Lindsay Squire delivers another excellent book for beginner witches. The layout is simple and informative and the illustrations are cute.

This book is well organized, informative, and contains a lot of good information for those like myself who have always fancied ourselves a bit witchy.

I really enjoyed the way the author used different sections to organize her workings, and I took notes on many of them to try in future. I really loved her vivid explanation of the grounding ritual and the way her workings are truly about centering and focusing your energy. I also loved the section at the end about all the different correspondences for the crystals, herbs, days of the week, and more, so helpful! I am looking forward to trying some of her workings for myself!

I am very interested in witchcraft so this book immediately caught my eye. I really liked that in the beginning of the book, it explained what spells and rituals were and information on casting spells etc. I also really liked that the spells/rituals were separated by category so it was easy to know which to use. I can definitely see myself using some of these in the future and I want to buy the physical copy to have on hand.

Whimsical and witchy, I enjoyed this quick read that is original and magical that weaves together modern craft with history of spell work. A lovely, cozy read great for curling up with a blanket with.

This was a wonderful book of simple spells and rituals for easy everyday magick. This contains spells for seasons and sabbats, moon magick; money, prosperity, and abundance; career and job ambitions; success and happiness; protection; well-being, and so much more. These spells and rituals use simple ingredients that can easily be found in your kitchen or at your local store.

Squire has compiled a great collection of simple spells that are easy to follow and find the ingredients for. I really appreciate providing spells that are relatively simple to do, like less than 10 steps, because I don’t have a lot of time to do big fancy spells or rituals. There was also a great variety in the types of spells that were included (i.e. jar, candle, tea, etc.).

Overall, if you are looking for a great beginner book of spells or just more simple spells to do, I highly recommend this book.

A nice little book of Spells.
Spells we're laid our nice and clear with a good explanation of when to use and how to carry out to get the best results.
I haven't tried any of the Spells just yet but am looking forward to seeing the results when I do.

The Witch’s Book of Spells is a solid introduction to spell-casting guide as well as an excellent resource for any witch’s bookshelf. A LOT of different types of magic are covered including: ritual guides, crystal grids, tarot spreads, and spells across a range of subjects. Admittedly there are certain types of spells outlined in this book I don’t and wouldn’t ever practice, but there are way more that I would and am interested in.

The Witch’s Book of Spells has a first chapter that is super basic that any reader of this type of book will recognize to help new witches find their way. Beyond that the book dives deeper into specific magic. The strongest sections are on seasons, which has rituals and recipes side-by-side which I think any kitchen witch would have fun trying out, and the last correspondences section which serves as a reference for witch’s to cast spells of their own creation.

This is a book I’d come back to reference many times.

I LOVED this book! A fun introduction to spells to bring some magic to everyday life. Great selection of manifestation, healing and everyday magick. A big plus is the section in the back which shares the meanings of different herbs, crystals and colours to help those starting their journeys

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ out of 5 stars

If you're familiar with Lindsay Squire's work, you'll find this follows in much the same style - a great beginner book, on the shorter side, with a beautiful look to it. Unlike her other works though, this book felt much more personal. Like I really was reading from the author's personal book of spells, rather than a collection of general knowledge. There is an introduction section about spell casting and magic, but then it jumps straight into a ton of spells to try out. I enjoyed the variety - recipes and cooking spells, crystals, oils, candles, tarot, and more, for everything from sabbats to self love to career. There are quite a lot of tools and ingredients though, so if you wanted to do all of the spells, you'd have to have quite a collection or know how to substitute. The correspondences sections in the back could be helpful for this, but beginners might find themselves spending a lot to get all of the supplies. Overall, a fun and quick read that will help add a lot of different spells to your arsenal.

This is a cute spellbook for those who like to cook or bake, want to celebrate the wheel of the year and have an array of different types of spells at their fingertips. It is laid out well and doesn’t seem to over complicate.

I love this book. This is a great introduction to Magick, even for a beginner. It is very informative and includes everything you need to know in a clear and concise way. There is a great contents page so you can find exactly what you are after. Very easy to dip in and out of. There is a great introduction which explains Magic and Spells. Then there is an extensive list of spells - lots to aid personal development and growth.

The writing is empowering and thought provoking. The cover is very cute too. Thanks to NetGalley for this addition to my library!

What a great book. I love all the different chapters and especially enjoyed the beginning of the book that incorporated seasonal recipes. Each chapter is divided into different sections from healing, to buying a house and even a happy pet spell. The drawings are perfectly matched to the spells. At the end of the book, there is a glossary of items that includes oils, crystals, herbs and more. Also the different symbols and the meanings they are attached with. I am going to begin with a simple spell for psychic abilities and move on to a prosperity spell. I can’t wait to make one of the yummy recipes.

I love all of Lindsay Squire's books and "The Witch's Book of Spells" did not disappoint. This book is ideal for Witches who have been practicing for a little while, because it covers so much information. This book is a nice combination of European and North American magicks, everything from Wiccan holidays to Hoodoo, and Granny Magick. I absolutely loved this book, I wish this volume was around about twenty five years ago, because it would have saved me from researching, gathering, and handwriting one of my earlier Grimoires. This book is a must have for your witch library!
