wow. This book was definitely adventure packed. I did like the characters and the plot. I did not read the first book so it was a little difficult to understand some things at first. but once I got into it then I enjoyed it. I would recommend to readers to not read it until they have read the first one though. Great book for ages 8-12, and would be a great book club pick for young readers. Also enjoyed seeing (reading) about kids making friends with others with a disability.
Arc Copy...Felt very honored and excited I got approved for the ARC. Just like the first one its another swash bugling adventure with mysterious creatures and high stakes adventures in old time Florida!
Samantha San Miquel takes us on a beautiful and exciting adventure in Fathomless, the sequel to Spineless. I didn't read Spineless but the story was so strongly written that it wasn't any problem at all!
Fathomless shows us the story of the Davenport family. Father Davenport is working hard on his carreer, what makes it hard for him to spend time with his kids. Lulu is having a hard time because of that, especially when they go for a trip with the boat and she's stumbling up into some fishing nets. This is the start of a true adventure. When Lulu meets Vic - a blind boy who is able to do far more than anyone should expect.
Together they end up in an adventure of smugglers, secret passages and treasure hunting. The big question is will they find what they are looking for... and will they stay safe!
Fathomlless is an incredible well written story that makes you discover the pieces of the story bit by bit. It is quickly written and easy to read. But also Fathomless is a lovely story for adults to read (together with your kid or alone). This will keep you want to read the story, because no spoilers in the story from begin to end!
A lovely adventure you just have to love!
