This was a super cute continuation of volume 1, except for one thing.
Yikes, but what happened to the artwork!?!? Unless it was like that in the first volume and I never noticed. It wasn't ugly per say, but usually only when drawing the MC h did the artwork look cartoonish, which resulted in her looking incredibly immature. Everyone else looked normal.
This is probably just a "me" thing, as others really loved this and focused on the story and the characters, rather than the artwork, but the artwork just distracted me from fully enjoying the very cute story and the situations the characters were in. Which is a shame, because it was adorable.
3, YMMV and I hope I read the next one right, stars.
My thanks to NetGalley and VIZ Media LLC for an eARC of this book to read and review.
The series continues to be cute and funny just like the first volume, and I just want to keep rooting for everyone! It's a breath of fresh air to see a sweet high school romance manga like this one, and I am loving everything about this book.
Another fun installment in this series, I really liked this one. I enjoy how relatable the characters are and how much I (read assume) think that teens would love this story.
I'm really enjoying these new manga titles that are more about healthy relationships than the drama. Polar Opposites does that while throwing in some good laughs. In volume 2 we get hints on what may be a new couple from our cast, or at least they're working on getting to know each other. I look forward to reading the next volume.
This was a strong second volume in the series and has encouraged me to continue reading the story. The characters were developed further and more page time was given to some of the main characters' classmates while fleshing out their own relationship dynamics. It was very funny and cute, perfect for a light-hearted read. It also flipped a few tropes on their head in an innovative and more modern approach.
This digital ARC was obtainable via NetGalley for an honest review.
Volume three turned out to be just as cute the previous volumes. However, there wasn't many events happening in this book that made my heart go pitter patter.
I love this series so far. The dynamics between Miyu Suzuki and Yusuke Tani is adorable because of how different they are. I loved seeing their relationship further evolve and change in this volume. I really enjoy the character tropes and events of the story. I'm excited for the next volume
