For a reworked fanfiction, there were actually some surprises in there, and a lot fewer coincidental melodramas than the original. So, it was pretty good.
I requested this one back in the day as I had every intention of reading it. However, its been years and I still haven't gotten around to it and while I feel guilty at not reviewing a book I think that I need to admit to myself that I won't be reading this one anytime soon....if at all.
As stated in an earlier review, this series represents to me the growth of a persistent author. Helena Hunting has a ton of talent and it's evident that she learns and grows with each new writing. I liked this novel so much more than it's predecessor. The dialogue was tighter, the plot moved at a clip, and the character development (while sometimes repetitive) was there. I liked how the resolution was brought about and felt that the characters got the HEA that I wanted.
