This sounds like a fun way to engage with netgalley over the summer. The bingo card looks fun and a good way to push myself to read some different things.

I like that this event is open to everyone, and that there is a full month dedicated to it. And such a cute name, very summery!

I love the idea of having a camp style event with NetGalley. I have many books on my shelf that I need to read, and this will help me stay excited about getting my shelf back in shape.
The welcome packet describes what will happen during the month of July, and I think my favorite event will be the scavenger hunt.

The bingo is always fun. I am nervous about the talent show. I am an empathy so I write reviews based on my emotion connections to the characters and how it made me feel. I am not an English major and I don't know if my reviews are worth of any talent show. I will still do it to get my badge. I would like to see all the badges that can be earned somewhere on the site. I do use the We are Bookish info.

When I checked my email this afternoon, I had two from NetGalley: one announcing this summer camp, and one letting my know I was approved for an ARC I really wanted. I can’t decide which one to be more excited about!

I think these activities are both really fun for seasoned Net Galley book advocates and a great way to drum up excitement and interest in Net Galley for anyone who isn’t already a part of it. Nearly everyone knows what an ARC is, and we all spread the word about the ARCs we read, but I’ve come across many people who don’t know how Net Galley works. This is a great opportunity for us to advocate for Net Galley as much as we do for the great books we read.

I had a ton of fun filling out the “Get to Know the Camper” template for my Instagram story, and I’m excited to work towards a bingo (or maybe multiple bingos?) on the card. I’m also looking forward to checking out the reading journal, as I’ve never used one and there’s no better time than the present!

As for next year, if I was going to suggest anything at all, I think maybe some type of forum where “campers” could chat a bit would be cool. I understand it may not be possible because it’s a lot of work and it would need to be moderated, but it would be fun to have a place to chat with other book advocates and especially cute to call it The Canteen.

The talent show is a fun idea, and I’ve included a link to my Instagram post for my review of Evocation by S.T. Gibson. I’m especially proud of this review because I was really excited to be approved for a book by one of my favorite authors and worked really hard to write something great. I love the photo I took, too. The post I made and the things I said actually convinced people to get the book, and it made me really happy. And then, the publisher chose to feature my review here on Net Galley, which made me even more proud of it!
