What a fantastic read - my favorite book so far this year - edge of the seat all the way. Such a brilliant read - could not put it down. Highly recommended, cant wait to read Michelle's other books. Superb.

If you have not read The Housemaid by Freida McFadden or The Maid by Nita Prose, I think this book will do you justice.

I think since I've read so many books with similar story lines, characters, etc that it just fell flat for me.
I'm very good with predictions so did have this one figured out, I DNF'd it towards the end. Nothing was really exciting me enough to keep me going.

I enjoyed this book. It took me a bit to get into it but once I did the plot propelled me along until I finished the book. All I wanted to do was get to the end and see what the conclusion was. Really a page-turner, I recommend this book

June takes great pride in her work as a maid at the Cedarwood Manor hotel. Each morning she arrives, loads up her cart with love and care and off she goes to clean the hotels luxurious hotel rooms.
June quietly goes about her job cleaning the guest rooms, careful to avoid conversation with the guests. She must keep her life private and avoid people finding out who she is.
Whan a woman is found dead in one of her rooms and a ten year old girl is reported missing from the hotel, June begins to panic. Then she receives a note from someone claiming to know who she is and what she did. But do they really know? Desperate to keep the secrets surrounding her life safe, June moves full speed ahead to clear her name.
A stunning thriller that will keep you hooked until the spectacular ending.

I wasn't planning on devouring this book in one weekend, but I did and have no regrets.! The Hotel Maid alternates between two POVs, but how they are related isn't revealed until the very end. I found myself piecing together bits of the story, trying to make sense of it all.

Here's why I loved The Hotel Maid:

The main characters are interesting. There are some that you will hate (because they are terrible people) but none are boring. This goes for the main characters and the ancillary characters.

The book has good pacing. The reader will have more questions than answers, but you are on a journey. Half the fun is getting there!

The story gets complex, but the author clearly communicates what is happening.

This is my first book by Michelle and honestly, I can't believe I just found her!
Her writing is incredible, keeps you on your toes, and pulls you in and doesn't let go!

This was a riveting thriller book. Most thriller readers should enjoy it immensely. I’d highly recommend it to most thriller readers. Pick it up on publication day.

I’m sad to say that I wasn’t ‘wowed’ by it. I feel the whole maid storylines have had their time. It felt a little like the Freida books without as many twists and turns.

The character development was great, it had moments of suspense but not enough in my opinion to classify it as a thriller.

The writing style was well done. Descriptive although lacked something to make me want to keep turning the pages. Maybe it’s just me, but I expected something more. The ending was great, but I wasn’t really invested in turning pages until about 75% of the way through.

I would absolutely read more by this author though because perhaps I just need something that isn’t about a ‘maid’. Something with a completely different storyline.

I was very pleasantly surprised by how much I ended up liking this book. It started out kinda iffy for me, but as the story went on I got more and more interested. I was constantly trying to put the puzzle pieces together and then I thought they came together well. I loved the multiple POVs.

I started reading this hoping it wasn’t a copy of The Maid by Nita Prose. But while I enjoyed that book, it had none of the non-stop page-turning thrills that this one does. Honestly, I read it all in one sitting and I couldn’t get enough of it. The author just has a way of drawing you in and immersing you in the story – I never once found my attention drifting. Sure, there are similarities to that other story, but I’m sure hotels are pretty much run the same way, so of course there will be similar characters and scheduled work activities these characters do that would be the same in any story about maids.

There’s so much that can’t be said about the book because of spoilers, so I’ll just say that June is the maid in question who works at a beautiful luxury hotel frequented by the wealthy and obnoxious. As a worker whose presence is typically overlooked, she sees and hears all sorts and doesn’t let any tidbit slip by. Part of it is curiosity, but it’s also for self-preservation. The guests aren’t the only ones with secrets, and June ensures that it stays that way. Or else.

June lives with a woman called Tess. Tess takes an interest in Erica Kelly, and then June finds out why.

This book kept me engrossed, wanting to find out how all the characters are connected. The plot is intricate and emotional.
The author certainly knows how to keep the reader's attention, and I would love to read more by Michelle Dunne.

I straighten the apron wrapped around my waist and swipe the key card in the guest room door. As I place the cleaning bucket by my feet, I see the woman lying unmoving on the plush carpet, her eyes frozen.
What a start, the maid June finding the woman they all hate dead in Cedarwood hotel for the rich.
The story is told in two pov, June's and a young girl called Mia. If you love Freida McFadden this book will blow you away, it's absolutely sensational and I'm grateful to Storm publishing for sending it to me as I wouldn't have caught this amazing read. No
The twists the storyline and the gripping tension are phenomenal. I read this book in one sitting and wow the end twist was worth it.
I loved how the author brought everything neatly together, how she kept me glued to the book and wanting to read more and more, honestly at times I think I forgot to breathe.
Dunne is a fantastic writer, her work is polished and there was a certain creepiness to the story that had me totally hooked.
I think Dunne will become one of my new go2 authors for psychological thriller books

The Hotel Maid is told from two different perspectives and two different families. It was a little confusing at first, but I could guess how it was all going to come together at the end and how everyone was related to which family. It was a quick read and very entertaining to see how the two stories conflicted and coincided.
