Perfect beach read!

This book is a perfect read while at the beach, or if you're just at home wishing you were at a beach! When 49-almost-50 Saralyn arrives on the private island, she is grateful to her best friend for passing this vacation to her when plans changed. Saralyn, recently through a difficult divorce, is looking forward to 2 weeks of peace and quiet, utterly alone in a gorgeous villa on a private island. She's an author, so daydreams are a hazard of the job, and one day while on the beach she is sure to be daydreaming when her dream man walks up from the water. Turns out not to be a dream, he's a real person and the billionaire owner of the island.

Both Saralyn and David have baggage and secrets, not to mention the age difference. But they also have amazing chemistry and laugh so much, is a future really impossible to believe? First time reading this author but I will definitely look for more of her novels.

Thanks to the author, publisher and NetGalley for the opportunity to read and review this book, but my opinions are my own.

In this story , newly divorced ghostwriter Saralyn falls for billionaire David on a tropical island. Despite their age difference, they bond over shared interests and enjoy a blossoming romance. David’s emotional backstory and Saralyn’s personal growth add depth, though the narrative occasionally feels repetitive. The island setting is beautifully described, making this light, romantic, and sexy reverse age-gap story a perfect, easy read with a charming location and Insta-love.

Newly divorced ghostwriter Saralyn jumps at the opportunity to vacation at the island where the movie based on one of novels was filmed. Believing the island to be uninhabited, she is shocked to discover the billionaire owner in residence. But soon she can’t deny her attraction to David despite their age difference.

I enjoyed reading this age gap romance. David’s upbringing on television from the seventies and eighties gives the couple common ground and sets the stage for a number of GILLIGAN’S ISLAND guffaws. As an inventor, David appreciates Saralyn’s creative process.

David’s backstory with his icy parents and lack of love provides for a touching character arc, while Saralyn breaks through self-esteem issues and ponders whether to continue ghostwriting or focus on writing novels under her own name.

The narrative felt repetitive at times, the plethora of exclamation points sometimes jarred me out of the story, and I would have liked to see a bit more conflict. The island setting was beautifully described as Saralyn and David fell in love.

Fans of THE IDEA OF YOU are sure to enjoy this older woman/younger man romance.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Thanks to Harlequin Enterprises ULC for providing an Advance Reader Copy via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

I really enjoyed this story for several reasons. The first is that the characters are older and more established in their career in life.

I also love that we get a taste of Insta-love. Sometimes that just hits the spot. Nothing heavy to think about and we can go with the flow. The author took her time and built the main characters a wonderful basis for a long-lasting relationship.

What was great was that the characters took the time to learn about each other through activities and enjoy the amazing location the author brought us. It’s a location you dream of – mostly a private island with pristine beaches, beautiful weather, solitude, and a deliciously hot guy walking out of the ocean. Bliss!

Two Week Temptation in Paradise is an imaginative, light, and sexy read for those times when you don’t want to think about anything heavy! A perfect choice. Reverse age gap, a tropical island, and sweet sexy love. Great diversion read!
