I look forward to participating in activities and seeing others thoughts. I like that the participants will get awarded with a badge and the idea of the talent show. This is such a fun idea! I am looking forward to seeing all the posts and reviews about this event. I do think there is a lot more potential in this that could be taken advantage of. For next year, it would be fun to have competitions for ARCS that are limited in quantity. They could be review writing competitions, or photoshoot comps. There are lots of options! It would also be nice to have a few online panels discussing different aspects of being a book advocate, like how to write a review. (That's something I've been wanting to improve on for a while, but I'm not sure where to start!) Having live events would also increase visibility for the event as well.

Now it's time to debate whether or not a book I DNFed and left a scathing review for is appropriate for the talent show, haha. It would definitely stand out, but I think I'll stick to a positive review.

This is exciting & will keep me engaged this summer! A more fun version of school summer reading! The only thing missing is the free personal pan pizza 🤣

Hey NetGalley! I love the idea of this and would love it if NetGalley had more events like this during the year. This is a good start, but I would be worried about engagement trickling off during the month. The activities included in the packet are good, but you need a way to keep up engagement so we remember to participate/post about it. Kindle has surprise prompts/reading challenges each quarter that are only released on a certain date which help keep my interest. The badge is a definite plus! I love adding badges to my account on NetGalley.

Excited for camp netgalley, maybe this will get be back into writing reviews??? I have really gotten out of the habit of it since I rarely use goodreads for true posting anymore and have transitioned to TheStoryGraph. Netgalley should really consider getting a connection to that site... just sayin

Camp NetGalley is a really fun idea for summer reading, and it's great to see a new badge after so long of inactivity on that front. Hopefully some new badges to earn are on the way for us in 2025! I'm also really digging the Bingo options, particularly reviewing the oldest book on our shelf and raising our feedback ratio (something I am in desperate need of doing...).
