There were some interesting parts to the book, but it was sadly let down by repetitiveness and unnecessary details, for example one person said X but we know that’s false because X. I found that the book was double the length it should be because it spent so long refuting things people have said, rather than just concentrating on being an accurate biography.

A very extensive book on Abe Saperstein and the Harlem globetrotters which the author did an enormous amount of research. It was interesting to read about probably the most fascinating basketball teams of all time. Much of the same information was repeated multiple times which became repetitive and slowed down the book. I will still recommend this book as a great history of the Globetrotters.
