The sweetest of books that tells a wonderful story about being different from each other AND still friends. A lovely story with gentle drawings that were a nice bed-time read for little granddaughters.

A lovely book [with some fun and quirky illustrations] about two unexpected friends [who meet and bond at the grocery store over canned grass] and how they learn that their differences don't actually separate them, but instead make them better together and makes everything okay.

This was delightful and reminded me of my own friendship with "the bestie" [since 8th grade] and how our difference are actually good for us as they help us step out of our own boxes and see the world differently and how it is okay [ ;-) ] for that to happen.

Very well done.

Thank you to NetGalley, Ye Guo, and Wm. Eerdman's Publishing Group/Eerdman's Book for Young Readers for providing this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Goat and Bunny's Differences is a delightful children's book that tells the heartwarming tale of two best friends, Goat and Bunny, who cherish their time together despite their differences. The story revolves around their shared love for eating canned grass, which brings them immense joy and strengthens their bond. However, when they venture into other activities like sharing coffee, going for a hike, or having dinner at Bunny’s burrow, they begin to notice that they aren't as similar as they once thought.

Ye Guo has skillfully crafted a simple yet engaging narrative that is perfect for young readers. The storyline is straightforward, making it easy for children to follow and understand. The illustrations are beautifully done with vibrant colors that capture the attention of the readers and bring the characters to life.

The central message of the book is clear and easily comprehensible: friendship is about embracing and accepting each other's differences. The author conveys this theme effectively, showing that Goat and Bunny’s friendship can endure and thrive even when they have to adapt their plans to accommodate each other's preferences.

Overall, Goat and Bunny's Differences is a charming and meaningful book that teaches children the value of acceptance and flexibility in relationships. Its simplicity, engaging story, and colorful illustrations make it an excellent addition to any child's bookshelf.

My four year old Grandson and I absolutely loved this sweet, story with beautifully detailed illustrations. I think kids 3-7 will like the simple, yet important message of this book.

With a fresh and unique aesthetic style and a topic that is less explored, It is Okay is definitely worth reading.
The main message is well incorporated and is an important one.
Yet, we hoped this had been longer, and bit more complex because the goat and the rabbit and their world are very curious.

I was intrigued by the art style of this book and I really like it for its uniqueness. The story started great too, but I believe there was a lot of room for a bit more fun and some shenanigans. But the message of the story is great.

This is a great teaching book. It teaches that we are all different, but that's OK, we can still be friends and get along. Sometimes we have to find ways around the differences, but that's ok, we can do it. It has cute illustrations, but not overly colorful.. I wish the font was bigger, I had to enlarge every single page to be able to read it. Thanks to Netgalley and Wm. B. Eerdmans Publishing Company for the opportunity to read for an honest review.

Excellent title! I loved this simple book about friendship and compromise.

The illustrations are a great lesson in texture. Pencil crayon is not a medium that is often used in children’s illustrations so I was really suprised and delighted by this book.

The goat’s eyes are my favourite part :)

Cute! Definitely a book for readers on the much younger side, but not babies. I'd say about kindergarten-2nd grade. This is a perfect book for kids to realize that, despite differences and unexpected events, things will work out in the end. I really admired how calm all of the characters were when things didn't go as planned. This sets a really good example for young readers, because this is such an important lesson. I am glad that an author decided to make a cute book with this message that most people will overlook.
Lastly, I want to recognize the illustrations. I actually really liked them! They were simple, yet had detail where it was appropriate. The coloring also gives the whole story a serene feel, matching the teachings of the story.
Great job!
