Thank you to NetGalley, Simon & Schuster and Becka Mack for the early copy.
Jaxon thinks he is only good for three things: starting hockey fights, picking up women and being the best cat dad in the world. When Lennon is supposed to be on her honeymoon, she finds herself stumbling into her her resort neighbours bed instead. She didn’t expect to start her new job as the Vancouver Vipers’ new photographer and run directly into Jaxon.
I've loved each book in the Playing For Keeps series but this book is everything! Jaxon’s past has made him afraid of getting too close to others, and feels like a 9th wheel with his teammates. Mittens is the best cat ever, I love him and all his outfits. I love Jaxon and Lennon so much, the way they support each other is everything - especially the "little" things that mean so much. This series has the best found family, I love them all more and more every book. Cara and Emmett are getting the next book and I can't wait but I secretly feel like they’re going to break me.
Fall With Me is book 4 in the Playing for Keeps series and seriously I’m obsessed! Easily my top read for 2024!
This book made me feel all of the feels! I loved Jaxon's journey to self-worth. His "cat daddy" energy was super sweet and learning his backstory was my favorite. As he grows out of his insecurities, you can't help but just love him. Lennon is his perfect match—fun, sassy, and sexy but also patient and understanding. They really were just made for each other.
The chemistry between them was off the charts, with top tier banter and spice. The found family vibe in this series is everything. The group of friends is amazing and it's so much fun to see them grow. Daddy Carter as always is a hilarious delight.
I’m not sure that anyone can ever beat Adam Lockwood for me, but boy did Jaxon come so very close!!
Emotional, sensual and complex, Fall With Me is as addictive as it is intoxicating. I was completely enthralled by these characters and their story. The chemistry, both physical and emotional, between Jaxon and Lennon is absolute perfection and it just makes the story so much better. This is my first Becka Mack book, but I adore the found family trope, and it’s done so well in this book, that I will definitely go back and read the first 3 books.
10 out of 10, no notes!
I thought the first three books in the Playing for Keeps series were good but Jaxon and Lennon blow their predecessors out of the water. I loved everything about it - the initial ‘meeting,’ the “I think I’m gonna be sick,” Mittens, throwing out PB anything, Ryne’s renamed phone contact, the banter, the texting, Cara, literally everything, the flowers, chef’s kiss, amazing.
Here for his Magic Mike …
stayed for the pussy (Mittens his cat). 🐈
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5 star read.
The banter, friendships, chemistry ahhh it was all so good. I thought Jaxon aka Fuckboy’s story was going to be a surface level hockey smut … but no the “found family” trope had me shedding tears and feeling all the emotions. His character is the most complex of the group and it was nice the story wasn’t rushed in order to peel back his layers.
The true MMC of the story was Mittens… I hope someone makes him an Instagram account.
This book was the most entertaining of the 4 - Coochie Gang Chamber of Secrets anyone?
Carter really was unhinged in this one and I found myself chuckling out loud 😱 between the cat, the DILF comments and the group chat names - it was a fun read.
Becka Mack 👑 I binged this series in a week in preparation for this being my first eARC and I will not be getting over these characters anytime soon.
Thanks to NetGalley for letting me read, I’ll be buying the book because the beautiful hues of the covers make my bookcase look super pretty.
Thank you so much for providing me with this opportunity to read and review this book before it is released.
This book loved loved loved it!!
From the start I was hooked straight into the smut!
Lennon is on her honeymoon all alone and on her last day/night she meets Jaxon. Just when you think it’s going to be a one a done think again.
The chemistry between the FMC and MMC was perfect. The banter, arguments and annoying each other was written so well it felt like I was watching my own friends relationship blossom.
I loved this book so much!
This was one of my most anticipated reads for the year because I have absolutely loved every book in this series and I was SO excited to read Jaxon’s story. My expectations were high for this one and they were definitely exceeded…BECKA - are you kidding me??? I didn’t think you could top Adam freaking Lockwood but yep you did…JAXON RILEY *muffles screams into pillow* seriously where can I find my own Jaxon because he was perfect 😭😩😮💨 and a CAT DADDY like say less 🤚🏼
I also equally loved Lennon the FMC - she was beautiful, strong, funny and very patient with Jaxon through his struggles and insecurities. They were exactly what each other needed and just so damn perfect for each other. I loved their chemistry, the top tier banter, the nicknames they had for each other and all the little gestures Jaxon did for Lennon was freaking adorable 🥹 (even though he was in serious denial 🤣)
Honestly this series is so good, each book just gets better and better. The banter and found family in the Playing For Keeps series is UNMATCHED. I never want to leave this world Becka has created. All the stars ⭐️♾️

The group chats, the found family, the friendships ughhh just everything about this book! I'm not usually a crier, but this book had me tearing up at times, Jaxon Riley was EVERYTHING the way he showed her he loved her without actually telling her, all the little things he did for Lennon & Lennon my god she is a badassss knows her worth that girl (as all girls should!)
And THAT Epilogue..... OOPPPS need I say more.... We need more!
Thanks so much to Netgalley for the ARC!
Fall With Me by @beckamack.author
Book 4 of the Playing For Keeps series 🏒
I was not ready for Jaxon's book, it was everything I wanted and more. Becka has written a ridiculously wonderful book again and it has jumped right to the top of my all-time favourites list.
This book gave me all the feels... laughing, crying, overheating 😉
Jaxon and Lennon were written so perfectly that I felt I knew them. The way they love each other with patience and passion is the sweetest.
The whole Playing For Keeps family are absolute found family goals and I devoured their love and support for each other.
I also can't forget to mention Mittens, the true star of the book. Together with Jaxon and Lennon, they make up the perfect little family.
Thank you to @netgalley and @simonandshusterau for the arc
Make sure you rush to read this one when is released on July 30th!
Cat Daddy Jax? Yes please! Becka Mack is back with the latest installment of her Playing for Keeps series, FALL WITH ME
I loved Lennon and Jaxon's relationship - Jaxon is the definition of 'if he wanted to, he would'. His commitment to show Lennon how special she is and how he cares for her was perfection. I loved Jaxon's growth and his journey of finding his own self worth and realising how loved he is.
As with other books in the series, the found family trope was strong in this book. These guys love hard and love unashamedly.
And best character of all? Has to be the fluffy marshmallow Mittens! Jaxon is the best cat daddy
READ FOR:
Forced proximity
One-night stand
Found family
Hockey romance
Thanks to Simon & Schuster (Australia) and NetGalley for the ARC! Opinions are my own
An absolutely beautiful story by Becka Mack that focuses on found family, finding your self worth and love that is found within.
Tropes:
Found Family
Roommates to Lovers
Forced Proximity
One Night Stand
Reformed Playboy
Spice: 3.5/5
I loved Lennon and Jaxon! The banter between the two was a highlight of this book. Jaxon is the definition of if he wanted to, he could. The acts of service being his love language was chef kisses.
The small acts he did throughout the book made me swoon.
I'll be extremely sad to see this series end after Emmett and Cara's book.
Thanks to Netgalley, Becka Mack and Simon & Schuster Australia for providing me with an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
This book gave me all the feels. Seeing Jaxon find his own self worth and realise that he is loved and he is wanted by those around him. One thing I really love about this series is the found family, these guys all love hard and it's my absolute favourite.
Lennon was exactly what Jaxon needed in his life. She is so patient with him and proves to him that she won't ever leave 🥹 she just loves him the way he deserves to be loved.
And we can't forget cute little Mittens aka fluffy marshmallow mitts 😍 Jaxon is the cutest cat daddy ever and all those photoshoots they do with him 😂 they make the perfect lil family
Fall With Me deserves every star possible!!
This had me blushing and giggling like an idiot and I'm completely obsessed with this book, like oh my god!!
starting this book was like coming home, I didn't realise how much I missed Becka's characters until I picked this up. the friend group in this series is fucking everything, I love their dynamics and how much they care for each other - also the group texts??? these had me in hysterics.
After Unravel Me I firmly thought it was an Adam girlie to my core, but now... Now I'm a Jaxon girlie because that man is perfection (but also they're all perfect and I love them all) the way he was with Lennon was adorable, and some of the things he did for her, I can't take it he is such a softie and ultimate cat daddy!
I really enjoyed Jaxon and Lennon as a couple! the way their relationship grew felt so genuine, the banter between them was top-notch!
Basically long story short, I fucking loved this book with everything in me!! and if you enjoy the below, I think you'll love it too!
- Forced proximity
- One-night stand
- Found Family
- Hockey Romance
Thank you to Netgalley for the ARC of this beauty!
"Fall with Me" merges the fast paced world of professional ice hockey with the intensity of a passionate, sexy romance, creating a captivating read for fans of the sports romance genre. Set against the backdrop of the competitive world of professional hockey, the novel follows the fiery relationship between star player Jaxon Riley and team photographer Lennon.
"Fall with Me" is a fast paced, easy to read book which draws readers into the fun, dynamic relationship of Jaxon and Lennon, as well as skillfully exploring their personal vulnerabilities. Their chemistry is electric, and the intimacy is steamy!
For aficionados of the sports romance genre, "Fall with Me" delivers exactly what you're looking for. It is an expertly written, sexy and fun sports romance, and offers escapism at its finest!
I have read all the other books in the Playing for Keeps series, and I thoroughly enjoyed learning more about Jaxon (although Adam you still have my heart!). Thanks NetGalley and Simon & Schuster (Australia) for the ARC in exchange for my honest review.
Becka Mack, you’ve done it again, Lennon and Jaxon 🥵🔥
Jaxon is a notorious bad boy! Lennon got cheated on the Eve of her wedding, both find themselves in Cabo where they meet!
Then “pleasantries” are exchanged and they end up hooking up and this book is HOT! the fourth in a series!
This book is hot! It is enjoyable read, a little predictable but enjoyable, it made me laugh, smile and it breathe, but it was something I enjoyed reading and couldn’t get enough of!
Thanks Netgalley for the chance to read this arc!
FIVE STARS. FIVE OUT OF FIVE. 5/5 💫🐾🏒💜
* Found family
* Roommates to lovers
* One night stand
Becka are you trying to break my heart in this book? This was by FAR THE SADDEST book of the series, I did not expect to cry as much as I did. This book blew away all my expectations! It was everything I wanted and needed in a romance book.
I loved Jaxon’s character and his vulnerabilities. It was refreshing seeing an mmc having self doubt and feeling unlovable, and the fmc supporting him through these moments. The found family dynamic during these moments made me realise why I love this series so much, and how important the group dynamic is to each book. The book touched on important, real life themes which were portrayed in such a good way.
I loved Jaxon and Lennon as a couple. The banter was great, and their relationship felt so real. My favourite moments were when the group was trying to express how loved, valued, and important Jaxon is and he gets all embarrassed 🥹
So grateful for an early copy 💌
The way I lapped up and ate up every single morsel of this!!!!
Lennon and Jaxon are so much fun, hot and so sweet and precious!!
I love them so so much!! They have my heart!
I sobbed and got so emotional reading this, reading about Jax and how he felt about himself and life and love. How he found his worth and found his love and healed!
Lennon who became just as obsessed with Mittens as
Jax, the photo shoots l love it!
How she found her voice
and her confidence and herself again, and the love ano friendships she so deserves!!
Love as always the found family in this series, how they may be many things, but above all else they are loyal and love unconditionally and always always have each others backs!!
Even if Carter drives them up the wall
Spice was spicing!!! And loved all the tropes in this one!
Especially forced proximity, such a fave for a reason!
If you get me crying, feeling all the feelings, you've done some damn good work sis!
Your brain, what's it like to live in it and have this crazy, wild, funny, silly, goofy, sweet, kind and good hearted motley crew in your head constantly, thank you for sharing them with the world! For letting each of us that want to, be a small part of it!
Never have a I ever, been more in love with an author 🥹 Becka definitely delivered the Jaxson we wanted.
The reformed playboy trope can sometimes feel very “copy and paste” but the way Becka executed this was perfect.
I loved the back and forth hissing between Jaxon and Lennon and how even within the first moments of knowing each other, Lennon felt safe and comfortable to be just be her and her voice.
Jaxon 😮💨 if “he wanted to he would, even when he said he didn’t want to” was a person, it would be this man. I lost count with how many times I sighed nawwww at the things he did for Lennon.
Becka always takes me on an emotional rollercoaster with her books, in the best way possible. The raw and heartfelt topics are always done with so much care and respect.
The family moments between the entire gang just tied everything together like a perfect gift.
Jaxon and Lennon were everything.
POV: Dual
Tropes: Hockey, Runaway Bride, Reformed Playboy, Cat Daddy, frenemies to lovers
Nicknames: Honey, Tidbit,
Smut Index: Chapters 3, 14, 19, 20, 23, 27, 32, Epilogue
Ps.
I don’t wanna hear nothing about chapter 19 being gross. It’s completely natural and normal for some women to feel that way and they shouldn’t be shamed for it.
okay wow.
all of the stars 💫🍯❤️🔥
when i thought that nothing could beat adamrosie in unravel me, becka has blessed us with jaxonlennon and this absolute masterpiece.
jaxon, you sweet, sweet boy. he is the definition of “if he wanted to he would” his crippling insecurities and self doubt had my heart shattering. just wanting somewhere to finally belong and be loved 😭 and lennon, the sweet patient woman loving him exactly the way he needs to be loved, knowing exactly what he needs when he needs it. the perfect cat parents to fluffy marshmallow mitts.
the found family in the playing for keeps series has always been unmatched and i had missed them so much. i was audibly laughing so hard while reading fall with me.
prepare to need tissues from 96% onwards because becka, you will be paying for my therapy after that epilogue 😭🥹🥹🥹
thank you to Netgalley for the arc.
overall, i didn’t love this book. tbh i probably would have dnf’d it if i didn’t receive it as an arc.
there were heaps of really cute moments between jaxon and lennon. for instance when jaxon did lennon’s hair for her when she was too tired, when he got her silk sheets to protect her hair and when he made her a instruction manual on how to use the coffee machine!!
i enjoyed the bonds between the other couples and the whole friendship group. they made me laugh all the time. i think i would have enjoyed this more if i had read the other 3 books in the series but i am interested in getting to know them now. one of my fave things was that the guys call themselves ‘britney’s bitches’ (tagline: ‘oops i did it again’).
i do wish that the book would have explored more emotional depth between the couple and the friends. there were definitely emotional moments but i feel like it was maybe a little too unserious at times. i wanted more individual character development, particularly from lennon in particular. i feel like i was told where she needed to grow and was told that she had grown throughout the book but i would have liked to see more of it.
i also really didn’t like that jaxon’s character ‘didn’t do feelings.' i can’t stand this character trope, and this man is probably at least 30 years old. some other things that made the book less enjoyable were the constant mentions of sex, bragging to their partners family about having sex and the talking with their mouths full. please don’t ever write dialogue like this.
this book was a fun and easy read but it was missing many things for me. i might try and read the other books in this series.
