who held his heart all those years ago, at the time he thought he was doing what was right for both of them... but he couldn't have been more wrong. He has tried to replace the love he had with her, with others, but no one has ever been able to hold a candle to her, she was a once in a lifetime kind of girl. When an opportunity of a lifetime comes along, and will take him back to his hometown of Maverick Junction, and back to Maggie, he decides it's time to go home and make amends. But once he is there his plan to make amends and win the girl back hits a little snag, she's leaving town...

Every time I make a visit to Maverick Junction I fall deeper in love with these wonderful, eccentric characters that Ms. Austin has brought to life, each one brings something special to the table and I thoroughly enjoy every minute I get to spend with them. From the first page they will pull you into their world, make you feel right at home, and then their southern charm is sure to hit you in waves, and warm your heart right up! These two were a real treat to meet, Brawley had his work cut out for him, and it was fun to watch him try to work his way back into Maggie's good graces.... and boy did she make him work for it!! If you like second chance romances rich with heartfelt emotion, then I highly recommend you meet these two, their wonderfully crafted story is sure to warm your heart, and give you just what your looking for... a truly unforgettable literary escape!

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this title.

This book is part of a series, this is the third book, and it continues with another syrupy love story from Maverick Junction. It was a second chance story, this time it's about Maggie and Brawley, who were high school sweethearts. Brawley left town, and broke Maggie's heart, and now she is about to embark on the time of her life, where her business will take off, and then who shows back up. Brawley, and he is determined to make up with her, so what happens? Do they reunite? Well they do get their HEA, but it is a journey, so read it, and go thru it with them.

Brawley and Maggie were the embodiment of the great trope former flames meet again many years later. They had a lot to work through, and plenty going on in their lives, so it was an interesting and engrossing story.

Release Date: July 25, 2017
Genre: Contemporary Romance

This book was originally published back in 2014 but is being re-released from Forever Romance this July! With that, this is a wonderfully sweet little romance novel that had my heart beating a mile a minute. How I have never heard of this book OR the author before now is a mystery to me but I can say with a smile on my face that I will be picking up more of her books in the future based on this one. It's a charming little number and left me feeling really good when I finished reading it.

I would very much recommend this novel to those who enjoy sweet, contemporary, and second chance romances! Also, if you like quirky little towns that make you want to go and visit them then would also tell you to give this one a try!

Here's a case where you just can't stop at one. No sooner did I get started with this book then I just knew I had to search out the other books in this series. This book totally stands on its own merit but it was like opening a bag of potato chips, you just needed one more.

As fast paced a romance novel as I've ever read. Definitely had me turning pages to see where this wonderful couple was going to wind up. For me CAN’T STOP LOVING YOU was a very welcoming introduction to Lynnette Austin. Just another perk for reviewers discovering still another author to include on the must read list.

Young love is wonderful but it usually is hard pressed to have the staying power needed for a long term relationship. Its future always seems questionable at best. There is always the possibility of that spark blowing out even if the flame seems so bright. The people in this small Texas town of Maverick Junction were pretty certain that their Maggie Sullivan and Brawley Odell were destined to be together.

For Maggie and Brawley it would seem the blush of young love just didn't have staying power at all. Their futures seemed to be apart, not as a couple. Truly sad since their love and attraction was so strong. But their youth and immaturity were at odds with the chance that this love had any possible way to survive. Both were about to embark on the voyage to follow their dreams and it seems that these dreams had no place in this small Texas town. Following the dream meant leaving everything they knew and loved behind.

Sometimes you have to do the unthinkable in order to help that special someone follow their dream even if initially it means possibly breaking their heart. Young hearts do mend and disappointment is part of life. For Brawley this breakup with his soul mate fiery Maggie was just temporary. Just until both had a chance to experience life and go after their goals. In his mind they would reconnect at some later time. Well at least that’s what he told himself. But you see as far as Maggie was concerned Brawley left her behind and broken hearted. She had several issues to deal with after his abrupt departure.

Neither Maggie nor Brawley were ready to really make a forever commitment under usual circumstances that would be readily accepted considering their ages. But as it turned out these were not usual at least not for Maggie.

Fast forward now as adults and back in Maverick Junction Brawley realizes his heart still belongs to Maggie. But Maggie is now ready to spread her wings and take flight to New York to launch her own line of clothing. Brawley is back to stay fully committed to his job as town vet. Once again their paths are diverging.

Maggie feels she has constructed a well-deserved wall around her heart as far as Brawley is concerned but his return to town is definitely putting her in an awkward position. Life in a small town means that their paths would continually cross. But Maggie was leaving and determined to go with her heart intact.

Brawley on the other hand has to face facts that perhaps his chance at a future with Maggie is impossible. He is going to take the high road or is he. Love is worth fighting for even if all the odds are not in your favor.

CAN’T STOP LOVING YOU is an extraordinarily well written story filled with just the right amount of angst to keep you interested from beginning to end. Austin creates a lovely town with intriguing characters who will win your heart. Austin’s lively, witty and engaging dialog rounds out a well-constructed book.

Can't Stop Lovin' You is a beautifully written story of second chances. Not only a second chance at love, but also a second chance at friendship. I love second chance romances. When two characters have a rocky history with one another, it makes for a powerful romance. Watching one character in the relationship do whatever is necessary to make amends with their love always makes me smile when they are able to get past their differences and fall in love. Lynnette Austin's book was all that and so much more. It is the third book in her Maverick Junction series (and I do recommend starting from the first book) so I had a little bit of an awkward first couple of chapters. Since I haven't read the first books, I found that this one started rather abruptly. With that said, I loved the beginning scene. Holy cow, did it show how much Brawley loved Maggie. The man was on a mission. Brawley and Maggie broke my heart so many times. These are two characters that deeply want to forget their past and move on. Maggie is guarded, but she still feels drawn to Brawley. She gives in to their love only to remember how heart broken she was when Brawley left and her guard goes right back up. Brawley's reaction to her pushing him away after their moments of passion nearly killed me. In the end, both characters realize that they have to follow their dreams in order to find happiness within. Brawley had to do it when he was 18 and now it is Maggie's turn. It hurts Brawley to watch her go, but it turns out for the best. That doesn't mean he won't find a way to visit her, because he does and it was awfully cute!

I loved everything Can't Stop Lovin' You had to offer. I adored the characters, both main and secondary. I loved the story and the fact that Maggie doesn't let Brawley get off easy for breaking her heart. The story broke my heart and pieced it back together.
